Nothing is impossible, I mean SNK went from KOF 12 to KOF 13. Even Capcom went from CvS to CVS2.
Guess which has more purchasing power and thus more of a say? I’ll give you a hint, they think that zoning is cheap.

Your wish may come true.
Capcom has recently said in it’s annual report:
“We launch sales of popular series titles held by thecCompany approximately every 2.5 years. This is because the development of a single major title usually requires 3-4 years.”
This means that if Super Street Fighter IV AE came out in December 2010, expect the next Street Fighter no earlier than May 2013.

I’m calling 2015 for SF5.
I hope Capcom sits on SF4 for at least another 3 years, the game is just a little under 5 years old, its a baby in FG years.
Ditch the current graphic style. Remove all goofiness. Give the characters back ALL their supers (ultras should be the ONLY thing you have to select, all supers available by default as long as you meet meter requirements, ala mvc3: shinkuu hado = 1 stock, shinkuu tatsumaki = 2 stocks, shin shoryu or evil ryu transform = 3 stocks), and allow multi-level/stock super meter. Add new characters, including King Cobra.
Why even have Ultras?
Ultras should stay in the IV series as it’s defining mechanic. Personally, I’d like to see the return to 1 meter only (not counting guard or stun meters).
Make the storyline take place after SF3.
Don’t wait 5 years then go into production for one year. Spend more of that time in development! If you’re going to make us wait 6 years I would hope, for a forerunner in the industry, they would spend a lot of that time developing it.
Please god age the characters. Tekken has been the only fighting game that has done this right.
I’d love for the series to subtly borrow some “animu” mechanics and make for a faster, more aggressive game.
-Focus already works as a roman cancel type thing, take out the dash requirement and actually make it a cancel.
-Option to dash or run, maybe make it so that double tapping forward makes a dash, but holding forward continues it into a run.
-Attacker should retain advantage/momentum even without having to knock their opponent down.
-Recovery options on knockdown/mid air to balance out the above.
-Air block (except for grounded normals).
Yes, some of these aren’t really “animu” but, aside from airdashes, that’s what some people think of when thinking about them.
Blanka and Twelve die in a plane accident, never seen in the series again
That’s all I want really
Good point. I’m already tired of cinematic supers.
All female roster.
Okay 1 black guy to host the Tournament. Maybe he’s named learzA(ck).
Its a test really.
New charge character. But I don’t know if Capcom x DIMPS could even do that now.
Thank you for reminding me of how jealous I was of my Super NES owning friends when I was in HS since they had the better version of TF.
There is a time and place for them. Usually for level 3s or similar to drive the point of how important a moment hitting that super is. Not every other round in a set.
dunno about TF on Genesis, but TF on NES was pretty good… it had Casey and Hothead
and Splinter would drop a red ball somewhere on the stage during battle that you could pickup and launch it as a fireball
ontopic: i hope SF5 has a more mature vibe to it. the cartoony theme was done to death…
DJ is flying the plane and is arguing with T.Hawk about which episode of Breaking Bad they want to watch on Dee Jay’s I-Touch.
Seriously, don’t age the characters. I don’t know where people get this idea that its a good thing. When done right you just have older characters (yawn) and when done wrong you have Soul Calibur 5.
Every SF character on Mugen’s engine.
Fuck making the character “less cartoony.” I want the models to be based on Kinu Nishimura’s art.
