Ideas for Street Fighter 5

omg dude, stop trying to be the internet police with all this join date n grammar bs. If you couldnt understand my point then theres something wrong with you. I dont wanna argue, i just had to defend myself from your pointless jabbing. Dont take the internet so seriously. You thought you were being cool by pointing out my join date n you were wrong. Stop grasping at straws tryna somehow make me feel defeated. Youre just making yourself look like more of a petty person than youve already shown. Youre wrong, no big. Now add something to the topic or let it be.

 1. Make bold progressions with the storyline. Which means your favorite character may be dead or not return this game.
 2. Make minor yet significant alterations to all returning characters play styles. (ex: Give Guile a new special move or maybe alter a Shotos hurricane kick)
 3. Give each character their own stage & music like in SF2.
 4. Bring back Parries. Make them more risky if you don’t want ppl do abuse them (example: Recoverable grey damage for whatever attack you parried)
 5. Drop focus attacks. But keep EX cancels.
 6. Regulate Ultras or drop it all together. Ultras should only supplement an overall comeback strategy you put in motion with skill. No Ultra alone should take 45-60% damage.
 7. More strict inputs. No shortcuts.
 8. Less cartoony art style. Chill out with the muscles.
 9. More bonus stages.
 10. More of a statistical breakdown when giving out letter grades at the end of a match.
 11. Faster gameplay.
 12. A really good tutorial mode. Trials aren’t enough. Teach beginners the basics. Give pros frame data, the ability to turn hit boxes on, and record.
 13. A logical and rewarding Ranking System. Give players some cool cosmetic upgrade only attainable by winning a lot.
 14. Reward players for playing the game with FREE unlockables (concept art, costumes, colors, classic music, emblems, etc).
 15. Bring back the winning quotes with your opponent looking like they got their ass kicked.
 16. Bring back vomit, sweat, & some blood when you get hit really hard.
 17. Get the crowds in the background stages more involved. Have them “ooooo”, “aaaaa”, & chant the players name of who ever has great momentum in the fight.
 18. A ton of new characters. If anybody returns, its from SSF2T era. Bring back the Alpha series if ppl want to play a gumbo of old ppl.

Please oh please no focus attacks.

lol okay chief, I’ll wait til your head deflates a little.

Not much looks dated about KoF XIII but from reading a couple of your posts you seem to be quite the know-it-all. I doubt you could recreate what’s going on in that game.

I never said recreate. With paper and a pencil i said i could do better. And yeah I think KOF XIII graphic style does look dated. Calm down “chief”, its ok that someone on the internet has a different opinion than you.

BTW - nice join date. Get it?

I don’t necessarily have a problem with your opinion but you didn’t really answer the question. Those sprites don’t look like they came from any era in gaming as far as I’m concern.

Your arrogant retort wasn’t needed or asked for, but it’s my fault for thinking you were capable of answering my post accordingly.

You were kind of a dick with the whole lol chief head deflating line. Im not tryna fight man im just getting sick of people coming at me so hard on this board because my opinions are outside the box. What can I say about the look of KOF? I dont know i just feel that with the 2d sprites it couldve been a ps2 game. I just think that look is mostly dated. Sprites rendered in 3d have more dimension to them no pun intended. Let me ask you this, do you think if the KOF models were the same thing but rendered in 3d that it would look worse?

It’s not like it wasn’t unwarranted. Like I said if you would have answered the question instead of boasting what you could do the snide remark wouldn’t have come from me.

Kanye Shrug

No offence taken but there were atleast a handful of KoF games that were on the PS2 and they never looked quite that sharp. And being an owner of most of the KoF 2D sprite based games for the PS2 aswell as KoF 2006 I can honestly say that the 3D models look better (There being very few exceptions). However the 2D sprites featured in KoF XIII look incredibly detailed.

King Cobra and Zubaz for SF5.

 1. Include Cody, Guy and Haggar
 2. Call it Final Fight 4
 3. ???
 4. Profit

Seriously:

1: A story that makes some sort of logical sense. No more so and so suddenly appearing because they have a hard on for Ken or want to get laid or to get back their favorite postage stamp.

2: If they’re going to stick to 2.5D just do what Niitsuma did with Marvel. No more Liefeldian art style.

3: No more comeback mechanics. No more reversal-friendly mashing. End of story. Even casuals hate this. If you’e going to include any kind of comeback mechanic have it be a risk like Combo Breakers in MK or Neomaxes in KOF13. They take away huge amounts of meter and will leave you at a disadvantage if you don’t use it right.

4: Option to have input shortcuts. And it shouldn’t come in the form of Gems.

5: Rollback netcode with PING NUMBERS. Stop fucking using fucking colors!

6: Online training mode.

7: Bonus stages come back in the form of challenges.

8: Have an open beta to iron out any bugs, glitches or OP bullshit.

9: At least half the cast is made up of new characters. So let’s say there’s a cast of 32 let’s have 4 per franchise (SF2, Alpha, 3S, and 4).

10: Release on PC without GFWL. Release it on Steam FFS.

11: No gems. No pay to win bullshit.

12: Color editor. But no neon or obnoxious colors.

13: Have a Sonny Chiba-inspired character to finally tie the series in with the original Street Fighter movie.

All these people who ask for Street Fighter 5 to have a cast of 1/2 new characters need to remember

 1. People hated Street Fighter 3 because of its new characters ( Capcom had to add in throwbacks to appease fans)

 2. People still hate Soul Calibur 5 for too many new characters that play exactly like the old characters.( The 17 year time skip for no reason doesn’t help either).

 3. You personally will probably hate most of the new characters. Out of the new characters in SF4, I would argue that only 3 are popular enough with the community to be seen in a new official SF game ( Juri, Abel, C.Viper and maybe Seth or Hakan since they’re so weird). Rufus and El Fuerte are hated by the majority of the community and Oni is just an incredibly uninspired design like Twelve.

For the love of God Capcom, if you do make a new character no more DBZ-esque characters or Shotos.

Also
Stricter inputs. Give new players an Easy mode.

Please bring back Guard Meter!

Shrink the reversal window by 1/2.

Comeback Mechanics should die in a plane crash with T.Hawk.

I like SF4’s cast size since most of the characters have a ton of play and get a community behind them, but anything over 40 might be pushing it.

Reward Rushdown, I like MK9’s idea of making the back dash slower than the toward dash, keeps the game fast.

Give each character a new move ( SF4 was pretty good about this actually).

Dramatic Battles would be great.

It doesnt matter what they do for SF5, everyone is just going to complain about it.

Here’s the recipe for a flawless SFV.
Spend the next 5 years making it.
Can it for 3 years.
Re-open the can.
Spend the following 2 years adding characters and improving the balancing.
Can it for one year.
Re-open can.
Spend 1 year adding features and new balancing.
Can it.
Can it again.
Bundle a canned canning of SFV with the ‘40 Year Anniversary Edition’ of Super Fighting Street HD.
Package with a well-preserved human fetus, wearing a white bandanna and sunglasses.

Juri Han.

PUT IN EVERY SF CHARACTER EVER AND FUCK BALANCE

DEAD SERIOUS.

Make it faster than 4, smaller reversal window, no FAs or ultras. Maybe some sort of momentum meter that rewards pressure and successful mixups, and rewards you if you break your opponents momentum. Some story elements that advance Ryu’s story and contributes to his evolution as a fighter (his new style or moves). An actual story mode could use gems or xp to unlock moves and combos to make some really beast fighter by the end of the story. Afterwards you could play that fighter against other story mode fighters online. Then have a legit vs mode with rank based cosmetic unlocks, win poses, taunts. Everything needed to smoothly run a tournament available from the moment you power on the game.

Button mapping like 3soe so you can tap tap tap done. Cmon capcom how hard was that?

Online multiplayer should have a real lobby mode where you can challenge others, text chat, view stats and rank, and most importantly support multiple matches running at once. A 3d lobby that simulates an arcade would be cool, allowing you to manipulate an avatar and find competition, spectate games, and could bring another dimension of unlockable goodies. All in all would like to see larger lobbies to give the game a more community social feel, not feel like my opponents are materializing from thin air to spank me in endless.

I believe what we want does not matter. They will most certainly consider two possibilities for designing SF5/CvS3/new-Dardstalkers:
[]OG SRK players, tournament players;
[
]GameFAQs, Capcom Unity, SF manga/Anime public.
Which one will it be? Oh, the mystery of the century!

Ideas for street fighter 5? I got one:
No new street fighter for the next 2 years

Bigger mystery is if Capcom will learn from their mistakes with Strekken.
