The thing that annoyed me the MOST about sf4 was that it really didn’t offer much if anything new to the series. SF2 started us off with 2in1’s and supers, Alpha’s expanded into more technical aspects like air techs and custom combos, 3 series brought us parries love’m or hate’m. SF4 brought us…focus attack, a watered down parry mechanic? Fadc is new to SF but, not exactly ground breaking (GG roman cancels, KOF special cancels, etc etc). I don’t want to play ANOTHER version of ST. I would like a NEW SF game with new mechanics. You can take some pointers on what made a good sf from previous ones and build a great foundation with a brand new mechanic on top of it.
That got long winded but the reality is that if you want a game like ST, why not just play ST? It seems you are not interested in Capcom taking another chance with SF and that is all I want them to do. Capcom, don’t play it safe like sf4, create the cool NEW sf that you guys are capable of.
I wouldn’t cry at all if the next SF had no meter management at all. This is partly because I suck when it comes to remembering to respect my opponents bar, but also I just think “retreating to gather resources” like you’re playing an RTS is kind of lame and there’s something cool about playing with exactly the same capabilities from start to finish.
My character roster would be Original: Ryu,Ken,Guile,Chun,no blanka please! SF2 series: Cammy,Sakura,Akuma,Dan 3S: Elena,Alex,yun,yang,Sean and no hugo.Alpha:Karin,Birdie, SFIV:Fuerte,Juri,Abel And ofc some new SFV characters (atleast 5 new) I wish the game was more offensive than SFIV and SFxT and no parrying this would be my perfect SFV not like anyone care but i write it anyway
IMO it really doesnt. And aside from looking dated they look stiff (maybe i should just say not as fluid, as simple as it sounds think of weskers standing H). You know what would be great? Taking sprites as detailed as those in KOFXIII and rendering them in 3d. Just as an example tho tbh i really dont see anything special about the way kof looks. Opinions are opinions but my background is art and i could come up with better stuff myself on paper than whats in the game i feel. KOFXIII is way overrated anyways imo. Its for elitists to say its a “real” fighting game to make themselves feel cool about playing something that isnt too “mainstream”. I know that kinda ass backwards mentality well. Game doesnt suck but its not really bringin anything new to the table. Overrated doesnt mean bad just, overrated. Sorry i got off subject there.
I just clarified a few posts above that ive been on this board for a while under several different names most recently as The Comeback Kid. Besides the fact that you dont read threads you post in(adding nothing to the discussion in the previous post btw) youre such elitist trash you dont know that a join date on 1 particular internet message board has no bearing on the worth of someones OPINION. Maybe if we were talking tech but even then a message board join date has nothing to do with how long or how seriously someone takes the game in real life. Ive been playing fighters since WW in the arcades 7-11s n pizza joints. On top of that theres variables like maybe youve been playing 2 years but someone else with less time in trains better… or simply learns faster. Youre join date is a year after street fighter 4 dropped so i dont know how you have such an elitist attitude, Ive been around longer than you, not that it even matters.

No it doesnt. You dont know what peoples reasons are… I wasnt banned, i moved n lost my internet for a while n forgot my password. I never stopped playing or reading the board when i had a chance. SF is my favorite fighting franchise and I rather liked the SFIV series, but every time I think of a SFV, I want to push its release back 10 more years.
