IC: Tek-Case Mini

i got my order in for a mini! i made an outrageous request of gold etching on black.

Order sent!

Shit with the way this thread was going I figured I had a couple more months, gonna have to pass right now. Sorry

$52 for a super sexy case ;-; arthong why would you drop this in december, I literally just had money evaporate into computer parts and christmas gifts, bad timing dude, I’ll catch the next batch

is it possible to use all screw-in buttons in the mini?

As long as you stick with Seimitsu style nuts for the buttons (even if the actual button it self are Sanwa) I think you should be fine.

thanks!

I LOVE my tek-mini. It just feels so nice, really sturdy construction and sexy as hell. Im in the process of moving, as soon as my camera is found I’ll have to snap some pics.

Are the holes on the top panel for mounting the stick compatible with an LS-32 and will that stick fit in without any clearance issues on these new mini cases.

I would recommend the flat mount panel over the s plate but I don’t see why not.

The why not would possibly be because the LS-32 requires more clearance below the panel than a JLF, and even if it squeezes in nice n’ tight then you have to worry about if movement will cause the stick to scrape the bottom of the case. The cases are sexy as hell, but the question is interesting. Looking just on pics, I wouldn’t be able to tell.

Well here was my logic

Well the proper mounting height of a LS-32 is typically mount as close to the panel as possible.
The S - Plate for the LS-32 is to close gaps created by certain joystick mounts, not to create them.
But as the under panel of the Minicase is flat, your bet off with the flat panel.

I use the flat mount plate with Art’s provided plastic spacers. If the stick appears to be too short go without the spacers.

@Cheap_Scrub
Nice thinking, that was something I did not take into account.
I was thinking the LS-32 is wider than it is deeper compared to the JLF.

You might have to partially disassemble the LS-32 first. Remove the PCB before mounting the joystick.
Then reattach the PCB and gate after the body of the Joystick is mounted.

i wanted a stick that was portable and would turn as few heads as possible when brought out in public. the tek-case mini was the best solution. thanks art!

Oh my god, that’s the ideal size I would want for a stick! Is Art still doing this?

I order cases and other things from Art and be prepared to pay at least $45CAD for shipping.

As for the availability of the Mini-Case, Art said it will come to his site eventually. The people posting them now got in early when Art released a form a while ago.

damn that’s a pretty penny spent on shipping, who does art ship with?

Well I’m basing this off of the Tek-Case, and he ships with USPS iirc… Shipping is not getting cheaper these days and CDN currency is shit right now too.

Art ships via USPS. At least that is how my last order came in.

I know that UPS makes people pay way more for shipping across the border than you should actually be charged.

USPS is definitely solid though. NAFTA my ass with rates like that though.

Looks like I am about 3 months late. Don’t visit the forums as often. Sent in an order regardless. Is there anybody that requested and didn’t get an order in?
