Wasn’t sure where to ask this, but I guess I’ll ask here: does anybody know the exact properties of Ibuki’s f+MK overhead move? Specifically, what frame does she become airborne?

Also maybe the properties of the hiens as well.

How/when do you do the j.fierce safe jump again?

You can time a jump-in meaty enough so that it will force the opponent to block if they don’t reverse, but if they do reverse, you can land quickly enough to block their reversal. This works because there are very few moves in ST that hit on the first frame.

Safe jumps are much more practical against moves that do not have hitting frames at the very beginning. For example, it’s very easy to do safe jumps against Boxer’s Buffalo Charge, because the quickest version (Jab) has a window of 11 non-hitting frames in the beginning, which gives you plenty of time to land. Safe jumps are extremely hard (or impossible) against moves that have very few (or zero) frames of start-up.

As for when, the easiest setup might be SJ immediately after a back throw (as seen in the youtube example). You can also do it off of a neckbreaker, tsumuji, forward throw, or any other untechable knockdown, provided your timing and spacing is on point.

wat is the exact way to safe jump cammy after a necbreaker and mk tsumuji knockdown

After a neckbreaker: instantly whiff cr.MK, then jump.
After mk.tsumuji: instantly whiff st.MP, then jump.

I still dunno why you’d want to safe jump Cammy when you can just vortex. Much easier.

Also something I found out: if you aim your j.LK right on top of Cammy’s head, you can make her dp whiff. It won’t exactly be a safe jump (possible autocorrect?) but it sure is ambiguous as hell.

You’ll eventually have to learn how to neckbreaker punish people that try to escape your vortex. Throwing away your vortex really really reduces Ibuki’s damage output.
