Only a 19 dmg difference (501 vs 482) but there’s also +198 stun and 60 or so meter gain.
“Easy” is subjective. For some people, quickly doing U1 motion isn’t a problem. For others, they get EX raida.

people find it easier to 1-frame/sjc than to u1? You’re right about the damage difference though. You got more frames to punish Cannon spike with u1 than with jaband due to spacing, tc4 may turn into far lp xx mp
Regardless, the easiest punish is clean u2 anyway =]
Can anyone teach me how to properly option select against Akuma. I cant seem to get it right and when i try to OS jump in neckbreaker it never comes out and he teleports away.
When you jump in with a lk or mk, or whatever you like (no specials like kunai); do the HP Neckbreaker before you land. The idea is that SSFIV will execute the Neckbreaker if the air attack didn’t connect. You can do the OS very slowly and very early.
Not unless you bait it, and jump in properly: Ga1rwFCYnVw]YouTube - Super Street Fighter 4 Endless: RedCaliburn [Ibuki] vs Kether [Hakan
*See 1:04 and 2:25
If you jump forward, and then throw a kunai, you gain that forward momentum. If you do it right, you land on the other side without harm, right next to him. You can get away with a free punish. Also super move can save your life in case you did a mistake.
However, if you did the jump in the wrong timing or threw the kunai too early, or forget to kunai… Well lets just say that it won’t be pretty.
I’m pretty sure that Hakan just simply did his ultra too early.
Yeah, he could have waited for a Kunai; it’s cool though, he reacted to the jump itself which would have worked for just about every character but shotos, and Ibuki. Shotos will just Tatsu outta it, but I always get grabbed 'cause I jump in on them in the corner. (doh!)
I hope I am posting this in the right place (and also the announcement link on the first page doesn’t work!). This isn’t really anything technical related but I am fairly new (only have had the game for about 2 weeks, never played a Street Fighter game before) and have started playing as Ibuki. Still learning combos and other moves so I spend a lot of my time with her in training. I was told by a few people that Ibuki is too complex for a beginner and I should try to main as someone else. Is this true at all? I don’t really feel like changing…but was told that I would get frustrated eventually so I figured I should get some input from other Ibuki players.
It’s ultimately up to the player, but in my opinion you should start with a very simple/basic character, like Ryu.
or ken and just uppercut the whole time
i thought spamming was frowned upon?
Ignore jrock. He’s just trolling.
lol i was just kidding but yea ryu is a good beginner character
i am having a hard time beating challenge 15 someone told me to cancel the first punch in the agemen with the neck breaker but i don’t know how to do that can someone please provide me with some advice, thanks.
peace
What don’t you get? Do your neckbreaker earlier. Before Agemen hits your opponent twice.
i try to do the neck breaker before the second agemen connects but i’m having a hard time getting the timing down do i try to cancel the agemen before it the first punch has landed. just know that i got the game today and haven’t played street fighter since nintendo so my timing is probably horrendous.

i have never played this before so verbal assistance would be better to help me conceptualize as opposed to me trying to make out some twitchy movements while trying to sync that up with the gameplay footage.
