Combos you should know.
ALL her Target Combos. Suck it up and remember them. Some you’ll prolly never use.
c.lp c.lp s.lp s.mk ender
c.lp c.lp s.mk ender
c.lk c.lp(or lk) s. lp s.mk ender
F+mk s.lp s.mk ender
You can always go from c.lp to mk and eliminate the s.lp but its a 1 frame link and the s.lp is meant to make it easier. 3 frame link.
Go to training for everything.
Edit-In the corner. use Ex Tsumuji - (Kazegirl, C.Fp, Raida
Theres more but harder and more situational and you’ll learn it in time

And Can someone tell me why Cr is better than Cr for poking? They have the same frame’s so it seems even to me and they seem about the right lengths.
i guess u forgot to type which CR. to compare with.
Does plinking help with Ibuki at all? Is it dangerous to play footies with Ibuki?
Possible if u know how to use em. as for footsies, she doesnt have that great footsie game at all…though f+lk into chains, as well as cr.lk could be her only
***I wonder if you can play Ibuki defensively or just different from the rushdown guessing game.
And what is your playstyle with Ibuki? What is the most common playstyle? ***
vortex and Oki. Pressure with links and baits. get advance = confuse oppnent more often and more pressure. other than that, it’s all ur Charisma
***Is their any tutorial that can help a noob do her SJC > Ultra? ***
yup. linked it up there
the rest of the question the predster alrdy answerd them…GL practicing
Oh and I plan to main Ibuki. I’m trying to learn everything about street fighter. I just got the game and my stick. I was always a stream monster but I never got myself to paly
Really depends on the situation. IIRC, Cr. MK has faster frames and longer reach. Cr. Mp is just too slow for my tastes, but good for some frame traps since it has ridiculous long active frames.
they are about the same, the red hitboxes mean nothing as far as telling reach in this scenario… its HOW FAR the red hitbox extends from the BLUE dot at ibukis feet that shows the actual range… on that pic for the cr.mk, the blue dot is missing… it represents te starting position of ibukis sprite… dead in the middle. the yellow dot represents ibukis ending position.
i tested it in training mode awhile back and they all have about the same range: cr.mp,st.mk,cr.mk
although cr.mp does SLIGHTLY have more range than either iirc. its hardly f notice and basically has no benefit.
when you get cr.mp stuffed all day you will start to see… it basically has shitty priority. whereas cr.mk has the most priority out of her pokes and also has the most safety on wiff… you put the 2 together and cr.mk is highly spammable with little safety issues. its alot safer on wiff for instance.
however it has no followups which knocks it down VERY far… if in range for cr.mk you are probably in range for st.mk which has about the same priority but is ALOT more unsafe on wiff, but does a shit ton mre damage on hit cause of tsumuji follwup plus vortex
the theory fighter way to apply these moves is like this:
cr.mp for frame traps and meatys on waking and landing opponents.
st.mk for after dashins and in pokestrings.
cr.mk when at neutral game against highly mobile characters with good buttons: chun, dic, akuma shotos in general, because highly mobile characters are alot more capable of making ibuki wiff… so you need a safer move on wiff in that case… plus you want something that has good priority t try and beat those characters great buttons.
but all in all you want to try to get into range for st.mk as much as possible since thats where your damage is going to come from… but its alot easier to get there if you use a decent amount of cr.mk since it can limit opponent options on the ground cause of its good priority.
I gotta second this and i’m a huge fan of c.mp but it’s just one of her tools.
I dont sleep on it as most as some here but i get where they are comming from.
But it’s safer on wiff the s.mk due to her leaning back not to mention she has the same follow up options.
I have a small question:
how is that i sometimes trade with shoto jump ins when using b+mp
should b+mp always stuff it clean?
do you have to do it early or late?
Should you use another aa instead?
Yeah, sometimes it trades, if you’re spaced right you should normally hit them clean with the first hit and then you can cancel into command dash for mix-up and/or cross-up.
oke so im totally getting my ass whooped by bison (vega japanese). his freaking light scissor kick is killing me! there’s no way to punnish that thing on block is there? Also the cr lk into light scissor after the first scissor kick stuffs all my medium and hard punches/kicks so there’s totally nothing i can do (-__-) but just sit it out and hope for the best. Also the charge down - up punch thingy he has (devil hand) is killer! In the above vid it showed you can command dash x2 to anti air him when he lands but that doesnt work if the bison isnt just retreating but actually tries to hit you. Also what happened to his slide… i used to punnish the hell out of that thing in vanilla… its gotten harder in super? or i just suck hehe. Dont get me started on his ex crusher… it crosses up (0__o). So bassicly bison is a no go for ibuki then?
Ques and Answer thread 6/21 UPDATE DONT MAKE ONE QUESTION TOPICS PLZ!!!
OK something people might not know. if bison is getting predictable after sk you can punish him every time. Forward lk beats a second sk, mk, and his lk frame trap. cr. Mk and sweep beats his hk. you just have to read your opponent a little bit
I’ve got a question, not particularly Ibuki specific but I’m sure I’ll get some good answers from yous nonetheless. Can you practice footsies against the CPU? Obviously a huge part of it is mindgames and you can’t practice that, but in terms of the technique and fundamentals can it be helpful?
I’ve recently been spending tons of time catching up on SC1/SC2, hence why I haven’t been plaguing (er, posting) much on SRK forums. But I came across this guide which about how to improve your SC1 game, but can apply to other games as well. http://www.teamliquid.net/staff/stet_tcl/How_to_Improve_by_Ver.pdf Go down to section XV: Improving as Terran guidelines.
If you reword into SF terms:
Pick a matchup and find 1 good, pro-proven strategy for that matchup.
Look at every video/replay available of a pro player playing that matchup properly.
Play that matchup over and over against the best possible competition.
Of course it goes more indepth than that, so you should give it a read.
