Ibuki Player Guide (book)

It’s not to do with pushback, the frame-advantage changes. It’s why you should stand to block Short Dankukyaku otherwise Dan’s pressure game is gdlk.

this message i recieved from a france guy after kunai vortex success
“casse toi fils de pute tu joues comme une merde” i just had to google-translate it :stuck_out_tongue:
i was like "train harder"
this motivates me to continue playing ibuki

Can someone here explain me how different it is to block crouching/standing? I have trouble understanding this :S

LOL @ the rage quit
This litterally means “GTFO son of a bitch, you play like shit”.

In a certain sense, I find it flattering to receive rage messages ^^

I get a bunch of F-You messages and “You have been removed from the lobby.” Doesn’t happen when I play Yang for some reason…

I remember a 10 000 BP Hakan player I raped thrice in a row in a lobby. He kicked me out and sent me a nice message
"GTFO, I hope you have fun playing a god tier character"

Ibuki, god tier?

What?
Block crouching = down back
Block standing = back

Does this answer your question?

No. You have more block-stun if you block crouching. I think it’s just 1-frame.

Does that mean stuff like Makoto’s EX Hayate becomes 1f easier to punish if you block it standing?

haha when I was playing Casuals earlier we all all talking about the El Fuerte player beating us, and talking about the character being annoying (not cheap 'cause we respect his amazing skill). Characters we played? Ibuki, C.Viper etc. lol. However while we the skill of the players, we all agree that none of us approve of Blanka players. We’re all hypocrites.

AFAIK frame-data assumes you’re standing. You could try to see if punishing EX Hayate is possible with her cr.Short if done blocking low.

Although I don’t think this system applies to every move, I only know it applies to Jaguar Kicks, Axe Kicks, and Dankukyaku.

What’s the point of going for cr.LK? Plink-ability? I figure only f+LK would work because Sako was using that to punish Haitani’s EX Hayate.

I also like how none of this discussion pertains to the Ibuki player guide book.

Blanka players are an insult to us. :stuck_out_tongue:
I like just trolling Blanka player, in the local arcade we have a huge Blanka/Ibuki war which is basically trash talking blanka players while they trash talk Ibukis. Endless war is endless.

So you always have more blockstun if you block crouchin? Seriously???

BTW, about rage messages, I always thought the guy sending this kind of messages must be very very angry. Do you just imagine loosing, raging (okay, I do that as well), opening the dashboard, getting to the player profile, send a message, take two minutes to write a 5-word message (Virtual keyboard + stick = lol) and send it. This basically means you are fraking out during more than two minutes, ie. you should just stop playing games.

<--------Goes to learn Blanka

I dunno about you, but I think most people have usb keyboards. I even have a wireless one so I can type lengthy messages when I rage.

Swear? I actually didn’t know this… Not that it makes a big difference, but thank you very much.

EDIT: Oh sorry I forgot to answer your question. I suggested Makoto’s cr.Short because it’s the only normal I know that punishes it which is exactly 4-frames.

thanks for the tips here in this thread!
could it be that the ibuki loop is not follow up connecting on cr. opponents? i mean j.mk/lk > cr. lp >cr. lp > st.mk >lk tsumuji (this 1 connects on cr opponents) but but follow up st.lp is blocked!

I think you’re talking about loop 8 in the chart.

Guys, I don’t think I can work on this any more over the Christmas period. It’s already taking away from my family and friends.

Then work on it later.

In 1914, Belgium around 100,000 soldiers of opposing forces had an unofficial truce on the 24th December. They put down their firearms and instead battled in a friendly, less violent game of football.

Christmas is a time for giving, and spending time with those we love. It is also a time for forgiveness. We all have enemies, for good reasons, and irrational reasons, but it is during this period that we should put all of our differences aside and enjoy each other’s company as fellow human beings.

Merry Christmas Ibuki forums.
Love,
Izzy.
