What happened was that it was finished on the 16th, but then I brought someone on board to do the graphics work so they could have experience. I got it back on the 24th to find that none of the graphics work was done. The actual release is on the 30th. No more delays.
Ibuki guide right on my birthday, you’re too kind.
One More Day Guys!
can’t wait for that new guide in a few hours!!!
specially for the frame traps and safe jump set-ups + kunai vortex
It will be up anywhere between 5:00PM GMT on the 30th to 5:00PM GMT the next day. I don’t know how long it will take for CrossCounter to upload the guide to their site.
any news on the guide?
First of all I would like to apologise for the lateness of the Rev.3 guide. Everything has been complete (book, promo video etc.) but I didn’t consider how much time it would take to create the page on the website for downloading. It’s being worked on this very second and you will not have to wait more than a week.

As part of routine, all my previously uploaded Critique videos outside of the Commentary Series have been deleted. So my old matches with Damascus, KawoXD, RedCaliburn, TheOnlyLite and EPG Kooky Ibuki are all gone. I’ll be gone from the 11th so if you wanted some Critique from me before I disappear now is the only time to get some done.
You’re all becoming better players, and when the guide comes out which should be this weekend by the latest, you can trust MingoDynasty to answer your questions about anything that’s in the guide. After all he’s the one who researched most of the content.
so are you retiring from Street Fighter or what?
Month long holiday with someone what does not like fighting games, what can I do? =P
is rev 3 guide up yet, cant seem to find it
Sorry it’s not up yet, the guide is done, but preparing it’s launch is taking some time. Shouldn’t be long now.
It’s my birthday tomorrow (on the 5th). I wish the guide is uploaded by then.
Damn, CC are taking their time aren’t they? I’ve been really impressed with these guides and have been looking forward to rev.3, as I haven’t played much SF4 recently and was going to use this to get me going again. It’s a shame that there have been so many delays and I’m sure it will be worth the wait.
I’m excited for the revision, but I know Izuna will get it out to us in time before he leaves for Japan. It’s an extremely helpful guide, really well-presented, and puts a lot of nice detail and artwork in his guides. It’s worth the wait. Also, a nice going-away present for the community before he goes on vacation.
Hopefully he’ll return and continue to be active in the community, whether he’s just posting out content from time to time, or if he’ll continue playing. It’s hard to be in Japan and to resist the siren’s call of Sanwa buttons/sticks clicking softly in the night air as he passes by the local arcades.
Dear Ibuki forums,
I have an update for you guys. Those of you who had early copies should download it again when it is released by CrossCounter, as has minor fixes and another proofreader on top. Now I’ve spoken to CrossCounter and what I didn’t realise is that it has to go through a lot of checks etc. so it may not be up for even another week or more. It’s no one’s fault, it’s just how things work.
Now I was given the option to remove the CrossCounter logo and upload it to get it out ASAP, but through careful thinking I realise that isn’t the best idea. So if you have anyone to blame for the delays blame me. Increasing awareness for the charity is top priority. I want you guys to please bare with me on this.
Damascus, go ahead and finish up the Safe Jump/Vortex thread, I don’t want you waiting 1-2 weeks. And don’t worry guys, the Rev.3 guide is future-proof as it links to MingoDynasty’s ever-updating spreadsheets.
Now, those who had early copies, feel free to tease everyone because it IS quite awesome isn’t it? =)
I have an early copy and I haven’t even bothered looking at it yet.
Out of curiosity, is there a specific reason why you want to put it out through CC?
Also, Izuna Theophilou, how did you manage to come up with that name? Unless it’s your REAL name…cuz that would be cool.
Probably to get more viewership.
