Ibuki AE Changes

loads up training mode

MK Tsumuji does the same amount of chip damage as HK Tsumuji. Should the sweep hit both allow a safe Vortex (negligible difference)

I think it’s a pretty small difference, I’d rather use the LK Tsumuji, but that’s just personal preference. Oh, they can reversal out of the sweep if they block the first 2 parts, got battered a long time ago 'cause I didn’t know that. Heh, if you notice that someone is trying to reversal the sweep, don’t to do third part (beautiful punish), which is why I tend to use the LLK Tsumuji.

Off-topic: There is NO WAY c.LP, c.MK is a 1-frame link… I don’t plink and I never drop it… ???

EDIT: forgot to mention, if you’re doing that cr.LP, cr.LP, c.LP, c.MK combo, you have PLENTLY of time to hit-confirm!

With F.MK (overhead?) I tend to go into three crouching jabs into crouching roundhouse.

I think F.MK, TC3 xx Special is most practical on crouching opponents.
F.MK, c.MP, c.MK xx Special is definitely the best choice if the overhead hits a standing opponent… but yeah

I use f mk cr lp s mk special or f mk cr lk lk hop kicks

I use the same as you after overhead.

Also guys, dunno if use have discussed this yet but will her new tc juggle like it will in 3s? if so that’d mean she could set up some interesting CD stuff. Hopefully it will be able to juggle into air TC?

After f+mk I like to use st mp x st mk x combo ender. It does significantly more dmg than other combos and is not hard to do either.

If I am farther away then I’ll use f+mk x st lk x st mk ultra 2 for about 400 dmg which is not bad dmg and easy to do as well.

If I get back into street fighter when AE comes out, then I’ll say my piece about the three tsumijis and the different mixups that follow best.

This doesn’t connect on what I think is the majority of characters in the game when they crouch, including Ryu. Overhead shouldn’t hit when they’re standing… ever.

Aww is that so? Sigh see what happens when I don’t play for three months. I know that st mp hits crouching opponents but I guess I forgot that when you hit them with the move they don’t get hit by it.

Will the quicker start up of S.MK help or hurt SJC into Ultra? And do you think this change will affect S.MK into Tsumuji? Against most players it doesn’t matter but every now and then I run into someone who really knows the match up and DP’s me between that very brief moment from S.MK to Tsumuji.

Oh and also maybe the nerfs to Kunai and NB are on account of the Hitbox adjustments were all hoping for. Perhaps this is their way of balancing everything out and TC4 will no longer whiff…Just wishful thinking

I don’t see why making it have shorter startup would affect anything that comes after it, unless they changed some other properties.

What?
This should be impossible given that it’s a combo. They using LK Tsumuji?

I’m sure he’s talking about when its blocked. I know s.mk x mk/hk tsumuji isn’t a true block string and can be dp’ed, not sure about lk though.

On block, lk tsumuji is the only true blockstring. Mk and hk can be dp’d :frowning:

MK should always be part of a hit-confirm, =)

F+lk lk tsumuji can be reversaled
It’s happened to me more than once
However it hasn’t happened to me with s.mk

This should depend on the spacing. If it’s a combo, it can’t be reversal-ed.

Ya I was talking about on block. I think I have been dp’d out of LK Tsumuji too (on block) are you sure it’s a true block string?

^^^you should atleast check things in training mode. F+lk xx lk tsumuji is reversable distance doesn’t matter there is not enough blockstun to make it a true blockstring.

St.mk,cr.mp, are true blockstrings when canceling into lk or ex

Never mind, ya your right, now that I think about it, it was TC4 into LK Tsumuji that I was being punished for.

Wait… we’re talking about the overhead?
Ah, that makes sense.

EDIT: sorry! I forgot about that move so I assumed horribly wrong.

… sigh my bad… i was talking to izuna actually.

@ izuna.

no, we were talking about F+lk xx tsumuji. on block it cant be canceled into any tsumuji safely, there is always a reversable hole in it.

anywho this is off topic so continue to discuss this in GD or s&m.
