She-Hulk works pretty well with Thor, they compliment each other well. The only problem they have is that, if used as a pair, Thor can’t SSS Tornado as well since She-Hulk would have trouble landing the Emerald Cannon off the DHC. But it’s not that big a problem. Mighty Punish DHC Taking out the Trash (and vice versa) is fun times.
Actually, from just she hulk if you time it right (because she pops people so high) you can do
OTG Shehulk
UP strike, Over strike, Down Forward strike xx air super (if you want to use 3 meters) mighty smash + M xx super xx emerald cannon.
Im unsure of the damage but it does work.
Also she hulk works great on this team for a variety of reasons and yeah run cancels take some getting used to. I just started playing it to round out my thor team list… I play

Thor, Dorm, Wesker -> less damage then with doom but you could i guess use purification for the double Strike combos to even it out I prefer dark hole though.

I dont like She-hulk as a Thor partner, we know Thor suffers out of heavy zoning, Thor needs a partner that can overcome that weakness given the situation.

Meh, Thor is only bad against certain kinds of active zoning and she hulk has the normals to get past that, also missiles helps alot in that area. Its not perfect but the team is def viable.
I dont’ know if there is one team in the game that perfectly covers Thor’s weakness’ and still works super well as a cohesive team
Thor/Dorm/Doom is kinda good with just thor up front to build meter/be a punching bag
Thor/Dorm/Ammy is probably the better version as the lockdown is better and anchor ammy is better than anchor doom.
Thor/Doom/Ammy is probably even better as it gives you much more damage than then the above and gives doom a really nice assist Id play this if I didn’t hate playing ammy
Thor/Dorm/Wesker functions similarly but has to have a much stronger dorm to be truly effecting as wesker only offers dorm easier combo extensions, but you get a stronger anchor
Thor Dorm Doom and Thor Strange Ammy are Thor best teams until someone show me a better team.
Why Thor, Strange, Ammy over Thor,Doom,Ammy?
I don’t see how strange is in anyway better on the team or a solo character than doom.
- bolts is a double beam assist that is not a blockstring, means Thor can make use of his command grab
- bolts extend Thor combos, plasma beam doesnt allow it
- Strange DHC options >>> Doom DHC options, Mighty Punish into Raggador or Vishanti is fullscreen punish
- crossover counter into raggador is 100% invincible
- mighty tornado then spell of vishanti (kills one character in the corner) then TK EOA, hard tag, then TK mighty hurricane guard breaks on incoming characters
- strange x ammy is as scary if not much more scary than doom x ammy
- strange is a meter user, doom is more like a battery with an outstanding Lv3 hyper. Thor loves meter users
- Dorm/Doom has more synergy than Doom/Ammy so better play the black mages in the same team, and the white mages (Strange, Ammy) in another lol
1.meh, bolts is okay but with the way up back works you wonrt get that setup much
2. didnt say beam… doom missiles helps cover lots of holes in thors zoning game and is a better combo extender leads to more damage.
3. that dhc is nice but its not safe, thor gets mighty punish into finger lasers while not 100% safe gives you more ways to get thor out with some life, also sphere flame is = to books in relation to dhcs for damage
4.its invincible but only good against projectiles… cool if you are being chipped out, like against deadpool, but less good against other tough matchups
5.those gurad breaks are probably pretty cool, thor+ doom missiles is a kill on most of the cast with no dhc.
7. doom loves meter too. cant punis like with spell but finger lasers tack lots on, on the end of combos and help in zoning, also if you have more metr than anchor ammy is more viable, also doom + ammy thc is free get in with mixups.
8. doom ammy has prolly equal synergy too dorm doom imo
- Raggador actually does have invincibility frames before it activates (pre-freeze), just like Task’s counter and how Wesker’s counter used to work.
Oh yeah i realize that, i meant it only does anything else against projectiles. Not sure about how recovery compares to tasky or wesker counters
well Thor Doom (missiles) Ammy (coldstar) actually sounds good because you can go from missiles lockdown to ammy lockdown. Do you have experience with that team against other good players or teams mr MetalRoss? I think this team can suffer against Hawkeye and morridoom more than Thor + Plasma beam + Coldstar though.
My point about raggador was that if you have 2 bars and Thor is being chipped to dead you can activate the bolts of balthakk crossover counter (forward + assist) then raggador the moment Strange touch the ground and you will be 100% invincible, this tactic counters stuff like Ryu and Deadpool “beam” hypers for example. Doom wont save Thor in that situation…
I don’t cause I never really tried ammy. But I agree with the use of ragas or for that purpose def nice in situations like that!
Yeah I think missiles or plasma works against Morridoom. Plasma is a bit nicer cause of the beam + beam killing missiles and fireballs, though both suck if Astra vision is on!
Maybe I’ll learn Thor Doom Ammy. Doom Ammy teams already have great success, like marlinpie clock or even honzo

I’ll just look into any Thor team that has true potential…except Thor/Strange/Ammy, Serpent has that covered and I don’t want to touch Strange.
haha. On a side note, OMG Thor Dorm Doom is so f****** amazing. Missiles combines with every dark spell like if there were meant to be together, every DHC from Thor to Dorm is TOD and has spells follow ups. I’m in love with this team.
Yeah, it’s hard to go back to any other team after you have such damn easy DHC’s with Thor/Dorm. But I think we need to start documenting our match experiences with TDD.

but almost always go for the regular: j.mighty hurricane, s.H, smash M, cr.H, s.S, superjump forward, j.MMH S, land, call missiles + regular jump forward, land, (missiles OTG), cr.H, smash L, dash forward, (missiles OTG), charged strike H, charged strike L, spark M/H (The spark H connects if the missiles got the character high enough, the strike L will only use two hits), mighty tornado, dhc stalking flare BEFORE MIGHTY TORNADO CONCLUDES (this is important), powe of the powe of the destructor, meteor shower, call mighty spark M assist + flame carpet. +1100k again. easy execution TOD combos always pay off in marvel.
- I usually call missiles then strike M other characters and earn some time if its safe. then superjump + tridash pressure into j.L, cr.L and command grabs. Thor can cover Doom with his body, sparks L, or mighty strikes pokes. Thor can REALLY protect Doom better than the most of characters. Stupid stuff like Cap hyper charging star and Viper EX punch in your face that travel the screen has to deal with Mighty Punish. Missiles combo breaks are a god sent. Im beating for free Wolvie Wesker Akuma teams with TDD
Oh and this Dorm x missiles combo is BEAUTIFUL.
