It’s a small combo video involving resets with Spencer’s upward Slant Shot assist that EvuL Soldier posted above:

I personally like it because I use the same assist.

Hopefully yours gets some good press come tomorrow morning. That shit needs to get out there and restore people’s faith in the Darkstalkers.

Oh yeah! I remember that video now, My friend Eric showed that to me when I was workin on mine, It made me really happy, and refilled my hype meter during my arduous time in the Adobe Pixel’s mines, cause there were many times I wanted to flip a table and call it a day on the video, cause there were sooooooo much work to do to finish it and so many complications, Premiere is so unforgiving, it doesn’t care about your feelings at all lmao!

Hsien_Jo:

The combos can be different depending on the opponents body size and hit box as well as how fast they fall.
The first combo you mentioned, that one works best if you stop you upward moment as soon as possible, the same is said for the ground L. ground gong, and even after that you have to time a slight foward walk to your next hit. Sometimes if you put in the right assist it helps.

Also you have to modify the ground juggle to work, you don’t have to always hit d. H do whatever works on the character to get them back up in the air. Some chacters I don’t even bother with special, I try to go for standing heavy then down heavy then launch or snap back. Just take the basis that you saw in the video and “Make It” work for you. Practice makes perfect.

The BnB with the snap back is easier than the first one in my opinion you just have to watch out for what I call “Early Birds” Like Dante, Weskter, I think Magneto and a few others where after you:
J. B, L Gong, J. A, J.C you have to cancel to L. Gong on the first hit usually for the L Gong to hit.

I didn’t try the walking forward part. I’ll give it a try again. Also, congrats for getting your video on the frontpage of SRK!

Weird enough, I think I’m using the same team as you use now. Spencer, Hsien-Ko, and Taskmaster? Replaced Arthur with Tasky since I feel that he gives too much restrictions for me to enjoy the whole team. I might make a new video with a whole team combo since I’m really liking that team, plus I left out some Hsien-Ko stuffs that I didn’t know of until after I finished my combo/reset video.

That is indeed the team. It’s pretty solid, as far as I’m concerned. Taskmaster doesn’t seem like he’s getting nerfed too badly (less damage from arrows, hyper tweaks, but can cancel Web Swing now), more like reworked. No idea about Spencer because the notes people’ve taken are unclear. And I want to try out Nemesis still. Hell, maybe even Raccoon if he helps out Ko. Probably just going to take a little break though until Ultimate comes out. I need to brush up on and learn Vampire Savior Lei Lei, and that Halloween update in TF2 is right around the corner, you know…

So far the combo @ 1:06 is the most practical and not at all hard to do. The combo @ 1:42 is pretty hard to pull off and doesn’t seem to work on certain characters like doom. Besides the tips Hsien-jo gave, I can’t get the walk forward bit as usually characters hit by the ground L gong go into ground recovery if I don’t immediately catch them with st.M. Did you also say the snapback combo at 4:26 can also relaunch?

Yeah my bad, I didn’t see the alert last time I came here, yeah you can relaunch easier with that snap back combo and its more powerful than the one I did early on on magneto. Btw ima call the first one Combo A and the other one combo B. You have to try both of the combos on the whole cast to see which variation works the best. For some ppl the mag one is super easy like I never have problems with it on the large characters or average size characters, or oddly enough people like X-23 and Spiderman.

For combo A on alot of people the walk up is very important and the walk up is so short you almost don’t see it (its sad we gotta try so fuckin hard), but if anything work on getting your timing on that tight as fuck, like you barely want to get much air time at all when you put the first gong to stop your jump. Some people, it either just wont work on or its hella hard, like it doesn’t work right on the Darkstalkers at all :U.

For Combo B, its much easier in my eyes, its the one I’m making my BNB, you start it the same way, make sure your early timing is tight as possible and on the way down just hit the person with the usual, j.A, j.C, when j.A Gong before you touch the ground, then j. C on the way down. Once again you have to experiment with the cast :U, cause some you can get all 3 hits of your jumping C before your second Jump A gong off, but others (I call them Early Birds) because of their hitbox you can only get the first hit of Jump C before you A Gong, any more hits and it will whiff.

Like Try the combo with the snap back on wolverine, then try it out on Dante and you will see what I mean.

Heres one that works all the time you can try that combines the combo at 1:06 and the snap back relaunch its usually around 386
cr.:l:, , cr., cr.:h:, :s:, j., j.:rdp::l:, j.:l:, j.:h: (1 to 3 hits depending on the character), j.:rdp::l:, j.:h:, land, j., j., j.:s:, OTG

Relaunch from Snap Back combo if you get all the hits you can get around 425~432 before super
cr.:l:, , cr., cr.:h:, :s:, j., j.:rdp::l:, j.:l:, j.:h: (1 to 3 hits depending on the character), j.:rdp::l:, j.:h:, land, walk up as far as you can before they tech (you have more time to do this compared to Combo A), and , :h: cr.:h:, :s:, j., j., j.:s:

For some characters it works better if you skip the standing all together after the land, and go for a walk up standing :h:, cr.:h:, :s: then stuff. Try it out and see what works best for you.

Random Idea I came up with for Ultimate. Many of us will come up with our own Hsien-ko combos or strats that will work for our teams, what would you guys say to doing a Hsien-ko collab video to up the hype. I’m thinkin have it more geared toward each persons Hsien-ko team combos (assists, DHC, Exchange) for the people that are interested? I tried to do this with the May forums in dustloop.com a while’s back, but my hand literally exploded around the final parts of its production so I missed out on the end product.
It would also help promote for others that might have their own video they want to make, id be fun. It can be as over the top, or as practical as we want it, its all about boosting that morale. But just tossin around ideas, I need projects to keep me active, or I will become a slug :/.

I’m 100% up for it, I plan to get a capture card soon so I will be able to contribute more come Ultimate. It will be nice to do something more beneficial with my time other than spam refreshing SRK or screwing around in training mode lol.

Weirdness aside, she’s a Jiang Shi, which you can most accurately describe as Chinese myth’s version of the vampire. Though she obviously doesn’t act a whole lot like the mythical/movieones.

Huh, I remember it being that her sister was being hit on by a bunch of drunk guys they saved from spider-demon things, Lei Lei jumps in to save the day again, and then her sister says something about her needing the rest a lady deserves and something about monsters while Lei Lei looks kind of sad and insulted and says “…Monsters?”

Lin Lin is kind of a dick to her sister sometimes. Just look at Hsien-Ko’s ending! Though I’m sure they get along just fine. They kind of have to, and they’re sisters. Mei-Ling’s just the aloof one.

I remember what u mean about LinLin, but it was just their sisterly relationship, I like how they pegged Hsien-ko as the about Action Tomboy, I felt that personality suited her. Nice video. First time I’ve seen Hulk resets. Speaking of Hulk, it seems that a lot of Hulks like to pair up with Hsien-Ko, including Airtola.
