I never understood why any Mk games arent at evo

I never understood why any Mk games aren’t at evo. Do people just not like these games or something? I love UMK3 it was so fun.

Why isn’t fucking Tetris Attack at EVO?

Checkers?

Connect Four?

Tic Tac Toe?

Hopscotch?

Tiddly winks?

EVO doesn’t = the entire rest of the fighting community.

:\

I think mostly, cause MK sucks.

MK:D should be at evo for everyone who’s stoned. That’s an amazing game when you’re high.

Tetris Attack where do I sign up , would be fun to have something like that in the console room. Later.

Jaime

Naruto:GNT3 for EVO

I understand 4, but UMK3 has enought gameplay to be considered.

Mortal Kombat in general is gay, lame, and fucking broken.

MvC2 and CvS2 are broken and people still play them, hell people are still playing tekken 4 and that game sucks ass.

Oh yeah. I’ll bring connect four to evo next year. Who’s in?

Edit: I’m serious.

There is no strong competitive scene in America giving UMK3 a tournament following. It has to have this first to be considered for evo, or else we would be having Budokai 3 and Rumble Roses this year.

UMK3 is the most broken MK of them all, that games so fuckin bullshit. after playing for like 20 minutes (we found the old snes cartrige under some shit) we threw that game out the fuckin window.
naruto:NH2 tournament at evo!!!
ps. tidly winks is for pussies, real men play hopscotch!

mortal combat isnt really a good fighter game as far as depth goes…i mean fatalities are kinda lame!!! when i was a kid it was pretty cool but now once you seen it once then thats it in my opinion…would be cool if they did mortal combat 2d sprite style or added level 3 supermoves or something. but im wondering why havent they added snk king of fighters to the line up at evo…king of fighters has cool rosters of fighters.

I believe depth is in the eye of the beholder. I can say game A is less deep than game B cuz of the simple fact that I like Game B more than Game A. Also, why would you bring up depth and then point to fatalities? It has nothing to do with the gameplay during the actual battle. It only comes into play after the round is over. Moreover, I don’t even think people who play high level UMK3 even care about them.

Im hoping that your not saying kof should be in EVO cuz it has “cool fighters”? Thats shouldn’t really matter, what should is the gameplay, player base, and competition the game cultivates. Many people believe that the problem lies with kof players who care more about the coolness of the characters rather than the gameplay itself. They would rather see Athena’s new costume than see the changes in the system and learning more about what the game can offer on the competitive side.

mk…the last cool mk was 3 in my opinion…anyways king of fighters has alot of skill behind it and once you master it you will fill like you accomplished more out of it than mk. mk revolves around bloodshed and fatalites anyone can tell you that. mk deception is in my opinion stiff. i thought xbox and ps2 would have the technology to make it more smoother than it is. king of fighters does have dated looking graphics but it is still a competitive game. i guess they might should consider letting mk be at evo but then they would have to consider other games like tobal no1,gundam battle, bushido blade, and super smash brother melee

UMK3 and MK2 are the best of the entire series, and UMK gets played at a surprisingly high level. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

i guess umk3 aint all that cause its not at evo!!! with their cookie cutter combos!!

That’s MvC2 you’re thinking about. :pleased:

UMK3 is regarded as the most tournament worthy game, Its being played at NEC this Saturday. MK doesn’t revolve around bloodshed and fatalities. I admit that they are in the game and do draw more people to it but at high level play I doubt players would be paying attention to the blood and the fatalities. They would be more focused on the battle at hand no worrying about imputting fatalities at the end of the round.

There’s blood and in someways fatalites in GGXX. Any person not familiar with that game can say the same thing you said about GGXX. But the same thing goes for that game. People aren’t paying attention to the blood, they are focused on the battle.

Your last sentence doesn’t hold water, Does tobal 1 have a scene? What about bushido blade? Are there tournaments for those at all? Hypothetically speaking, if the Cannons DID put mk in evo It wouldn’t be because its a fighting game. The reason would most likely be because

  1. It has tournaments in the U.S.
  2. It has a player base
  3. A decent COMPETITIVE player base(2 and 3 are different)
4 A competitive player base that travels(so they could go to EVO of course)
?5. A console version deemed acceptable by the umk3 community.

All of the pieces of the puzzle must fit. Just to let people know, I cant read the Cannons mind’s. Im just guessing at what their terms are.

Edit: Have you even seen UMK3 match vids. There are pretty amazing. I couldn’t believe mk could be played like that. Maybe you should take a look before jumping to conclusions like…

to be honest i didnt think umk3 was played competition wise…i can see how it could but i didnt think it was…im only 20 years old when umk3 came out i was like 10 or so…i didnt start playing games competition wise till like tekken 3 hit the streets.
