Right now I’m currently running Deadpool/Iron Man/Dr. Doom. The main problem I’m currently running into is that I need to practice more, but I’m also currently looking at my assists. Right now I’m using Katanarama assist for Pool/ Unibeam for Iron Man/ Missiles for Doom. I’m using unibeam to keep enemies away and missiles to open up opportunities for Pool/Iron Man to get combos in.
Is my theory sound or should I change some assists? Also, is the Pool/Iron/Doom order good or should I put someone else on point/anchor? I know a good Doom can make a good anchor, but I’m just looking for other opinions atm. I kind of like having Deadpool and Iron Man near each other because they can DHC into each other fairly easily and effectively, where as Doom’s harder to DHC into effectively.
My team is Deadpool, Ryu, and Sentinel. I’m trying to figure out a few things at this point, but I’m trying to get them to blend together. I’m thinking about using Sentinel’s rocket punch assist to help me otg, instead of the sentinel force (charge). should i switch it?
Trish/???/Deadpool is my current team right now. I have the question marks for the second character because I have a lot of characters I can put in that slot (Storm/Sentinel/Wolverine/Chun/Viewtiful Joe). I use Peekaboo for Trish, and Katana Rama for Deadpool, since I needed an OTG assist for my first two characters.
Actually, I think one team that’s really good for Deadpool in terms of DHC is Deadpool/Tron/Sentinel{My team}.
Sentinels ball of evil super can easily be DHC’d into lunch time or trigger happy fairly easily if it’s in the corner and Deadpool’s trigger happy does hit the opponent while the servbots are attacking the enemy during lunchtime. Just make sure that the servbots hit the opponent first before going into trigger happy or else trigger happy will lift up the opponent and ensure that the servbots don’t hit them and do damage. The same rule applies to Sentinel force but if you’re close enough it’s simply better to use the evil ball of doom rather than Sentinel force.
You can also DHC lunch time and trigger happy from Sentinel force. Same goes with Deadpool’s trigger happy, though in Deadpool’s case you should time it right to make sure you get the best out of your trigger happy before letting out the other supers.
My team is Deadpool (Quick Work), Dante (Veasel shot), Morrigan (meter whore).
Sometimes i switch assists for Trigger Happy and Jam Session if i need anti-airs…
The Morrigan assist is great to play keepaway, it kinds of force the opponent to rushdown me or i can keepaway + hypers to no end.
Veasel shot works well with teleport shenningans and OTG stuff.
I can DHC deadpool and dante guns into each other, and into morrigan’s Shadow Servant, or missile shower if i’m close in the corner. I usually don’t use DHC trick on cutting time, but both morrigan and dante are able to.
All 3 characters can play keepaway or some rushdown, and if morrigan is not caught assisting, i have a lot of meter to DHC back and forth
The 4 characters i like the most in the game are those 3, and Phoenix. So far, i’m having fun
This team is very versatile. Can do teleport mixups or safe approaches with both assists, can zone with both assists. I actually prefer Rocks for keepaway, but thats just me. The team can also DHC Glitch with Deadpool and Taskmaster.
That team sounds pretty legit to me, but the way I see it, Doom’s Rocks and Taskmasters Horizontal Shot cover the same purpose (horizontal non-juggling, average speed projectile). I feel like Doom’s missiles would fill in a hole that the others wouldnt. I use Deadpool / Modok / Doom and I can NOT get enough of the hidden missiles!
Yeah, i see your point in the missiles, but for me, my Doom gets blown up every time I call him out for missiles. I also like that the rocks can be an OK anti air in some situations. Although if i’m playing a teleporter (specifically Dante), ill use missiles.
Shuma assist is unbelievable for Deadpool lets you keep away all day. Get in corner than qcb+H or teleport out.
Hulk supposedly can DHC glitch out but i dont really get it (deadpool does cutting time then on fourth hit you do gamma quake) but even so cutting time dhc’s into gamma crush super easy for about 860k two meter bnb. backwards hulk can get a 970+ easy combo using deadpool otg assist
anywasi i decided to try and creat a team that can keep away so i can learn other characters and players rushdown talents well and i though about going deadpool/task/shuma assist
I use Deadpool/Iron Man/Sentinel in that order for my team and have been looking for an assist combination that would work. Your number two example sounds like it would work great. Thanks a lot!
Hi I was wondering if Deadpool and Wolverine have a good team synergy. Also which one to have on point, and which assists work well together with these 2 characters on the same team.
Pretty much the same as mine but changed Shuma for Task. Though I admit Shuma sounds really good on this team, I need to try him out when I get a chance.
I rotate Pool and Hulk on point depending on the matchup, but they have GREAT synergy. Gamma Wave adds another pushback projectile for zoning, and also OTG (though not needed for Pool, helps Task). I’ll use Anti Air Gamma Charge too sometimes, keeps people off Pool. Any of the three arrows are nice, but I like to use horizontal to help sneak in teleports.
The DHC potential is amazing with these three. Pretty much in any combo from one, you can DHC to the other two anywhere on the screen for big damage. Cutting Time into Gamma Crush is usually enough to take out any character that you’ve hit with a few bullets while zoning. Any touch from Hulk becomes a character kill way too easily.
um…you could have deadpool on point and have the ability to DHC glitch with wolverine.
wolverine on point with maybe deadpool’s otg or his quick work assist.
what assist works best?..well, there is always sentinel charge drones…xD. i say any assist that goes across the screen and allows wolverine to do his 50/50, but also helps deadpool to zone and create teleport mixups.
I was wondering if deadpool would beable to combo from Wolverines assist Berserker Slash when used in a corner it wall bounces and perhaps deadpool could quick work into it leading into a combo.

I used to run** Thor (Mighty smash)/ Dorm (Dark hole)/ Doom (Missles) **but now that I’ve started to play against people at a higher level Thor just doesn’t cut it
any thoughts or suggestions on my deadpool team in terms of order and assists?

you can do DHC really well into level 1s
Dantes level 3 can be comboed from both Deadpools Hypers and Ryus
Ryus level 3 can be comboed from Deadpools cuttin’ time, cause Dantes Million Dollars pushes away
but i play mostly this team because Ryu is one of my favorite fighting game chars, Deadpool is my favorite Marvel character and Dante is one of my favorite characters of all time

Deadpool and MODOK seem to be best friends. Balloon Bomb helps in zoning, combos, and lets Deadpool combo off of his throw without Katanarama or supers.
