Yeah I definitely wanna try it because I know how much better Doom would be than Wesker on this team, especially with Beam or Missiles. Sadly since the first air-dashing character I played was Iron-Man, I’m a little hesitant to play characters like that. But because I like Deadpool/Strider so much I’ll definitely try.
Well from having played both of the orders you suggested of the team, Dante is decent as a lead but leading with Deadpool is tons better. Dante doesn’t get a ton out of any of Deadpool’s assists and Deadpool gets tons more work out of Dante’s assists. Snighter21 has a good example of a really good Deadpool lead. Not to mention he shows how effective Deadpool/Dante synergy works.

I’ve been considering a Ghost Rider (? assist)/Deadpool (Happy Trigger)/ Akuma (Tatsu) team lately. I like GR and Deadpool’s keepaway game and I think Happy Trigger would be a good anti-air assist to cover the vertical space that GR can’t really get to. Tatsu would be a good get off assist for GR and lockdown for Deadpool. GR is a great battery to build meter for Deadpool and Akuma.
I wasn’t too sure if Quick Work would be a better assist to use since it could create unblockables with GR’s j.S/Chain of Rebuttal, or if I should use Happy Trigger to help fill the screen to play a zoning game against my opponent. Any thoughts on if I should make any adjustments to the team or advice to use on how to use the team in general?
A friend of mine is learning the game. He likes Deadpool. but his initial team was Deadpool Logan and Chun in that order. so I took it upon myself to give him a hand.
deadpool (quick or katana) Sentinel (dronez) Trish ( peekaboo)
I am iffy on Trish though. I think he can learn some stuff with her.
Deadpool has easy confirm of Trigger happy xx happy happy. and Sentinel I feel is a good character to learn marvel with. But I’m wondering if I should have Trish there or perhaps Wesker as he’s just starting. What say you guys?
he also likes Iron Man, so Unibeam is good… but it comes with Tony
I’d suggest Wesker. Good character to learn the basics and can also extend throw and overhead combos for the damage of a full BnB. Plus, he can do the capture glitch with Wesker instead of x23.

I wanted to get back into this game again. Got bored of losing with Tron so I’m going to try out Taskmaster/Deadpool/Skrull. Dunno what to use for the assists though, right now I’ve got Deadpool on Katanarama and Skrull on Orbital Grudge but I’m pretty open to advise. Any suggestions?
I’ve been playing Deadpool/Haggar/Doom lately. Switching between Missiles and Beam lets me do different things with both other characters, who I alternate on point (lately more DP). But DP with a Doom assist and Lariat feels great. Just when your opponent thinks they’ve gotten around your zoning, a Haggar assist comes out and fucks everything up. DHC with Cuttin’ Time into Haggar Press (and Sphere Flame if necessary) works well. Lariat extends combos by saving your ground bounce the first time you Katanarama. Point Haggar with DP second synergy is amazing. I feel like this team just works really well against teams that don’t have a really heavy focus on zoning. And even then, DP with Doom assist can manage most of the time.
I started playing Dormammu/Thor/Deadpool lately and it feels like a bootleg MastaCJ team but it works. Thormammu is a ridiculous combo in itself and Deadpool in back keeps everything nuts. My point and anchor are also interchangeable without losing synergy.
Camp back using Dante jam session to keep your opponent walled out. Getting in isn’t necessarily what Deadpool needs to do, especially when he has a great zoning assist to use, such as jam session. Jump up and do falling j.QCF+M at the apex of your jump. Call jam session and chuck some grenades. Every once in a while, call your disruptor assist and dash in using it as cover and try to land a hit and go for a big damage combo. Even though Deadpool isn’t quite the best at getting that hit you need, when he does get the hit, his more advanced combos make it hurt like a bitch.
I mean worst case, call disruptor to keep them in blockstun and use guns to teleport. I wouldn’t recommend this, as I honestly feel teleports should be used moreso in combos than as an approach option. But I’d recommend refraining from using guns to teleport unless you REALLY are having trouble getting in.
If Deadpool is to be put in second and can only have 1 anchor assist would you choose? The way I see it, Deadpool would need to rush in a bit but cautiously to pick up the pace that your Point couldn’t do. I prefer a beam assist since it can be used for a variety of situations, but the downside is it comes with a decent anchor(Doom/ IM). I’d put Akuma/Tatsu in their as well, but my confidence in Akuma is lacking, his health just isn’t doing it enough for me. If it helps, I’m putting Spencer upfront.
Just curious, have you guys ever discussed the THC of Bionic arm and HHT? This’ll allow at least 3 or 2 mixups from spencer that can really be beneficial.
obviously doom is better than ironman BUT i do use ironman as anchor alot and trust me it works wonders. its not as brainless as doom but he can do some serious damage. his beam is better IMO. his jump loop can kill u (mmhs x5) or his flight H dash loop. he’s great with xf3 and even when its finished its fine. unlike strider for example, once xf runs out its pretty much bleh…
hey people just getting back into marvel after a long stint on SF and wanting to run a new team
anybody got any ideas if Firebrand/Dpool/Ammy would be a decent setup? or do FBrand/DPool have no synergy? havent been in the lab yet but i just wanted some ideas prior to my team, i want to make something different work?
