I need help! And a pony! The Deadpool Team Thread!

Hey I was looking for a team that enabled Deadpool a reset, I have little time to spend in the lab last night and tried the Ammy reset.I had trouble getting the assist out after Chimichangas,however if I called Ammy before I did K-Rama she would come out no prob. My question is are you suppose to A2 before or after the OTG>Changas?

Deadpool has fairly good solo resets as long as you have a teleport.
1.c.LMHS, sj.MMHS, DP+HxxH, QCF+HxxH, QCF+L > Teleport, Air Grab, DP+HxxH, QCF+HxxH, QCB+H, dash, S, sj.HS, (delay) j.QCF+AA
Won’t work on ALL locations in the screen, but the general premise is that if you can land a bolo you can get a guns to teleport reset.

you call ammy after the chimichangas, I double tap my assist button and ammy comes out every time.

Tbh rei-chan’s team is super standard. Point character with a beam assist and combo extension assist. His team has no mixup/reset potential. Deadpool is not a touch of death character such as Wesker, zero, dormammu or wolverine so he needs reset potential to compensate. Deadpool does a good amount of damage but without the ability to reset you’re gonna be leaving you opponents characters with 10% health at the end of your combo and leaving them full screen instead of killing them. Deadpool needs the funky reset Ammy gives him to make him a major threat or else your opponent can and will tag out their character. Also the way this game seems to be going is that there are three different types of characters: touch of death (dormammu, c.viper, zero), one reset to death (deadpool, super skrull, Wesker, nemesis) and the characters that overlap (spencer, magneto, Nova). So we have to play to Deadpool’s strengths and provide that one ambiguous reset so that he can be used optimally, rei chan’s team does nothing of the sort. If you’re gonna run a beam assist Dr doom beam really good for deadpool as well but to be honest his best beam assist is magneto’s due to the fact it’s a quick flash which makes your opponent guess twice at the same (teleport direction And the high/low you get for being so close) and masks Deadpool’s teleport extremely well. I’ve been testing deadpool with magneto assist and it is definitely better than dooms in terms of scaling and speed.

TL;DR
Deadpool’s best friend is Amaterasu
If you wanna run a beam assist with deadpool, magneto assist is best for him
If you aren’t playing Deadpool/Dr doom (hidden missiles/plasma beam)/Amaterasu (cold star) or Deadpool/magneto(disturtor)/Amaterasu you are Doing it wrong, seriously wrong.

All good points, but there is some MAJOR synergy between Deadpool and Strider (Vajra)

I get a TON of mileage out of upguns + vajra and or upguns + tp + vajra.The level of mixups that come from Vajra is very strong. The resets that can be created off of this combination are also very strong.

Pineapple Surprise - Call Vajra - Teleport - Overhead or low depending on your opponent

Magneto is the best assist for any teleporting character. The beam is too fast to react to in MANY instances. I friggin’ hate it. I use Hawkeye, because he gets good mileage out of random Vajra hits and uses Quick Work very effectively.

I am playing Deadpool/Hawkeye/Strider and I believe it’s a very strong deadpool team.

Deadpool/Vergil/Strider
Deadpool/Dante/Strider

Also very solid combinations.

My primary issue is getting that TOD. While it is difficult with Deadpool, my standard BNB does 725-750K. If I could kill off the 900K characters with a DHC, then I’d have much more success with this team. I’ve thought about trading Hawkeye for Vergil/Dante on this team strictly for the DHC.

I’m going to try out those teams, I do like Deadpool with missles so I might be running doom instead of Mags.My previous team was Dp(a)/Tasky(a)/Doom(b)

I still like my team of Deadpool(Quickwork)/ Iron Man (Unibeam) and Doom (Missiles). Don’t underestimate what having both these assists can do for Deadpool.

Ammy assist still help deadpool so I don’t know what you’re talking about. She is the basis of the reset I came up with, I’m tellIg you swap out one of your guys for Ammy and try the reset for yourself. You can thank me later :slight_smile:

I’m trying Deadpool/Iron Man/Ammy as we speak, lol.

I’m Getting giddy watching a guy in Montreal play Deadpool/Rocket Racoon/Ammy hoping he uses my reset but I don’t think he know about it :blush:

I’ve been looking for a middle character for my Deadpool/X/Ammy team. Was playing around with characters for beam assist and I think I’m set on Taskmaster for the middle. His DHC does good damage, arrows are durable and good for teleports, and he works well with ammy as far as i know. Sword Master/Cold Star unblockables.

Lately I have had a lot of fun with Deadpool(a), Dante(a), Doom(B). Deadpool and Dante both are amazing with missiles. Also quick work helps setup unblockables and extends Dante combos. Also that DHC synergy with Dante and Deadpool. Fun team.

Discussion of “the most optimal team” with Deadpool has been pretty heavy.

IMO, Doom MIssiles is beginning to look like a must for competitive Deadpool play.

[]Deadpool can get a nasty 2 meter combo for around 800k with a double HHT after a missile OTG. The combo does +1 million if you start it with cr.M. Doom gives him the option to tack on considerable damage.

]Doom covers the plethora of teleporting characters that can mess up Deadpool’s zoning, and also synergizes with Deadpool’s bounce-zoning. Definitely takes the random super factor out of the match.
[]If Doom is 2nd, his TAC combos equate to a 100%, but Deadpool can also tech trap with his bolos, essentially giving you a “1/3:1/2” mix-up (or something like that, someone more asian than me can do the math).

Now with that being said, the 3rd character is definitely one of choice. There is no “best character” because there are so many factors you have to consider. This is where playstyle determines your team more than opinionated “optimization”. Here are examples of the roles you can fill in:

]What make this team composition so dangerous is that it creates an insurance against an opponent’s aggressive X-Factor tactics, since blowing it early will create a good opportunity for your anchor to win the game. Personally, I’m not so much for combo extension assists. Doom already adds plenty of damage to Deadpool, so passing up for an entire zone of coverage for 50-100k damage or a flimsy reset isn’t buying it for me.

A strong Deadpool team needs the right mix of creativity and practicality. Doom largely contributes to the “practicality” side of that, so go out and play a 3rd character that best fits you.

I’ve been using my team for quite a while and it seems to have a great team synergy…
Deadpool, Dante, and Akuma
Although I only play online, I still have good succes with them…
Akumas Tatsu for great mix up and putting pressure.
Dantes Jam session for keeping them off my ass

Hello people, new to spidey/dpool here.

My favourite toons in umvc3 are Spidey/Dpool never really looked into them in depth though. Could a spidey/dpool team with /xx whoever work? thinking arthur? I have not tried it yet but i am willing to persevere to try and get it somewhere?

Maybe Spidey(webswing/weball? Havent worked out what would be best for Dpool) Dpool trigger happy AA , for spidey and arthur?) and Arthur Dagger throw for horizontal pressure??

Any other anchor options that might be a possibillity for this weird team would be appreciated :wink:

Spidey on point with Deadpool 2nd is a great team. Any time Spidey lands an Ultimate Web Throw, it’s pretty much a 100% because Deadpool can OTG after. As for anchor, I’d usually say Doom, but Arthur is great in the anchor position too. Just be wary of teleporting characters.

Be sure you learn that Spidey UWT reset, only Sentinel gets out of it I think. You end a BnB in j.S, have Deadpool OTG, then do cr.M xx UWT. They’ll flip out instead of air-teching, and from there you can Deadpool OTG again into a kill.

Yea thanks mate i’ve just been messing around with the team and its got some but weird synergy and i like the characters so i’m going to try and make something happen. I was thinking about she-hulk anchor because of abegen but somebody is saying her DHC synergy is pretty much non-existant with spidey/dpool because they take her wallbounce, or does anybody know otherwise if she could somehow have some sort of synergy?

I like UWT into arthur gold armour raw tag spidey back in, and those gold daggers assist turns godlike for horizontal pressure.

But i really do what to have a very little played team and try to make it work, i would like to try she hulk as i quite like her as a character, but i guess i’m sticking with arthur otherwise.

Actually all characters with 8 way air dash can get out of the UWT reset. By either air teching forward and air dashing up or simply by air dashing up. Also in Ultimate Spidey’s webzip otgs so you really don’t need Deadpool for that. After the UWT reset you can get a full combo without an otg assist. (Also you don’t even need the Deadpool assist to set up the UWT reset either) I guess the Deadpool OTG could come in handy at the end of the combo to get a crawler assault.(when otg webzip wont connect because of hitstun decay.) Sadly the changes to Ultimate made Deadpool’s OTG assist much less useful for Spider-Man(although there is still some usefulness.) Now that Spidey has webzip otg, there are other options he can look at on a team that offer a larger amount of support choices for Spidey and the whole team in general.
