Great now I feel like an asshat, no harm done, just hate it when peeps don’t put in any effort or even do a lil search before they ask questions.
Well first things first cut that “Oh I won with x-factor so it doesn’t count” crap out, your opponent isn’t gonna feel sorry for you when he steamrolls you with x-factor neither should you, if you manage to open him up on 3 separate occassions with hawkeye with no assists you deserve that win and he can hold that l to his chest. Secondly, unless you airthrow zero/vergil I personally wouldn’t recommend blowing x-factor with logan. lvl 1 x-factor logan simply isn’t what it used to be and since lvl 3 x-factor hawkeye is legitimately scary it really makes more sense to save it for him(except for in a select few situations).
When you do his slide, if your not covering it with an assist cancel that shit into trick shot :l: poison tip, its +5 on block and you can combo off it in x-factor(not sure which levels allow this, but I know its possible).
As for resets, you can do or (at about 6:38)
No, I think you’re in the right. I shouldn’t have just posted so blindly and should have been more courteous for the hard work put into this thread. I apologize for being lazy.
Yeah, that’s true, but it doesn’t feel very “skillful” chipping them out with a wall of arrows. A win is a win, I guess.
Concerning X-Factor. While I don understand that Hawkeye with XF3 is a threat, I like using XF with Logan because it generally guarantees a kill and swings momentum in my favor, which Hawkeye, doesn’t really do. I feel like if I get down to Hawkeye with XF3 and they still have their XF, my XF3 Hawkeye is a waste because I won’t be doing any chip.
I love the 2nd video reset. Totally awesome. It might be the video or my computer, but for the 1st video, I’m not exactly sure what they’re doing. Care to explain?
I think XF3 hawkeye is pretty good. Does a lot of chip and can fill the screen with projectiles really quick. Against another XFed character you have to switch your game up and play a more footsie heavy neutral game. I tend to go for air or even ground grabs with XF3 Hawkeye, as any throw should kill most characters. Off a throw do the normal, H trick shot- Ice arrow -> air combo to push them into/close to the corner, then you can [6m, dash, launch, Sj.H, Sj.S] x 3-4 loops I believe, although if you’re coming back on multiple characters, just do enough loops for some decent damage and Gimlet to conserve your XF time.
I still use 6m for double relaunch combos when im not XFed. Although, Im trying to become more consistent with some of those launch SJ cancel scatter shot combos so I have more options.
Yea sorry about that, the first video is pretty bad, the quality is horrible and it freezes. What happens is, the person does :h: net arrow, since the net arrow connected at super jump height the opponent neutral techs(apparently it forces a neutral tech) allow you to go for a free air throw. This video shows it better at about 2:00 in.
, other than otging Im yet to find any use for it but Im far from a good hawkeye player to maybe Im just not thinking hard enough. I can see potential there, I njust haven’t tried to tap said potential.
Love the character so much though, haha. I’ll accept my wins.
I can do the Scatter Shot SJC combos in combo, but in a real match it seems impractical because it’s easier to do MMHS unless I know I’m gonna get the punish. But I guess that’s just something for me to work on personally.
Is there a reason you use that for the relaunch as opposed to the Trick Maneuvers~Ice?
Do you guys have a “flow chart” for a lack of a better regarding the blockstrings you use for arrows? Making my way back towards the hawk and wanted to see what people suggest for block strings. I usually have him in the 3rd slot but try to avoid using him last at all costs.
Are there any good frame traps off of trick M follow up H? A lot of times i go for staning M if I’m close enough hoping the opponents pushes buttons. trick H follow up H is a pretty decent mix up at times when i’m running hadagenki. last but not least what are you guys using for assist punishes? does gimlet xfc trick M follow up H gimlet work as an assist punisher?
Just a couple Hawkeye notes:

[]I was wrong in my previous post. Triple arrow on hit isn’t -13, I was going by what the bible said on its frame data. However, it’s still negative. I had a magneto dummy mashing his I believe 6-frame cr.L from point blank and he still managed to punish me, so its probably -7 or -8, around that range.
[]Hawkeye’s level 3 is one of the best XF time wasters ever, which can be good or bad depending on how you use it. IMO, you should never use it while in xf UNLESS its to finish off the last character. Hawkeye can kill easily with 1 meter in XF as long as you do it in midcombo. Also, if you do his lvl3 with about ~30% left of XF, by the time Antman actually gets to throw a fist to your opponent, XF is just about done. Plus, it’s his final stomp where most of the damage is done (iirc its 220k of his 430k dmg). However, if your opponent has XF running, its a great way to run out most of their XF, so its probably in your best interest to burn the meter even if it doesn’t kill.
[]I found this out after fending off a dark wesker: After Hawk’s level3, if they recover forward(which they most likely are, since they’re always gonna try to close the distance) and if you do a preemptive H-trick (aka his forward command jump) and do Ice shot, you’re in perfect position to cross them up right on wakeup. Doing Ice shot allows you to link a cr.L into a full combo afterwards.
[]In XF3&2, if you catch someone standing into a H->net arrow, even from full screen, you have enough time to do a small dash canceled into H->net arrow several times, meaning you can slowly inch forward until you’re in distance to slide into launch to kill them faster& not have to worry about hitstun deterioration kicking in during your net arrow loop.

Does anyone else use Clint on point? I feel like Hawkeye backed with Missiles can only be countered by Dorm and most people don’t use him on point. Dorm doesn’t necessarily counter Hawkeye but his Chaotic Blaze is an easy way to eliminate Doom’s Missiles, thus making Hawkeye a little less effective.
Doom missiles, in general, doesn’t do well against beams.
Hawkeye can protect Doom, but only to the extent that the opponent cannot pump the screen full of projectile durability. In order words, if it comes down to a firefight, missiles are not particularly useful (unless you are Morrigan).
First 3 are midscreen, yes. Off a forward throw midscreen, there’s a slight delay before the :h: shot into the net arrow, then slide > launch for the rest of the combo. This combo works in the corner (you can loop :h: > net arrow 3 times), but the poison variation does more damage.
