So are us Hawkeye players pretty much fukked when someone gets close to us or what??Haven’t read anything in here that substantial as far as strategies toward teleporters,and what about the big bruisers with super armor on some of their normals??Sentinel,Nemesis and Hulk really give out problems for Clint with assists helping them out.I play Hawkeye as my anchor after Vergil and Nova but not being able to protect over his head and no mobility besides his Trick Shot flips seem to leave me screwed every once in a while…I mean his XF Lv.3 chip is incredible and even better if they hit(they’re dead),his Triple Arrow assist completes my Vergil(BFF’s!!) and his slide is the shyt cancelled into Trick Shot M-Ice Arrow but I feel like there’s an aspect of Clint’s offense that I’m missing to make him really dope.He’s definitely effective and good in XF Lv.3 but probably my weakest link and I’d like to make him much better
Fuck Hawkeye. What are Hawkeye’s 3 worst matchups, along with the hardest assist for him to deal with on each of those characters? I’m just going to make a team out of that, because fuck Hawkeye.

Ok I’ve been using this character since launch as well with Strider and Dormammu and the number of characters Hawkeye shits on is absurd.
I can’t think of one assist that is a sure fire way disrupt his zoning.
Teleports? j.H has got you covered.

3h on that ass, it only covers 8/9 of the ground, and then YOU CAN MAKE IT SAFE. By cancelling it to any of his trick shots (Preferably L)
Striders Vajra assist was the one thing I dreaded before launch cause I knew it’d be a pain in the ass for Hawkeye…

j.H has to be among the best normals in the entire game (It’s on par with zero’s pizza cutter in terms of stupid) You’ve got a huge hitbox that’s multi hit.
And of all characters you give it to the games best ZONER!
I can’t emphasize how much this move has saved my ass.
Not to mentin that from regular jumping height (not s.j) You can HITCONFIRM and convert a NET ARROW LOOP from this thing.

I’m not even going to go into how dumb Gimlet is, I love this character.
there are plenty of ways to dodge gimlet, and once people start figuring it out you’ll have to really pick and choose when to let them fly (tip: dante can get a free combo off any raw gimlet just by doing a teleport)
Offhand, Taskmaster beats Hawkeye at zoning. He has enough life to take about 4 Gimlets in the face, while staying in the opposite top corner raining down diagonal/horizontal arrows as needed.
Also, if Tasky does random arrows super, Hawkeye can’t really Gimlet through it. Sometimes it works, but most of the time Gimlet gets nullified and he gets hit by the arrows.
I disagree i think Hawkeye beats Task at zoning. Horizontal/diagnal arrows lose to jumping tripple arrows and spritzer.
…that’s why I said Tasky stays in the opposite top corner. Tasky’s not staying on the ground, he’s constantly superjumping back. Hawkeye’s gotta Gimlet to hit him there, or move forward and do Triple Piercing or something.

I think Task vs Hawkeye isn’t necessarily in one or the other’s favour too much and if it isn’t then I’d say it’s slightly in hawkeye’s favour. Jumping greyhound can shut down task doing his own jump arrow zoning pretty well and arcing super arrows would need to be executed with pretty tight timing to catch hawkeye while jumping and trying to make him land on horizontal arrow super allows hawkeye to use Gimlet to avoid it completely. Taskmaster is much better up close imo so it’s in clint’s best interest to try and zone him out.
First time poster here, I normally just lurk the forums. I think I have found something really interesting with my team of Hulk/Hawkeye/Taskmaster. After a dhc from gamma crush to Hawkeye’s dp motion hyper I can connect gimlet dhc back to gamma crush and then dhc to any of taskmasters hypers. My apologies if this was already known and I am just wasting everyones time but I haven’t seen it anywhere else.
ive been messing around with net arrow loops on xbl today. got many a hatemail, it’s just too good. 500k damage combo from full screen with 1 bar? yes please. i managed to get like 6 loops off the air version against tron and sentinel too. wolverine was hard to get more than 1 or 2.
whats the timing on that? I can’t get more than 5 hits off it, after the 5th my dead arrow comes out to late.
Kind of random but can someone link me to some Genghis matches (using hawkeye)? There’s no hawkeye video thread, and I couldn’t find any on youtube.
What’s the best way to get in safely? Slide -> Trick?
Edit: Had a derp moment because I remember now Clint is a zoner. Should be using his tools. Instead I was thinking "Oh, combo into Gimlet."
But the slide’s not useless, so yeah. 
the timing is simply “fast”. i can consitently get 6-7 net arrows on anti air, on a grounded opponent i think you can only do 4, but even that many is tough. what i’ve been doing on an air confirm is 6 reps (because sometimes the 7th misses for whatever reason) then trick M, poison tip gimlet.
note that you cannot do the air loop on rocket raccoon.
I apologize if this is already in the thread but just wanted to post it quick. Found if you cancel Scatter Shot into raw Gimlet from within 3/4 screen and sometimes full screen either

[]Gimlet is blocked = arrows coming down stuff them trying to punish or once they figure this out they keep blocking Scatter Shot thus making Gimlet safe and give you an extra second to plan your next move

Scatter Shot has pretty quick startup so you don’t lose a lot over doing a raw Gimlet.
The Life of a hawkeye player is a rough one…when will people realize that saying you spam with characters like arthur and hawkeye makes them look really stupid

And also learn how to teleport (if you have teleporters), find gaps in projectiles. etc…
