Anyone got any combos using shock value? that moves awesome. Anyway, loving Hawkeye, nothing better than seeing your opponent trying to get in but getting hit by every arrow type you have Currently using Avengers, DHCing Mighty Tornado to SSS works wonders.
Replace my BNB with Shock Value on the first OTG
EDIT: Wonât work on Rocket Racoon
shock value is good for OTGâs off of throws. I throw it out randomly also in between arrows.
Good to know, thanks for checking for me.
against Ammy, Iâve found it useful to do a falling j.S just to stuff out her st. M, while j.H has been useful to me against her air game. Itâs definitely a pain trying to zone her just because sheâs small enough to duck under all of your arrows and her normals easily tear through Hawkeyeâs. If youâre stuck in a corner, looking for opportunities for a trick shot H cross up has been saving my ass.
Does her reflector also work on shock value?
Thatâs my two cents anyway.
I donât actually know if the reflector affects shock value, if its a projectile then id assume at the very least it nullified it. The only positive in that match-up is ammy canât dash, at all against clint when he has meter, she canât even fake a dash against a hawkeye with good reactions or she is eating a raw 250k, and maybe even more if he has dhcâs available.
With that said can definitely see ammy and rocket raccoon giving clint all sorts of nightmares, played a RR last night and while Im sure part of the problem was a complete lack of character experience, the dude still looks like he will be an issue for clint since he duck under almost all his projectiles and pretty much forces clint to be the aggressor.
slide into BNB combo DHC kills Rocket Raccoon. You have nothing to worry about.
Shock Value is a projectile; it will activate Dr Strangeâs projectile-counter hyper.
Does anyone else find opponents sometimes teching out after an otg ice arrow? Itâs probably when I do it too slow but it sometimes seems that it even happens when Iâm doing it reasonably fast.
It usually happens to me when i active the ice arrow too late so im pretty sure thats the reason why people can tech out of it.
The trick to this is while doing your air combo, delay j.:s: (after j.:h:) as much as you can. You reach the ground quicker, thus allowing you to easily connect the OTG Ice Arrow ( :qcb:+:l:->:m:). If you choose to do the Slide into relaunch (after OTG Ice Arrow), during the second air combo, you cannot delay j.:s: (due to hitstun). When you reach the ground, you can OTG Poison Arrow ( :qcb:+:l:->:l:) into Gimlet ( :qcf:+:2p:).
i found something interesting about hawkeye while my friend was playing him
so you need at least two characters if he tries to chip you to death with his insta super donât know what itâs called you can hold down the assist button to call out your other character and totally avoid it (x-factor not taken into consideration) as for punishing idk you test it out
damn, I just found out hawkeye can move his charged s.H in 30 degree angle.
I was blown away when i first discovered that jpwn lol, too bad he cant shoot diagnolly like task master. but hes better than task over all when it comes to zonining anyways so im content.
You mean approx 180k of total damage? Shouldnât be hard to test that, I was curious about this too.
For those that thought Shock Value was a ground bounce, it is not! You can combo both Shock Value and OTG Ice Arrow in the corner (takes a little practice though).
Really like Hawkeye but tempted lately to drop him since I just get decimated when people get in on him. He is so unsafe and punishable on most of his moves, or I at least need some new keep-out tricks. People with teleports like Vergil and Wesker get in on me wayyyy too easily. Tips before I resort back to the dark side and pick up my old main in vanilla, Wesker?
all his punishable moves can be rendered safe thanks to his trick rolls. it is just up to you to use the right one.
scummy incoming character setup (corner only): stand at about half screen and fire an exploding arrow, immediately going into jump :h::s: to catch the incoming character and grounding them. from here there are 2 options.
-
the opponent knows whatâs going on and respects the off-screen exploding arrow, which will still hit even though it is not visually represented, leading, to another mixup/setup opportunity, such as
a) throw during explosion delay
b) high-low shenanigans
c) general pressure -
the opponent tries fighting back or dashing/teleporting out, which will be caught by the explosion, leading to the BnB of your choosing.
it seems sort of gimmicky but it has won me a couple matches because people donât acknowledge it once it leaves the screen.
I went into the lab and tested it NO IT DOESNT stack but it does RESET the damage/poison countâŚso if you were approaching the 90000k damage mark(lets just say your around 80000) and u land another one the poison timer stars over so you start back to 0 working the damage back up
Also it doesnt speed up the poison damage if you turn on xfactor it still burns at the same rate
DAT Adi Granov Doc. Doom avi is badass where is it from? And Iâll have to save shock value for another time. Getting used to slight back into freezing arrow in the corner right now.
Hit confirm much bro? I havenât done any real matches yet, but I do feel that Clintâs command rolls/hops are slept on for crossup/grab shenanigans/mind games. Iâll have to see what heâs like in a real match, but I play Tony and heâs all about hit confirm. Itâs entirely up to you really if you wanna use a braindead main for easy wins really. But Clint has a lot of potential.
Also I see occasionally use of ragtime from long range, that move has TERRIBLE projectile durability lol. I do wanna see it worked into a combo, this guy has so much potential itâs crazy xD
Hey how do you cancel :s: into, wellâŚanythingâŚI know itâs possible but it never comes out when i do like :s: :dp::l:
