Im getting hawkeyes combos pretty easily, but the spacing is hard form me, you’d think he could cover he air midscreen better. exploding arrown always seems to curve right past my opponent. may have to break up my dream team to employ hidden missiles.
I’ve learned that you can also dash inbetween the net arrow to s.H in order to get closer from full screen without x factor and get a bnb with an assist that brings them into the air like rr’s log trap among other assists

pretty good mixup on incoming charecters that i found is to perform his up arrow that detonates and then as the oppenent enters do his forward command roll to roll underneath

OMG that just made my day. I suspected this was true but nice to have it confirmed. I’m really liking hawkeye as anchor. Great assist and in x factor 3 he’s pretty crazy.
Right now my favorite thing about hawkeye anchor is x factor 3 gimlet 1 shots phoenix ^.^
Hey guys, just finished playing 6 hours of hawkeye at my friends place and I must say I love this character. I was running hawk/sent/trish and it worked really well, sent helped control a lot of space when the opponent was full screen, and peekabo made them think twice about swinging when they got close. It seemed to work really well overall.
A quick question though, what do you guys do when a character gets within like st. :h: range, I just blocked and did random slides but I know the latter isn’t a very safe option. What do y’all do?

You can cancel his slide with trick shots. I basically use slides as pokes, if they hit go into a combo. If they are blocked cancel into trick shot L.

Can somebody tell me how Hawkeye uses anti-air on a mid-screen airbourne opponent? I seem to have trouble dealing with characters who stick in the air anyways as Scatter shot and Triple Piercing take too long to come out and hit only on the othe rside of the screen. triple shot in the air also fires a bit too high for some characters, (unless I wait a bit for him to fall down which I should start doing)
I wish he had the ability to fire triple shot down forward like Task can, but alas.
corner OTGs are very easy. The trick is to jump backwards on the first launch, not vertical or directly upwards; this will make Hawkeye float backwards slightly during the air series. It will leave you in perfect range for an OTG ice arrow when you land.
My current corner BNB is:
c.LM xx Slide xx S, normal jump backwards, j.MMHS, Trick Maneuver L xx Ice Arrow, Slide xx S, neutral jump MMHS, Trick Maneuver L into Poison Tip xx Gimlet
Total 488400 damage (plus Poison Tip damage over time).

It seems that your best bet for someone mid screen jumping on you is air triple arrow. Hawkeye’s jumping H is a really good anti air as well though, especially for those who like to super jump at you. Jumping H canceled into triple arrow confirmed into gimlet. Get around 400k and make them think about pushing buttons, then they’ll start to block during their jumps allowing you to AA throw them.
Never thought about that, but is this possible, can you cancel a jumping :h: into the :qcf: and then get a full combo off that? Oh and as an aside, this is me just theory fighting here but what exactly does hawkeye do against amaterasu when he doesn’t have meter? I haven’t tested but id be very surprised if ammy projectile counter didn’t send everything hawkeye fires back, if you have a bar you can punish her very easily with a gimlet but you won’t always have meter and I don’t see this match-up being fun for hawkeye up close since ammy’s normals are still really good, so full screen is where hawkeye should rule, but that counter looks like it might give him issues.

Midscreen you just use H trick maneuver on the first OTG, but the rest of the combo is exactly the same. After the relaunch, you can do neutral or jump forward if you want.
The j.H into Net arrow works. Great Idea, i’m incorporating this into my game!
