i hate that tiger knee cancel string so much and its a huge part of the damage

actually i found its really easy to do by doing slide, down forward s, down forward h

I’ll post some results tonight after testing poison arrow.
Also, I like in the video that toomeke posted that the guy was holding back in the air to adjust his distance. This helps not have to backdash after landing.

Has anyone tested how poison arrow damage works as an assist?

Right now I’m running zero/nova/hawkeye using the poison arrow assist and it doesn’t seem the poison effect is affected by damage scaling. I’ve used the assist early in combos and towards the end and the combo seems to do the same amount of damage. Tough to test because the damage counter only counts the first hit of the poison shot and not the damage from the poison effect.

I’m hoping it doesn’t scale cause man that would be pretty awesome.

Anyone feel like the use of special moves after launcher are hard to land? Trying to do something fancy in the corner after poison, assist relaunch, ice otg shot, relaunch cancel into triple piercing followed by super or just qcb l to retreat and gain distance.

Hawkeye seems a little strange in that combos seem trickier in the corner than when midscreen. Most characters it’s the opposite. Hawkeye’s trick shot in the corners requires you to back dash in order to make it connect.

Thanks for that but I was referring to combo, Launcher xx Triple Piercing instead of doing an air combo. I find the link difficult.

anyone know if his poison scales with combos? if not then this assist is going to make my captain america CRAZY loooool i’ll have a million damage bnb by the end of the week!

Has anyone figured out a loop with his capture net arrows…im almost positive there is some sort of broken loop you can do with it i just havent figured it out yet lol

also if you do his standing h arrows and charge it to 3 if u double tap the Standing H he will buffer back into arrow stance and u can fire 1 more arrow that will combo with the first 3 on hit so essentially you get 4 arrows plus you can chain other special move arrows

Maybe try stand H cancel into net arrow?

Ya there has gotta be. In the corner after super jump you can M M H xx net arrow. But the enemy always flips out before I can relaunch. Maybe I’ll try it out some more tonight.

actually with level 1 xfactor he can loop tha standing H into his trapping arrows at point blank range…im gonna go experiement with level 2 and 3 xfactor

Its xfactor only and can be done consistantly at level 3 up to 12 hits its performed h xx hunter rinse and repeat

can be done full screen away and is very leniant on the inputs

A kinda fun little thing I’ve done with Hawkeye/Task/Doom:

Anytime you confirm the normal H arrows into slide (or just the slide itself, but the slide does cancel out of h arrows successfully), you can cancel slide into THC. While Task and Doom continue to shoot their hypers, you can mash qcb + L + L (poison trick shot) and it will come out twice in addition to the damage from the THC. It does like 750k + two poison arrows.

You can ALSO do the same thing kinda from any normal launcher series. Your normal launch + magic series, then ice shot on the ground into slide > THC. Spam out poison shots and you can get 2 or 3. This combo does 915-950k in the corner with an additional two poison arrows on top of that.

My bnb with assists so far in the corner is launcher > magic series and land > doom plasma beam + trick shot poison > relaunch and land > task arrow + trick shot poison > gimlet (if needed). The timing is very tough, but it’s something I can get used to. I’ll post this on the combo thread too I guess, but wanted to know if you guys have had any teams with Task and Doom and any tricks/preferred assists you’ve discovered so far. Also still trying to debate on the order. Currently Hawk/Task/Doom, but I’ve been doing Doom 4x relaunches in the corner that use Hawkeye’s poison assist and then into Sphere Flame. Both Task and Hawkeye’s supers are great follow ups for sphere flame as well.

Do you guys think plasma beam is stronger with Hawkeye to continue combos while Hawkeye covers the air? Hidden missiles are good because you can be full screen and if you see them hit you can easily dash and slide for a combo, but the scaling is bad and you can’t really use the missiles in combos at all. Thoughts?

Really depends on what your other character is, but I like the beam a lot better if you already have an assist that can cover aerial space. In the case of your team, I’d probably pick the beam if Hawkeye is using the vertical arrows assist. Taskmaster could use his parabolic arrows and you could shut down a majority of the screen with all three assists.

I am thinking about running Wesker/Hawkeye team with possibly Ryu as the third.

According to the guide the 90,000 damage from poison is UNSCALED when used as an assist mid combo!!! 1 million bnb with captain America here i come!

Alright so don’t have the guide yet, but have been testing some things out with hawkeye.

  1. First thing I noticed was that trick shot M to frost arrow has very little hit stun, the only things that can connect are s.L, c.l, and gimlet so obviously is a combo ender for that specific one, not the trick shot l or h those seem to have more hitstun.
  2. s.H(1 arrow) > net arrow > s.H > net arrow works up to 3 times getting a 6 hit combo where s.H will no longer hit full screen or right next to the person but feels like a 1 frame link from net arrow to s.H it also works from hit 4 s.H to any other special instead of net arrow so it would be like
    s.H > net arrow> s.H > net arrow> s.H > (insert special here) where if you are close enough you can do trick shot L or H freezing shot > slide> combo
    or if you are too far s.H > qcf H > gimlet

edit: nevermind it does not really feel like a 1 frame link, just had to practice it a little, but there is still some timing to it though. Also just got it to do 4 loops for an 8 hit combo, though I doubt it is an infinite and is kinda hard to get that last rep.

edit 2: sofar have about a 462,000 combo from full screen, but still working on it.
s.H > net arrow > s.H > net arrow> s.H > net arrow > s.H > trick shot M > Press H > gimlet
it does 461,900 damage.

you can do it easier and long in xfactor refer to my post above

my only issue is understanding the distance for Hawkeye’s relaunches and using the right arrows for the appropriate situations. Sometimes when I want to relaunch with Hawkeye I do the posion arrow instead of the Ice one.

only do the poison arrow if you call an assist that will hold them in place long enough…the ice ground bounces so he can solo relaunch his other arrow is the same as poison arrow
