Not gonna lie, Seth’s anti-crossup teleport saves me from having to deal with mixups, pressure and punishment from whiffing a DP after I’m knocked down. I’m really bad at fighting against frame traps and rushdown, and with teleport I don’t have to.
I love playing against teleport characters in MK9, cause if you block, they bounce off you and you can full combo punish them.
Lol, teleports are scrubby as fuck. Marvel 3 has made us all terrible players and you don’t even realize it.
They either need to cost bar or be made less safe.
Then again, the whole god damn game is a mess so it would still be terrible with those types of minor tweaks.
If I learned how to teleport, I wouldn’t work another day in my life. I would just teleport into a bank vault, grab a bunch of cash, and teleport right back out. Oh, they managed to catch me on camera in the vault? That’s fine, arrest me. I’ll just teleport right the fuck out of prison you motherfuckers!
That’s assuming you can just imagine something and teleport. Anyway you don’t like teleports play a different game.

If you teleport late to work, even if its delayed wake ups fault, it’s still punishable.
It’s already been said, but the problem isn’t the mechanic; you’re getting bopped by teleports for falling into set ups (lack of awareness or game knowledge) or failing to punish (lack of knowledge couples with a bad reaction or a failed read.)
Most characters that have them use them situationally. It’s up to you as a player to recognize the situation before (or if you’re average like me), as its happening. Mk teleports are stupid easy to block. I don’t play mvc so I can’t comment there, except from what I’ve watched and read… If they’re assist is allowing them to teleport for free and mix you the fucj up, counter assist, or quit getting into the situation. As fir sf4, Sim will teleport mostly to escape, cross up and combo. Teleport happy Sim’s are asking for their shit to be pushed in. Same with most sf dudes cause the recovery on teleports is generally 45 years.
Bottom line being, the teleport is a situational tool you can learn how to defeat through observation and practical application. As with anything in a fighting game, you’re opponent will continue to do what nets him damage for as long as it continues to do so. It’s up to you to stop the teleports.

Try Skullgirls, KOF, Arcana Heart 3, Phantom Breaker Extra or anything by ArcSys. Some of those have teleports but maybe you will find them less bullshit than the ones in Marvel.
