It’s because you have to cancel the High Time into the Trick before you can do the super. You’re canceling the Trick into Super, not the High Time itself.

OK, I am super terrible at getting the Rising Sun->Trick Down->sj. M, M, H, S. Any advice on the timing? I just can’t seem to get it down for some reason.
Deadpools assist doesn’t reset, but it doesn’t use the one ground bounce in a combo until the character has reached a certain height. That means if you can hit them with some move right after the otg (in this case the swords) the ground bounce won’t be used saving it for later in the combo. This clip shows it Deadpool does 3 Katana-Rama’s but only the 3rd one actually uses the ground bounce (If you try to do it after using ground bounce in a combo they just roll out)
You can and it builds more meter but have to start it closer to mid screen but you end up with other char in the corner and to me it seems Hyper does less damage then. Can get the 3rd lunar phase to hit underneath and Vergil ends up in the corner but it has weird spacing + timing. If Vergil ends up in corner does 850k+
I’m only getting slightly over 600k or 700k rarely. Does anyone have any advice to get over 800k for 1 bar with no assists? Or at least with no OTG assists?
I’m running Trish and Taskmaster, and don’t have any viable assists right now that are OTG. Any advice is appreciated to increase the damage of my BnBs.
Think combo’ing the second 3H xx super is caused by hitting the last bubble on top. It seems like the bubbles are kinda wierd. I noticed in the combo vid he purposefully put himself in the corner to get the combo. I’m able to get it about 70% of the time by just making sure my last otg leaves me in the corner and canceling when the opponent is at the peak, but there probably is a trick to make this work 100% with mashing I’ve tried mashing and not and seems unclear which is superior.
I finally broke 700k with my latest BnB with Dante’s crystal assist and one meter. The damage maxed out at 720K but it fluctuates between 685-710K depending on random hits from spiral swords and what character its done on. Builds 1 meter and uses one meter and ends in a hard knock down

for extra meter you could tack on another super for over 800k or cut it short and rearrange the swords for more shenanigans
I have to say that I am really impressed with that combo because it is so simplistic with so much damage. That combo can actually be a touch of death combo on Strider.
improved solo vergil combo, 700kish (give or take 15k depending on hitbox and stuff) with 1 meter used, 35%~ solo net meter gain and good mix up options, can tack on another loop of spiral swords or end with dimension cut.

you can leave out the 5m if you want a bit more damage but less RT charge time
I use the standard config with LMH set to L3 and S set to R3 so that XF is just clicking the sticks in. I can do S+H but my problem is that 90% of the time, instead of them being pressed at the same time, I’ll get a sequence like S+H, S+H,S, H, S,H etc. Its the reason why I cant do his Mission mode. Maybe Im pressing them too fast…hmmm
EDIT: Are there any uses for his Sword Storm? I have a combo with RR that I use to help me get a mix-up/cross-up on characters but 3 bars for potentially killing one character seems a bit much. Basically I do a combo and use Pendulum assist during High Time and as the opponent is falling, I do Spiral Swords into Blistering Swords and cancel that into DS. Once DS ends there’s a second or two before the swords start to shoot, allowing me to think about how to attack.
It’s still confusing because S, H, S uses a ground bounce itself. And they do go up to approach superjump height right after. So how does the ground bounce from that get saved or reset?
Okay I think I have worked it out now, it seems Deadpool Assist does reset ground bounce, but it uses it again straight away if an attack doesn’t hit at the same time.
Tested it by starting with Deadpool doing Katana-rama (Used the Bounce) S sj.h Down Exchange to Vergil (Resets and Uses the Bounce again) then doing the end of my Combo with Vergil and the Bounce after the second Lunar phase did come out. Also delayed the Swords Hyper after deadpool assist and the Lunar Phase bounce did not come out as deadpool assist does use ground bounce after a certain point.
Also the slight Variation (Probably easier to do as well) if you need to build more meter

I’d like to see videos of this and your other combos, if possible. I’m having zero luck getting this stuff to work, specifically in trying to get Round Trip to combo after Spiral Swords -> Lunar Phase.
Question for all you guys. I know mashing will get extra hits on the Dimension Slash hyper, however does anyone know how to get that one extra hit that keeps the opponent in the air just a split second longer. I noticed that you can follow up with high rise and Dimension Slash again IF you get that extra hit. It seems really random, but I’ve managed to do it and use all 5 bars of meter in this loop.
Some say it’s luck, some say it’s timing. I’m sure the lab doctors are hard at work figuring this one out. I’m actually finding that I’d rather use Dimension Slash to DHC in/out & press my luck with High Time xx Trick Down resets, mixups, etc. Though… I haven’t been doing very well online "/
Yea, I’m leaning more towards timing. If it was luck I’ve wouldn’t have been able to do it 5 times in a row. Plus when I really attempt to do it I can nail it about 40% of the time. Guess we will just have to wait and see. In any case it would be a good head games tool.
try omitting the 2h after spiral swords/before lunar phase - seems to be character specific.
tbh this combo is very finicky and needs some hitbox specific adjustments. im only really satisfied with the dmg/meter/oki options. still looking for a more reliable option
Is this character specific in some way? I can do this on Wesker/Dante/average weight (or size?) characters + Ammy, but smaller characters like X-23 and Zero always drop about before the first Round Trip comes back, even when delaying the second :s:,:h: as long (I think) as possible
E: got it to work better by by omitting the 5m and walking back after the teleport. Works and X-23 and Zero now, but midgets like Joe, Arthur, and Raccoon will drop out. Good enough for me.
E2: durrrp take it one step futher; omit the 5m5h and it works on everyone; need to be slightly precharged though
