Use you’re ground- and Wallbounces and preferably some roundtrip and lunar phase stuff, since it builds meter.

I don’t think they go well together. Vergil is a meter whore and is pretty bad without hypers I think.

You actually need to see outside the box.

So we know for sure that spamming meter with Vergil is great. What people don’t look is that Vergil can do load of damage without even using meter and he build a lot of meter.What I needed was someone that had both Meter building and good OTG combo.Also Vergil mobility is insane and I believe abusing the teleport with OTG is really good.

Most combo use Vergil hyper combo to End a combo.So I can do a 20 hit combo that do around 600k damage without using the HC. or I can go with easier combo to have a secure 360k damage teleport back into position and repeat, thanx to Iron Man/Spider Man

or I could use the meter because it let me perform longer combo that do more damage and that end up giving me more Meter as well.

hmm how do you do rising sun if you’re already holding l from the beginning ?

Well…I dont really know how to explain how it work but this tech was use in the Ramza combo video.

i been playing vergil for a minute so i guess i better man up and ask what the hell am i doing wrong in my sword combos?!?!? I was doing 2x helm breaker for a while but the cr.H after judgement cut doesnt come out fast enough maybe im goofing something earlier on in the loop that is messing up the juggle. If i do lunarphase to start about 80 to 90 percent of the time the last hit of the lunar phase whiffs. any suggestion’s from anyone whos had similar exeriences or knows whats going wrong would be much appreciated

yeah i wasn’t doubting the combo itself it just looked like a typo, so i was giving a heads up, people may come in here trying to do it that way rather then holding after the r.sun

You could also just learn to charge switch. Or just charge with M instead of L.

I keep missing the Lunar Phase into Round Trip crH after the second Spiral swords, sometimes they are just too far out and fallout, but if i dash forward like when doing the helm breakers they will fallout of the LP at its peak…tips?

Two things in Vergil’s combos that build the most meter: his roundtrip loop and lunar phase. If you’re consistent with roundtrip loops, then try doing this:

cr.[LEFT]:l:/LEFT, st.[LEFT]:m:[/LEFT],[LEFT]:h:[/LEFT],[LEFT]:f:[/LEFT][LEFT]:h:[/LEFT],[LEFT]:s:[/LEFT], sj. :m:, :m:, :h:, :d: :h:, (land) otg assist, release charge, cr. :h:, :qcf: :l: (charge), cr. :h:,[LEFT]:f:[/LEFT][LEFT]:h:[/LEFT],:qcb: :m:, :s:, :h:, release charge, cr. :h:, :qcf: :l:
then from here you have two options:

  1. just do lunar phase(though the timing is a bit small) to max out meter gain and end the combo with a knockdown into either hightime or just let them tech roll and go from there
  2. st. :m: which will force them to recover in the air in front of you and you have many reset options you can figure out on your time
    Either way, if I remember correctly, this’ll build around 1.5 bars& do around 600k “I think” meter-less. Also, I don’t know what assist phoenix has, but you could include her somewhere in there for even more meter gain.

I’m trying to do the basic combo into OTG (wesker gun shot) into round trip, s.h, lunar phase, lunar phase.

But the end of the first lunar phase doesn’t connect sometimes, what should I be looking out for to make this combo hit consistently?

I dont do this combo anymore but the key is don’t hit sH too early. I would say when roundtrip reaches approximately it’s max distance is when you hit sH into lunar phase. If you do it too early, the last hit of lunar phase will whiff…which is actually a great air throw reset setup. So if you screw up, get that air throw lol.

Try OTG, round trip, c.H xx qcf.L, c.H xx dp.M

If you haven’t used your ground bounce yet you can go straight into swords super which would generate more meter and damage than simply doing lunar phase, high time, dimension slash after the ground bounce.

Is there a video of this combo? I really need a visualize for the timing and spacing.

Does anyone have a practical combo using blistering swords? I guess 2 meters in general is impractical. But i enjoy the move and don’t really know what to do with it haha

each shot is a soft knockdown, so if you set it up you can do

ground bounce or otg or w/e>spiral swords>2h blistering swords activated>immediate M+H>2H>M+H until you run out

other then that, im not really sure lol.

No, though I do have a rather impractical one since executing it is almost a roll of the dice it does do about as much as 2 spiral swords loops.

at the end of lunar phase the swords fire and juggle them right in front of Vergil instead of knocking them down so i do another round trip, cr:h:xxj.cut, lunarphase. About 900k. You can get more damage if you start from midscreen and use lunarphase to carry them to the corner and stinger to pop them out into round trip stuff. The trick is getting the opponent on top of the j cut after activating blistering swords.
