can this combo be done anywhere on screen? and in devil trigger if it works would i have to modify it ?
A more simplified answer to what was said by someone else is…
Your jumps have too much air. You should never see Vergil do the somersault portion of the jump before the helmet breakers. It really doesn’t seem to matter to me whether or not I jump forward or straight up when I do the combo because the dummy is coming back to you anyway.

Well, if you keep holding L after your first hyper there, you can land after the next LP and do
round trip > c.H > judgment cut L > LP > df + H > dimension slash or reset
idk why you’d wanna do that when there’s better stuff with just that assist that isn’t any harder
Came up with a combo to follow up an air throw, the damage ranges from about 630k to about 700k.

I haven’t seen to many combos off of air throws. Let me know what you guys think and please let me know if u have any suggestions for maximizing the damage.

Just be careful of characters with air moves that have big double sided hitboxes (Zero, Wesker, Doom).
I think the reset after high time > trick down is just as deadly and you can get that every time after all the damage, so eh
either way I screw around with a similar thing except I finish a swords loop combo and when I’m about to do the last judgment cut > lunar phase I just do s.L > dash or teleport + doom assist, exact same reset after more damage, up to you
Yea Vergil’s resets are much harder to react too after you’ve hit your opponent with a sword loop once or twice. My basic resets are off of high time and just before I begin a sword loop (round trip, cr.h, judgement cut) I’ll just hit them with a st. L and teleport x assist or go for a air grab. Another fun one is instead of st. l, use cr.:h:/call assist, stinger (yes after you’ve used your wallbounce) and teleport M. Depending on how quickly you teleport the opponent’s tech direction will reverse and so will their screen position so they may end up flying into your arms for a grab or free hit confirm and if they somehow react to such a disorienting move the assist attack will hold them in place for another mix up or what have you. There’s a golden instant to teleport that makes the opponent hang in the middle of the screen no matter which way they try to tech

I do the stinger reset as well, also off a judgment cut i would to c.H+weasel shot and teleport for a free 50/50. Shenanigans if you dont want to waste meter.

My personal suggestion would be that at this part: :a2: (Wesker gunshot), :dp:+:m:, :dp: + :atk: :atk:
That you switch lunar phase and spiral swords. The reason for this is that you can follow up with two lunar phases, and leave your opponent in a ground bounce. From there, you have all the time in the world to look at your meter and decide whether you want to either : (1) Do another lunar phase, (2) High Time to Dimension Slash, (3) Let them recover on the ground and mix them up, (4) Activate spiral swords again and go for 2 more lunar phases which lead to a hard knockdown.

It’s a known fact that if you use Helmet breaker after the j.:h: instead of :s:, you can get a bare Lunar Phase (as in, without having spiral swords active) to groundbounce (since you won’t have wasted your groundbounce on the j.:s:). Makes the spiral swords loop a lot more damaging because of that extra Lunar Phase at the end.
Now let’s say we add another :f::d::df:+:atk::atk:, hold :l:, :f::d::df:+:m:, Round Trip, c.:h:, :l:Judgment Cut, :f::d::df:+:m:
You get at least 920k off of this combo, plus you get to set your opponent up for a reset after high time. If you want to go for the kill (if they’re not dead yet, looking at you, Albert.), you can add a dimension slash. I prefer this combo because it doesn’t rely on the specific positioning for dimension slash.

Looking for some pointers on how to do :f:+:h:, Trick, Round Trip after doing a very long combo. The scenario is:
(full combo with Captain America ending in Hyper Charging Star) DHC Vergil: :f::d::df:+:atk::atk:, hold :l:, :f::d::df:+:m:, (spiral sword hit), :f::d::df:+:m: (ground bounce), c.:h:, :f:+:h: (wall bounce), Trick, Release Round Trip, c.:h:, :l: Judgment Cut, :f::d::df:+:m:, :df:+:h:.
My problem is the Round Trip - I can’t get it out fast enough after the wall bounce. Any tips? I’m trying to cancel Stinger into teleport as fast as I can but the timing always seems too tight but I see this a lot in the videos in this thread.
You sure you’re supposed to be teleporting there? if you’re in the corner (maybe everywhere, idk, I don’t use this combo) you can do stinger > round trip raw if you time it right

You don’t really need the Strider assist, my timing just isn’t good enough without it. And you can use any OTG
if only those setups worked with dante’s otg… gotta play wesker i guess
You can use Dante’s OTG, the timing is just different / harder. I used to use Vergil, Dante, Strider (for all swords team haha)
Yeah, you’re totally right. Cap combo always ends in corner so it’s no problem to do Stinger, (wallbounce, wait), release Round Trip and do a loop. No teleport needed since they bounce over your head.

Just have to wait more before releasing the RT. Getting more without having to burn 1 meter for swords+weasal shot
