@ Sephiroth: Thanks I’m gonna get on practicing that. So then does a lot of Vergil’s game revolve around the Spiral Swords? I’ve only found a use for them just to hold someone in the air after a ground bounce so I can hit more damage.

its a day 1 combo route, cancel starfall to round trip before you land
its sort of random from what ive tested on whether or not your able to, but telling whether you are able to is not. Go into training mode & do high time into dimension slash several times. sometimes, the opponent will get hit by the very, very last set of swords that come out sort of late, & its then that you can do another high time. Trust me, after doing high time into dimension slash several times, you’ll be able to tell if that late hit connects or not

Good shit, is the j.S round trip part character specific at all? I can’t exactly practice it at home on my laggy tv.
what are some of the good combos off misc confirms such as anti air magic series or anti air s, to helm breaker, or jump s ground bounce?
If you really want to get much off of a random air series or helm breaker you really need an otg assist. If you have one you can just go into 5H, Stinger, M trick, 5H, 5S, 5H, release round trip, spiral sword loops.
i run vergil anchor or second so i dont have assists that primarily assists him persay. I usually run Zero-a/Dante-a/Vergil-y so… I’ve seen vergil confirm off helm breaker somehow using jam session but i’m not sure how to maximize its efficiency.
The best you could probably do with jam session is Helm breaker, call dante, otg with 3H which should lift them into jam session. What you can get after that i’m not entirely sure since I’ve never used it. If you are going to run Vergil without an Otg assist backing up, you just kind of have to accept that his combo options from a lot of random hits become more limited unfortunately. Your other option of course is using XFC if it’s appropriate at the time.
This is one of the reason more and more players are looking to Vergil as their point character, since he doesn’t truly thrive without an assist to help him get in or do teleport mixups, and an OTG assist to open up his best combos in most situations.
hmmm yeah. i suppose since zero doesn’t really need assists to open people up i should use zero as anchor and maybe put dante-b/vergil-y/zero-a. Dante gets horizontal control from vergil and combo extension from zero and vergil will get the otg assist that he needs while using zero’s lvl 3 x factor to go absolutely nuts lolol. I guess it’s gonna come down to who makes a better anchor, zero or vergil… only playing can find out!!
I am trying to cancel j.s into round trip doesnt seem to work for me. No matter when I release light it does not come out. Any tips?
you can’t do it off a launch, sj combo if that’s what you’re trying. do a rising sun, sj.mhs release
tbh not really a big fan of having an assist just to OTG - you can have pressure/AA option assists that let you extend combos off raw helm breaker pretty easily as well, including ryuenjin, jam session, hidden missiles, anything with wallbounce…
@masa j.S to roundtrip has worked on arthur joe and ammy so far, so i assume it works on everyone.
do note that this combo has different timing for after round trip to connect judgment cut depending on distance to corner when using round trip
