I only hope that the interviews are going to be taken by your average unknown players., I’m sorry but I’m not interested in seeing and hearing the same old top players / known players over and over. I been seeing the same old interview/videos of the same old people for years. Enough of that shit.

PS: Hopefully you focus on your average unknown gamers. Because, it’s more interesting in see the unique personalities of non top players. All I’m saying is, it would be more interesting to here from players we never heard of,

I agree, and thats the gripe I’ve had with most Street fighter coverage, so me and some other members are trying to get a “welcome to the tournament scene” type coverage where we cover all aspects of a tourney all the while interviewing the lesser known up and comers and casual players in the scene.

Not to detract anything from this film, as I find it very interesting. Plus the music is great@!

The execution / style of the trailer is great, but the content is pretty limited.

Right now I feel like I’m going to watch FINAL ROUND THE MOVIE instead of a documentary on the fighting game scene. Insert parts / bits from other majors / tournaments you went would have helped in that regard.

Then again this is because I know of Final Round. As one sitting outside of the scene, it would probably work pretty damn well.

And here’s to hearing word from the scene, and not just the people at the top.

Yeah, I kind of feel like that too, but Zethzen said the final cut should include footage from EVO and another tournament. He said he’d love to follow the players around and get footage of their lives outside of SF, but he doesn’t have the time, people, and/or money to do so.

Hey guys, I totally get this. I hope to mix both interviews of top players and new players/up and comers/casual players because everyone has a valid outlook and unique perspective to bring to the table. That being said, you have to realize that when building a narrative film you need compelling characters that you can follow, and it would be very hard for me to follow and make an interesting story out of some footage of some casual players who come to a tournament near their home and don’t show up again, or an up and comer who consistently gets knocked out in 2. Another thing to add is I’m just one person doing all the filming, so I have to concentrate my efforts in certain areas. And like I said, if I know Justin or Ryan or Joe or anyone else is going to give me some really spectacular material to work with I’m going to be more inclined to spend my limited resources filming them. So just keep in mind that I’m trying to build a story as well as create an informative piece on the community.

Also, I’m always open to suggestions on how to improve things, so If you have ideas I’m open to listen.

Well, the documentary will be free for release and distribution online, but it would be a tremendous help if you wouldn’t mind promoting the site through word of mouth at your shop. Thanks!

Both cuts will have footage from many other places, the trailer isn’t necessarily reflective of how the final film will be completely, although I hope to capture that energy and excitement. I do want to point out though that in the trailer there are quite a few shots from Sinsation and NEC.
