I can't do it... :(

If it isn’t because of you running it off a USB stick…

Have you tried troubleshooting? Like finding someone here and checking it out?

I’m guessing that you’re playing ranked and unranked and they might be setting their GGPO setting to 0 and it’s causing lag. Don’t have a 360 so I can help you out there.

ohohohohoho

Erm… I’m thinking this guy might just be talking about the online lag slowdown?

My game works fine offline. But I have a 220 hd…
Anywho if it is a problem with hard drive sizes… That’s a shame that everyone is giving reverge a pass and saying that people should just get bigger hd’s…

Naw, it should just work well on the shitty hd’s… Have like a resolution setting like computer games or something. I can play LOL fine on my laptop when it isn’t displaying lol at its highest resolutions… I can’t see why this cant be done for console games, especially if they knew about the problem beforehand…
But I digress, I’m only a smart person, not a computer programmer. Issues such as time have to be applied as well. Still it would be annoying for me if I were in the op’s situation.

Time to buy a hard drive brah.

aint happening. and i can give you 99 reasons why it aint.

Yeah, it’s the USB stick. I also have a 4GB slim with a hacked 250GB I just put in about a week before SG came out. Once the hitbox glitch was confirmed to be a data stream issue I did a little trial and error and installed the game on the internal storage (ran like complete ass, worst load times by far), and on two different USB drives, one of which was a PNY 16GB model that had been tested as one of the faster sticks to use on a 360. Guess what? The game is back on my HDD and I’m just having to live with the hitboxes, although the load times really aren’t bad (4-8 seconds per) and I have yet to experience any slowdown. I also removed all my video apps and stuff from the internal storage once I saw just how bad the read times are on that POS and sure enough, shaved time off my netflix loads as well.

The game is awesome and plays well, but there are so many signs pointing to the fact that the code is far from optimized. That PNY stick I have never had any problems and I didn’t really notice too much of a difference overall with load times with my games when I swapped them from it to my new HDD, and it did better than the other USB stick with Skullgirls, but I think the game is just streaming data constantly so in the end it will be all about data transfer speeds. Forget about using the internal storage unless you like having time to make a sandwich while the match loads. The PC version will ultimately be the best version due to the potential for more RAM and much faster HDDs so you can just throw more horsepower at the problem, but I would really like to see some optimization done in the update.

When you say the 360 version has more players, is that from personal experience? Because if it does FEEL that way, I was under the impression that PS3 version has a matchmaking issue atm, that is causing finding a match to be extremely tedious right now. This is going to be patched. I know 360 generally has more players overall (On most fighters anyways) but I know there are also some fighters that have more on PS3, and I could’ve sworn Skullgirls was one of them.

Different strokes for different folks.

Don’t instigate an argument.

And these posts are off topic.

Are you searching within your region or going in any region? Due to my connection I try to stay in my region because my connection sucks with anybody outside of my region, and even then, I can get a few matches that’ll slow down pretty bad.

i honestly dont know why anybody would buy a 4 gb console if they knew they wanted to play online, i mean seriously? why not just wait a while longer and get one with a hard drive?

You’re expecting most people to actually take the time to think about their purchases? Shame on you :razzy: . Most people can’t even be bothered to figure out how to use their remote control as it is.

oh god fucking tell me about it. 8 years spent in retail is not enough to prepare you for the plebs you have to deal with on a regular basis…

Actually one of my friends bought a 4 gb with the intention of playing online. The thing is aside from save file he only needs the space for costume dlc. He only plays AE, Mahvel and he managed to make the room for skullgirls. So sometimes it does make sense because it is a cheaper buy. Why get a big drive if you won’t use it? But sounds to me like that other dude is just stubborn

i just figure if you go online then more than likely you will want to download the occasional demo/video etc etc, which 4gb obviously isnt big enough for. or you get a couple of arcade games or whatever/patches/DLC for existing games…

also installing the games onto the hard drive would keep them running longer (in theory) since its not having to spin the disc drive as much etc reducing wear and tear and stuff.

trust me if you had the space you would use it regardless of whether you think you would or not.

The thing is that the 4G is $200 and the 250GB hard drive is about $90, so in the end it will cost you the same price. It’s $200 now and $90 later instead of $300 now. Plus extended warranty on the 4G is cheaper.

At least, that’s the way I went. Though I used a hard drive from my RROD Elite instead of buying the overpriced 250GB.

So basically OPs post is :

Play in online lag and complain about losing

Use peadouble or single character

Kappa

Do they even still make the 120GB hard.drive anymore? Because I have a hard time imagining why I would need a bigger drive than that

This right here. I played Skullgirls on my friend’s launch 360 (I didn’t think those still existed…) and the game loaded up slower than usual. I also experienced a bit of slowdown. Those launch 360s must have been terrible ass machines…

I still get some slowdown on my 2010 360, but it has never been too much of an issue which is surprising since I play both versions(I enjoy the PS3 version more). Hopefully the patch will help 360 users out a bit.

I have it on a old white 360, while the loading times are slow as a ps1 fighting game, the overall gameplay runs smooth.

The loading time for this hd based is terrible… I have many 2gb 3d games on my xbox that load much faster… There is no excuse to why the loading time is terrible on this game…

but once u get past the terrible load time the game is awesome
