this makes the most sense to me too… im just finding a hard time who i want to use on point now… i cant make up my mind lol.(i am debating on Sent,Wesker,or Hsien ko for my point but im not sure? thoughts…) i have been sort of been using Sent (on point) ,Doom(missles),Phoenix(either shot or overdrive) …it seems sent helps everyone on the current team im messing with and with sent on point, dooms missiles shut down. also i was wondering if we can teleport after we get snapped in? prolly not lol huh
You absolutely can teleport on the way in from a snapback. I tested this as soon as I got the game.

arthur or taskmaster alongside phoenix?
my main team right now is arthur/task/sentinel
but i figured
i might try and run with phoenix using her sentinel and either arthur or taskmaster on the last spot
i just don’t want to totally change my entire team for her(and believe me Sentinel Morrigan Phoenix isn’t that unique or interesting…Dark Harmonizer just leaves me wide open with only sentinel to defend myself)
Running Morrigan’s Dark Harmonizer assist is hardly a necessity for Phoenix. Unless you’re not good with Morrigan, that is. Morrigan’s a great (albeit unorthodox) pixie and can generate tons of meter just by rtsd. Use Morrigan’s Shadow Blade to protect Sentinel.

an awesome team for Phoenix from my experience: Taskmaster/Haggar/Phoenix.
Task and Haggar both hit like a truck, build lots of meter and have high health which in a way guarantees you having 5 bars when Phoenix is up even if you use supers, plus you can pretty much sit at long range and use Tasky’s arrows and Haggar’s Lariat will cover you if they get upclose, at least till they find a way around it >_>
My Phoenix team is gonna be Taskmaster/Sentinel/Phoenix
only difference between that and my main team is that there’s no arthur
Yes exactly, Morrigan isn’t a godly assist for Phoenix. Dark Harmonizer is best used alongside characters who absolutely EAT the meter like Viper & other character who burn through meter quickly. Setting up a lvl 5 in MvC3 is not hard at all and I would think that Morrigan is hardly necessary. She’s decent, especially if you want to get in more Hypers before turning dark, but massively overrated as a partner.
In order news… Phoenix has quadrupled in usage online. Goddamn I wanted to be special

No. Its just initial Phoenix had such a large amount of haters because of her “poor” health. That video “Phoenix wants you to face you” was often reposted to mock & and ridicule this character. I was planning on owning with Phoenix, but its no good when everyone is using her. I missed it when everyone used Ryu/Sentinel/etc.

Not gonna lie I never watched her trailer and I wasnt hyped she was in… I just put her on my team because she played more mvc2 espque than most characters in this game… If she didnt have dark phoenix mode and had normal health I would still use her because she’s pretty fucking sick…

Phoenix is really testing my skills as a player
if i lose the match then i must work on finding out how to improve my phoenix(which right now is okay but nowhere near good)
if i win then either my opponent made a mistake or i did a good job of not getting killed
last night someone advised me not to use phoenix because she’s a weak character
and i can see why some people would say that
based on her health alone
most people would probably pick ryu or sentinel instead of her
i just would like to see how far i can go with her and at the moment it seems like i’ve put myself in a tough situation
when people see phoenix
they don’t want to see some half ass player use her wrong and get thrashed
they want to see her control the match and just torch the place as dark phoenix

Pretty avoidable(advancing guard, etc) and probably not very useful, but looking to expand on it anyway, perhaps try and make it more viable. Let me know what you think.
