Yeah Phoenix is pretty dam good though one random super and your out always best to set-up offence from High Tk Shot’s and teleport gimmicks. Iv’e only been blown up once by a random super.

Working on Phoenix Loops with and without x factor i suppose in the case of dark Phoenix you won’t need to go with loops because her most basic stuff does a hell of a lot of damage, can any of her other moves be looped?
also she can combo of any throw with tiger knee tk shots it’s easier to pull of with back throw though
No no no I was not suggesting starting her on point just saying if you do swap her in mid combo ect ect use her Heck if you want die on purpose then swap her right back out full health her assists are nuts in DP mode.

As far as Jean beating in the tin can’s face I mean…isn’t it obvious? Sent actually gets bodied by several chars.
I think top 5 is Phoenix, Magneto, Dante, Storm, then it’s between Wesker, Doom, Trish and Amaterasu.
Sent is like 8th or 9th imo. He’s really awesome with a good assist backing him, but once he’s alone or you snap his ass in and go to work he’s too fucking huge and gets mixed up damn near for free.
sadly phoenix requires too much skill and dedication
for most people to use

Im using phoenix/sent and dante 2mo… its the 1st tourney Im actually using her after a week of practice and stalking the phoenix forums whilst not really posting so I dont look like a bandwagoner… You guys really have shit organised over here and frogjons vids helped me alot as well… Ive got my definate team now lets just see how they pan out
She’s pretty simple if you can meter manage and zone you can play her. The key is just not being to defensive or offensive with her.
She’s really easy to play imo tho. It might be in part because she one of the few characters that have a mvc2 “feel” to them
good luck…i still dont see how people are putting sent on the team. sent without levels is a giant sitting duck.
emblemlord - why do you rank magneto and trish so highly? both seem like ass to me, especially magneto
because sentinel has the highest health total in the game
so he can take a beating and build up some meter
@ P. Gorath-- Magneto Has A LOT of ways to deal a lot of damage. He’s got a great moveset. GREAT 8 way dash, extremely high priority beam, great instant overheads, Hypergrav movement speed increased (although startup time is greater. I’ve learned that assist, x-over, hyper grav is a great strategy), good priority normals, best throw in the game and a level 3 that hits ANYWHERE on the screen and does a crap load of damage. He is someone you are never safe from.
Only real negatives are his low health and lack of a fast L attack… I think his fastest attack is 6 frames but i could be mistaken.
here’s a problem most people have with phoenix
a team has to be centered around her(or it seems that way)
if she dies early before you can get 5 bars
then the whole game plan goes out of whack
and you gotta change it up depending on what two characters you have left
most of the time people are gonna try and snap her in
to kill her in a instant
if that happens
it’s not a pretty sight for the phoenix player
to see the trump card removed from the game before she can even get into the game
And thats where 50sent comes into play both characters are potentially scary with a level 3 xfactor more so than dante… if you lose phoenix you still have sent… with this team you need to play everyone on a equal level you cant just rely on phoenix otherwise you would get bodied… also you need to learn safe ways to bring characters in without meter…
With dante I use hysteric/ Airplay then Tag, With sent Drones then tag and with phoenix TK Hard Shot then tag…
I wish Dnyce used this more he could have saved phoenix alot…
When she gets tagged in you just need to know how to get her out safely
if phoenix gets snapped in then just bust their ass with phoenix…
phoenix builds levels hella quick, you land one good air combo you should be at lvl 4.5 already
when using phoenix
it’s best not to use her as an assist(you can but it’s at a risk)
at anytime any moment
they could punish it if you slip up and bam! she’s dead
that’s why you need a offensive assist alongside your point man
a meter builder helps bring out the dark phoenix
but it leaves you wide open to enemy attacks
