High risk high reward or play a safe keepaway with her using her projectiles, setting the ground on fire(yes she can).
Play keepaway, screw Dph and spam projectile hyper and healing shield with her other projectiles or high risk high reward with high damage and to build up 5 bars for the dread one combo death dealer.
Honestly, think the keepaway will be much better.
She gets hit during healing sphere in at least one of the gameplay vids with her… She only takes the permanent damage, so it’s a pretty huge reduction.

No but the speech itself is awesome. Now we know why half his moves are short. Knock them down and taunt there asses while assist spamming them. So evil.

Now that the Thor taunt is out that he can charge meter, I think he’s a definite on any Phoenix team, Thor/Phoenix I wonder who else you pair with these guys, I would like you would start Thor on point and use an assist to let him taunt enough for enough meter then Bam! Phoenix-Thoughts?

Amaterasu also has a meter building assist. It’s just that everyone uses her cold star.
See, if can be canceled, you rushing down is exactly what the Thor user will want. Taunt, you rush his ass and eat a mighty spark or mighty smash to you face. Combine this ability with Jean, you got a pretty good meter builder for Jean.
Which is still nothing like Strider. Why is SRK so obsessed with deeming characters the next Sentinel or the next Strider? I remember when SSF4 came out and Vega was getting called the next Ken. It’s fucking retarded. Leave that shit to Unity.

Exactly my point. Strider was a special character. Yes he was rushdown, yes he had projectiles, yes he had teleports, BUT HE COULD DO IT ALL AT THE SAME TIME! Just because there are other characters that rely on a similar collection of other tools don’t make them the next ____
There are aspects of him in some characters that I dub his “children”. Dante, Zero, Wesker and now Jean. LOL, so in MvC3 does that mean they are spiritual half siblings?
I agree I remember seeing Zero’s lightning air dash attack and thinking… That’s so strider.
Relying on meter and having a teleport + low health does not make you Strider. Having a playstyle that centers around a hyper that demands specific blockstrings and tight execution, plus grab resets and synergy with Doom assist for Godlike lock + rushdown makes you Strider.
PS, does anyone know why MVC1 Strider was top tier? I know nothing about competitive MVC1.
