To put in on the low health issue: difference between Phoenix dying in one combo and other guys dying in one combo is that it might not cost as much meter (or a KFC) to kill her in said combo like it would another character. I’m going to wait until I see what she’s capable of in good hands until I make my final judgement though, these videos show potential combos but also seem to turn off the opponent’ block feature.
Karas had the lowest health in TVC:UAS and a lot of really nice tools, but his low health ended up being a definate handicap. In MvC3 there are many more ways that you can be opened up by your opponent, assists that hit high/low, many fast teleport crossup characters, unblockable grabs on character death…I don’t think the golden rule of ‘don’t get hit’ can really apply in MvC3. you are going to get hit somehow, sometime almost for sure.
I’m just really worried that Pheonix’s teammate will die, and then she’ll eat an anti-air grab from she-hulk, super skrull or spiderman as soon as she comes in and die with nothing she can do about it.

Of course. You all make good points. It is cause for concern (especially against graplers, and Dante could probably drop her meterless), but not a deal breaker. If I remember correctly Karas was still quite respectable despite the shitty health.
She’ll be alright I think with the right assists. She has a sort of Akuma/Seth vibe: Low health, but definitely dangerous. I’ll use HF to rush down and just play keep away against bruisers. Doesn’t her super fireball walbounce? If so I see so nice DHC shenanigans happening with Storm.
Man after looking at the 2 new videos there’s a couple of things I noticed about Phoenix…1st even though her health isn’t great it may not matter because of that healing hyper it stayed for least 5-6 seconds imagine doing that the whole match she may never die:lovin:…2nd her mixup game is going to be scary along with that teleport did u see what she did to Storm put some crazy assists with that and watch the Phoenix hate grow…3rd…Phoenix also did decent damage without going DP mode so may not have gear your whole team on DP mode which is good b/c you might be able to play on point.
Phoenix ain’t just Dark Phoenix mode anymore-can’t wait to use her

Come on you guys. Most of you have been around long enough to know that here on SRK we only talk about characters in extremes. They are either Top tier or Roll tier. No other tier exists. Every character is either GDLK or garbage. Take your pick.
I like how everyone is saying you can snap her back to stop the Phoneix for free. Don’t forget that a snapback cost a meter. You burn a meter simply to prevent a character from becoming stronger.
Still won’t use the Dips very much because 5 meters is a lot to be sitting on, but something that requires you to burn 1 bar to simply prevent it is simply a really good option.
I wonder what Dips will look like with X-factor on.
Hmm… her Healing Field Super didn’t fully heal her, even when she has less then full life in the new vids. Maybe it only recovers red health or something?
This is what I’ve thought it would do from the start. Did anyone really think that a 10 percent life Phoenix was gonna get to pop a 1 bar Super and potentially get all her health back? Get real folks.
On the plus side though it seems to buff her stamina by eliminating red damage taken.
I thought it was nice trade for her terrible, terrible, terrible health, but whatever. I can see how that could complicate things. No need to get snippy. : (

Her set ups seem like a bit of dalsim/dormammu’s super without meter but rushdown. Like in Sf4. She also seems like wesker but with projectiles. This is just based on the 2 recent vids. With directional torpedo attacks like x-23 except her’s can goes down. Seems like a jack of all trades? Kind wish developers tried to integrate telekinetic powers to keep the authenticity.
Authenticity? Magneto’s power is control over magnetism, which according to capcom means purple shit errywhere. And if Doom ever did his rocket fart kicks in the comics, he’d be more laughable a villain then Stilts-man (oh Spidey, you and your classy villains.)
