I like Jean no doubt. But Phoenix was always…ehh
How has she stayed dead for so long if she can so easily “Phoenix Down” herself?
Except Xavier has more of a personality. Most who hate her hate her due to her personality. Kinda one dimensional, same as Carnage but without the craziness.
And I like the Emma/Cyke pairing better, have better chemistry and seem like a real couple. I hate Cyke in comics more than ever currently.
IMO as of what im seeing now, she not point material because if you get hit ONCE its almost like you played the match with a handicap. And her assist arent that strong according to seth. (still have to see them)
If you can call her as a assist and she dies and turns into DP that would be a major plus.
Charles had no personality up until this whole Vulcan thing and him lying about his past and what not, up until then him and jean pretty much where the same character imo. jean became much more interesting than X right before Morrison killed her off :mad: But her struggle to control her power up to that point and then struggle to harness the phoenix, is what mad her so interesting to me Kinda like rogue

No Xavier had MUCH more personality throughout the years than Phoenix. Jean’s personality was destroyed by the Phoenix arc. Took her and transformed her into a different person. Oh Morrison’s spandex men butchered canon.
Xavier was shown as being wise and caring even before the introduction of Vulcan, that made him into tricky and manipulative as well. Just goes with the wise teacher archetype.
I disagree, but I just think we have different opinions on it.
If this is the only thing she has going for her I honestly don’t see it as worth it.

IF I play her, I will play her as more of keepaway, spamming all those projectiles she has, her healing when get too close and shit like that. I will not play the high risk high reward shit most will.

And the APPLICATION of phoenix in this game is freakin’ great, she looks good, and is interesting and looks fun (if hard to keep alive). I love this phoenix hate the real one

I thought the whole… being really fast on the rushdown, doing decent damage and having really good spacing and mobility tools was the thing going for her.
You want me to be honest? I don’t give a fuck how good her rushdown is, she bleeds like a leukemia patient on blood thinners. No ammount of anything will make up for dat health in my opinion. The heavy hitters are gonna be putting her away with one BnB from the looks of it.

Someone is comboing Phoenix (last character, 5 bars, probably with X-Factor remaining) and then intentionally drops the combo so she doesn’t get to die and resurrect, and then runs away the rest of the match for a time out victory. Get hype.
