That dude who fought Omeneus, Cruxis and took those arrows from that old man, man I have no clue what he was doing fighting in those pits, he’s clearly a cut above the rest of Ashur’s Goon Squad able to compete with the best of Spartacus’s army.
Remember that he’s from Egypt and it’s probably something to do with Rome (or that part of europe) considering the men captured from other lands they don’t respect not worthy to be on the real sands or something along those lines I’m guessing.
Great episode overall and that Blonde Saxa girl has a unique and impressive style with those daggars. She looked really cool and had some fantastic moments during the battle. I’m happy that Spartacus’ people can get over their stupid arguments and hopefully next season we’ll see the factions of his army starting to develop.
I have to say I hated to see Mira and Spartacus break up since it was pointless and he’s a fool because it’s not like he’ll find someone more loyal and useful to him. He had plenty of mourning time now he’s being a pussy
That was without question the best episode this season, and one of the best episodes in the show’s running. It felt like I was watching a full movie.
The resolved a lot of the problems in plot in one full stroke. The forging of bonds was the most essential part of this whole thing and all the petty shit was finally dealt with in a realistic (and manly) manner.

-Illythia is a crazy biotch.That was probably the most ghastly scene in the series thus far (Galbur’s penis and all :wasted:), and that’s saying a lot.
-Spartacus breaking up with Mira will probably be his undoing in the future. At least Spartacus’ wife Sura’s prophecy was right, Spartacus would never love again.
-The Egyptian actually being a formidable combatant against Oenomaus and unfortunately blinding him. I don’t see him dying without messing a bunch of people up along the way. He must have Healing Factor since he recovered from those arrow wounds in like a day.
-Seppia getting merc’d probably was what Lucretia had in mind. Her safety might be in peril if Illtyhia is still as traitorous as before…
-That Neanderthal bodybuilder dude must be so glad he’s been given so much airtime and lines.** “LITTLE MAN FIGHT LIKE BIG MAN!”**
Last but not least, I would let Saxa rape me. Sexin’ Saxa would be like gator rasslin’, only more dangerous.
Am I the only one who thought this season was somewhat disappointing (save for Spartacus cutting that dude’s face off) up until this latest episode? Half the time I sat there with my jaw hanging open…
Well the season isn’t over yet, maybe they will kiss and make up next episode. Can’t wait for next weeks episode, I can’t even fathom what direction it might go, but I get the sick feeling its gonna end on a low note for the rebels. Oh well, time will tell, the writers of this show have a way of constantly surprising me so at this point Im not even gonna try to predict anymore and just enjoy the ride. I do like saxa’s fighting style very much, brings something new to the group and is very believable since it seems more like a speed based fighting style as opposed to power and I think with season 3 they need to expand on the fighting styles present in the group, add some 2 handed fighters but thats just my opinion and a very minor gripe.
On a slightly related note, anyone else gonna be checking out magic city? Its a new show by starz, they are gonna have a special preview of the first episode next week after spartacus and Im really excited. Plus unlike camelot, its already been renewed for a 2nd season so at the very least were gonna enjoy 2 full seasons of the show if it turns out to be awesome. I’m calling it now…Magic city will be awesome. I’m good at telling how shows will be, I totally called Calmeot being canceled (and boring) before it even started.
Anybody else noticing the Game of Thones references in this show? The creator or something said before the season started that they were gonna do a incest thing with Seppia and Seppius but didn’t because GOT did it better.
I think with Saxa (I knew she would be awesome) and Gannicus they already have two double bladed warriors. That guy who banged the blonde slut traitor used an axe (a small one and it should be bigger imo) in the battle scene if anyone noticed so that’s different. Spartacus also used a sword/shield combination so I feel they are already making the styles different.
Well lets hope your right, Im gonna need an awesome show to watch on friday nights/Saturday mornings to replace spartacus so hopefully magic city is the shit. If nothing else, the visuals and soundtrack should be top tier. Camelot was okay, it just started a couple weeks before game of thrones and shared a very similar setting as such anyone looking for medieval action just went to GOT as opposed to camelot. Like airing a zombie apocalypse tv series around the same time walking dead comes back, just not a good idea.
Its funny you should mention that guy because he was what made me realize they really didn’t have a lot of two handed weapon people. Hopefully he gets a bigger role if only in the action scenes to add some variety to the kills. I also love the introduction of archery, gives a believable way to stick the women into the battle without it looking silly if you get what I mean.
The script would have to REALLY suck for it to be bad because they have a great set of actors who can make average scenes awesome. I liked the first 3 episode of Camelot (Eva Green :wow:) but it lost my interest quickly and yeah GOT coming out with all the hype it had killed it.
I agree that archery is great for giving the women something to do which also just makes Sexa even more godlike killing armored men in basically a bikini with tiny knives she made earlier in the episode out of that rock she had.
Like I said I hope he gets a bigger axe (and role tho I’m sure he will if he lives) because it doesn’t make sense for such a muscled dude to have such a tiny axe. I also thought it was weird that Crixus didn’t get the sheild because that’s what he used back when he was champ so he has more experience with it.

Yea hopefully magic city and GOT can replace spartacus and walking dead as my friday and sunda night shows respectively. But on a side note, hbo and starz need to start offering up season passes on itunes like amc. Im ready and willing to actually buy these seasons(especially since my ass ain’t got cable) but since they aren’t available on itunes Im forced to either wait a whole year to watch them on itunes or watch that shit online for free. Not the most difficult decision if you ask me.
Hopefully in the future those two companies realize there is some business to be had in releasing it day 1 on itunes.
