I am SPARTACUS! Starz Original

Wow, they didn’t even try but they made me hate Naviea. I’m sure every episode from now on is gonna be badass.

OMFG OMFG episode was SO awesome!!! it was my second favorite episode of the series (1st being finale of season 1). SO AWESOME!

Best episode of the season.

Pretty good episode tonight imo. I liked how they started the episode off introducing Gannicus and giving us a conversation between the nobles that seemed when the episode started as the usual backhanded insults and grandstanding but when they cut back and told the story of days past showed the scene again to show what was boiling underneath all the manners. It was very cool. Also was the meeting of Oenomaus and Gannicus, you could tell Gannicus was remorseful but I couldn’t help but love how Oenomaus gave zero fuck about history, about brotherhood, about friendship, about anything once he had confirmed his darkness fears that his two most loved people betrayed him the worse way.

It was nice to hear Naevia admit is is fucking useless and it was a huge mistake to rescue her but her wishing she was dead and saying how she was “soiled and ruined” was sad because it means she was probably raped silly by masters and other slaves. Mira continued to be spectacular during the underground sequence and she captured the sense of drama which made me all the more interested in what their big plan was for revenge against the nobles. I guess Lucretia has a soft spot for all babies since after working so hard to help her plans she did a complete 180 when the kid was brought in which was nice I guess in a back-stabby way. I still wanna know who’s the real father of that runt because I’m not 100% sure it is Glabur’s kid, could be Sparacus’…just sayin.

They really gave Gannicus the spotlight this episode and he showed why he is such a popular character because you could really just have a show featuring all his misadventures. Its great to see he is still not tied down and burdened by love or duty like other characters but it was also great to see his perspective on being a gladiator change. You can tell his new life and all his time spent away from the arena have shown him that there is so much more to life than killing for glory. He has grown in perspective but retained his personality and that shows good writing.

The action scenes were better this week but still a little too much slo-mo and they really need to cool with that. I don’t get why Ashur would tell Glabur about the vile when he was so quick to kill him. Hopefully this storyline make him more interesting and give him that push he needs, bashing his wife’s dick father in the head was a devilishly good start to making him the opposing force the writers obviously hoped he be but he’s still not there yet. Seppius and his sister were useless again no surprise and I’m am quickly growing impatient with those two and was a little mad when they didn’t die in the AWESOME burning of the arena.

I was trying to figure out how they would strike back at the nobles and make it count but I never expected them to burn the fucking arena and have people falling into flames. Too sick those final moments of the episode was pure win. Watching the arena burn as the spectators scramble to live while the gladiators fight the guards was quite the sight. It also served as a way to get rid of some rather pointless noble characters that we didn’t anymore all I have to say about the ones who died is…YES!!! That creepy asshole from GOTA is dead, finally I hate that fucking guy!!! Take that spear in the heart you prick!!!

I had a feeling that crap episode last week had to be building to something huhe and I’m glad I was right. Hope I didn’t miss anything.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW the arena scene was EPIC EPIC EPIC. And that creepy fuck got speared!

head smash with the beam was gdlk

Am I the only disappointed that they killed the dude from GOTA so quickly? I was hoping his death would be extremely slow and painful but I guess ill settle for a spear through the heart, rat bastard. Overall this episode was amazing, I was at the edge of my seat all the way through but like reason4U said, when neavia was talking about how she was soiled it made me so sad since she had obviously been raped by numerous “noble” men before she found herself in the mines. Seeing gannicus still looked so tortured and depressed made me a little sad tbh, I kinda miss the carefree gladiator we saw at the beginning of GOTA but its nice to see he developed some depth and I look forward to seeing where they go with him. Mira… oh mira, I love what they’ve done with her, shes useful, but not in an obnoxious, forced kinda way.

Mehn I can’t wait for next weeks episode, Im certain it’ll be a bit of a step down(how couldn’t it be) but Id love to see where they go with all this stories, especially the onomeaus gannicus story.

Last nights episode was season finale worthy!

omgggggg havent seen an episode, or even a show this awesome! episode 5 was all sorts of broken tier. Return of Gannicus, Burning the arena, fat bastard with a spear through the heart, you kind of even felt sorry for Glaber LOL. There are so many subplots running through. Also haha at Lythia bitch for trying to kill her own kid and marry someone richer/taller. FK U SHALLOW BITCH! HA!

I agree with Jak that the reason that Mira is so awesome is she refuses to be helpless and can lead men. But she isn’t some super fast unrealistic learner and hasn’t started killing people with awesome sword skills all out the blue. It’s believable that she could navigate the underground tunnels better than some meathead gladiators.

She also hasn’t falling into the crying every episode trap like other female characters that became hated ( Tara from True Blood) and she can be badass without being a bitch which some lesser shows ONLY badass female characters are all assholes. Her character is greatly written and I wish more shows had writers that could write women characters strong and likable while still believable because there aren’t that many with that combo on tv imo.

Also I don’t think it would have been believable to have the creepy guy suffer a long drawn out death without it seeming like blatant pandering to fans. He is a noble still and they don’t usually end up in really bad situations unless they are screwing over another noble.

creepy guys overacting while dying was what had me rolling. he was trying to milk the last of his screen time.

y’all need to stop hatin on my boy. not only did he DP the hottest chick on the show, he has the best kill observation reactions ever. fuck spears

i guess now that he’s off the show he’s free to play Bison in the next SF movie. no make up. just put the hat on him. Oscar.

also the scene where everybody was nonchalantly walking around covered in human excrement was great- especially Mira. she doesn’t have the kind of nose shape that would allow her to ignore something like that. such a badass. how many of your girlfriends would jump in a sewer for you? i’ll answer: probably just RockBogart’s cuz she’s used to it because he doesn’t bathe properly and also because she’s imaginary.

This post is too silly to take seriously so I just lol’d

Great ep. It was nice to see some of those punk ass Romans finally get murked. And yeah, while dude did get to dp one of the hottest chicks on the show, this only makes me happier that he’s gone.

anyone else annoyed by excessive slow motion??

now they are abusing the “300 effect”.

No pity for Glaber, he and his wife live politics and he just saw the consequences of living a heartless life… at least temporarily.

I’m so glad he’s dead. I hated his Majora’s Mask Moon face and his voice. Fuck his existence and glad his noble ass dead.

I like that Gannicus has a conscience still and I loved that Oenomaus had a good match with him even with the hilt-less handicap. The slow mo fights aren’t as annoying to me as they should be but I can empathize with those who do have a problem with them. They just need more solid real-time choreography.

Mira also is worthy of respect, she’s a Ruff Ryder.

Another beast of an episode imo. I enjoyed seeing the immediate aftermath of last episode so I’ll jump right into the opening few scenes. I knew as soon as I saw the blonde girls face something was gonna go down with her because I knew she had no real feelings for Rascos or whatever but turning her into a bedhopping whore was the wrong move imo. I would have liked to see step up and have one chick learning to sword fight for real but instead she is just used to show what we already know…Mira is the fucking shit son!!! I loved the arrow right past the sword fight into the heart and that was one of the FEW times this show used slo-mo correctly. Mira is just becoming more badass every episode it’s so crazy that this is the girl that was insecure because she couldn’t sleep with Spartacus and giving handys to fat guys now she’s planning on killing Gannicus? That’s character development bitches lol.

I’m sorry but I just could not get into the reunited scene between Crixus and Naviea because the actress changed which is a problem for me because to make that scene work the audience has to remember all that romance was with someone who looks completely different. It was also very hard to see Naviea struggle to be with Crixus because as expected she was…traumatized very badly during her capture. I thought it was great of the show and very realistic to have Naviea not just be able to jump into bed after such a difficult experience because in real life women who’ve been raped develop intimacy issues. It’s tough to watch but it’ll add some good drama to the show and I hope we get some nice well thought out stories from this. It’s off to a great start with her wanting to learn how to defend herself, it would be great to see a woman on the show wield a blade and kill some roman since Mira is using the bow apparently. Warrior women FTW!

Speaking of; my god was this show FILLED with way too many slo-mo moments that made things less enjoyable to see. I wish I could find the guy who thought it was a good idea to slow down the action scenes and stomp on his nuts the way tatoo face stomped on dudes head. Notice how badass the skullcrushing face stomping was? It was even more awesome because it wasn’t bogged down with ill timed slow motion and you got to see a dude get beat to death in real time. The final scenes where the group of killers is…killing only needed like one maybe two slo-mo events. One for breaking the girls neck and one during the Egyptian’s fight against the three guards. It’s getting ridiculous imo

Now on to the main event…my boy Ashur has always been one of my favorite characters second only to Gannicus and Andy’s Spartacus ( not the new one ugh). He has been the highlight of this season and has shown once again why he is such a magnificent villain. He was always cunning but now he is fully healed and can show that he is a force to be reckoned with so it is absolutely awesome to see him finally come into his own. His rape of Lucretia and showing against the guards putting everyone who doubts his ability to be scary and a real threat to shame. Someone with his knowledge of how the gladiators think will make him a bastard to get rid of and his locating of warriors was awesome to see and showed so how crafty and resourceful he is.

Glabur also is coming into his own as a villain and is becoming more vile with each episode and I must admit…I’m starting to like him a little bit. His army of gladiators from the pits are utter badass and their attack of Seppius’ home was scary with them killing kids like nothing and throwing women around like trash. I cannot explain how happy I am that Glabur killed Seppius with his boring ass and he did it with such a demented fashion by mentally torturing the poor boy with thoughts of him nailing his sister after Glabur kills him. I love his Darth Glabur hood too haha seriously thought he was gonna bust out some force for a second.

Gannicus didn’t do that much but be a dick while waiting for Oenomeus but he had valid points in that he’s already free and have no really good reason to become a wanted man again by joining the gladiators. The fight between him and Spartatus was fun and I think Spartacus earned Gannicus’ respect. I loved how Gannicus told Oenomeus who Melitta really loved (he needed that) and I think they may have a small chance of being cool with each other again.

I really really liked this episode so I give it a 9.0 a little heavy on the rape tho maybe they could have spread out the rape stuff a bit?[/details]

Reported for spoiling.

U serious? You had time to watch the show and the replay of the episode by the time I typed that. Stop being a bitch if your serious. I gave a rundown of what I liked and didn’t like like I have the past two weeks.
