Prequel is good. Good story plus some of the hottest chicks of the whole series.

I dont know how I feel about this season so far. I mean its not bad at all but this new Spartacus is horrible imo. Bland acting. Crixus was never good either but I didn’t care since we had Andy and Batiatus back then. Now… well, meh. Maybe Ashur will do the trick.

Yeah, this season is starting out real slow. Not sure where it’s going yet.
Also makes me miss Camelot for some reason.
The first season also started out slow too, I think around episode 4-5 things will pick up.
So far, I don’t hate the new spartacus but he’s no andy, maybe in time he’ll grow into his character and get beefed up.

The new Spartacus’s whispering combined with his nasally voice is annoying. He also doesn’t have the slight cocky confidence that Andy possessed which made the character more likeable, especially when he was giving Crixus shit. I think once Gannicus reappears, more of the playfulness from the previous seasons will be back in the series.
new episode leaked yesterday. they turned the nudity up to 11. also my boy is back.
I need to catchup only watched the 1st episode of this season…So does Spartacus go full frontal yet?

This time in season 1 Spartacus and Crixus were fighting theokeles at a level of 10 on the badassery charts. At this point its looking like a giant mistake trying to replace the 39 year old Andy with such a young babyfaced small pastey dude. Its kind of ridiculous looking at him standing next to these massive dudes and trying to take him seriously as a gladiator, or any kind of warrior leader. Hes smaller than the common house slaves swinging their dicks around.
I could overlook this if any of the characters on the show were interesting at all. Glaber seems to be a big-time dud replacing Batiatus as the co-lead. Oenomaus, the only character left anyone cares about, wants to kill himself. Fuck.
I really hope Gannicus saves this show.
i think that shit all the time. theres no way i can buy into a small ass dude leading guys twice his fucking size. its hard to get by that and enjoy the show. its not even the fact that he cant fill in andy’s shoes, but rather hes so fucking small. hopefully he can bulk up by the end of the show.
The only disappointment I’ve truly felt recently is knowing that they recasted Naevia. I was so dead-set with Crixus’s mission to find her and then I saw the flashback and was like- “Oh, that’s her now… eh whatever.”
This new guy is doing a good job imo, I do agree he doesn’t have the same commanding presence as Andy, but charisma is nearly impossible to learn.

Anyway I never liked Crixus on this show because he’s so stupid! He has always been dumb but causing a rift in the gladiator ranks to save Naviea who is fucking useless was so new levels of lame. I get it you love her but I just couldn’t get into this storyline at all and felt Spartacus should have got his balls up to tell Crixus “no this is dumb…like really dumb, we would be walking into a trap” and shut shit down.
Mira is fucking awesome btw. Loved her in season 1 and even more so now, her leaping cat move was fast and made all the slo-mo fight scenes the men were having look crappy by comparison. I think the show needs more real time fighting like the first season.
Finally why is seppius such a useless character so far? They better have something more in store for him besides him wanting to always be banging his sister. Boring character so far and so is Glaber, I actually like his wife trying to leave him because that blonde guy all the women love is much more interesting to me. His scene with Itlithea was more fun to watch than anything Glabur has ever done on this show imo. I guess he has more charisma to me because he always steals the scenes I see.
Weak episode but I’m sure this week’s will be better.
