I forgot to mention that it works on empty jump as well. It’s pretty much the max range for full U2 animation on empty jump-ins. The only way out for Ryu is to ex tatsu after the ultra flash. It hits full if Ryu tried to tatsu(no matter which strength) after the ultra flash.
…What a way to go
New Nagao matches.

Axe kick > c.MP > c.MP xx LK Tatsu working on Abel in the vid.
Is that combo already in the combo sticky? Might need to consider making a character specific combo thread.

Y24 vs KOK’s Evil Ryu. He got beat pretty bad lol but it’s ok because it’s by the best Chun Li in the world ^^
Looks like ER doesn’t have a reliable move to counter Guy’s elbow drop.
cr.MK doesn’t lower his hitbox low enough to make it whiff
cl.HP and cr.HP can whiff if elbow drop is done at certain ranges
st.HP can whiff or be stuffed.
But that fake cross up? Fuck yeah. Added to the guide.

Another unblockable I believe. DP fadc HK axe kick, dash x2, j.HK on Guy.
C.mk can AA elbow drops but it has to be far away(abt half screen distance) and the elbow drop has to be done pretty high up in order to be able to do it on reaction. You can just walk forward and be able to c.mk if they try this to bait a srk. But the best AA for elbow drop is U2 imo. The only drawback is to be careful not to do it too early up close and only do it when you see that elbow. C.mp can also beat elbow if you do it right.
E.Ryu’s walk speed and dash is one of his best tools imo cos when you combine his dmg output along with it, opponents will think twice before they mash buttons. I seldom see players utilise his front dash though. It’s hard to reaction-punish his dash-in c.lp and gets you counterhits if they try to crouch tech. Due to its speed and lowered hurtbox when dashing, he can also dash under a lot of stuff and be able to punish sometimes, e.g Guy’s high elbow drop on top of E.Ryu.
You might wanna add in to the kara section that srk and focus can be kara-ed with c.mk too. His c.mk kara timing is very similiar to Ken’s kara srk and focus. There is also a slight distance difference between doing the kara early and slightly late. All versions can be kara-ed except mp version cos you’ll just get a kara focus instead and lp version looks like U2’s first srk.

Inputs included.
Fake cross up??
I agree, I use cr. MK and buffer into HK Tatsu a lot against Guy players who keep spamming elbow drop. Most of the time they are trying to bait a DP or cr. HP(which they can punish the recovery) so you can hit them with the tip of Evil Ryu’s cr MK. Either they get really close to you and you DP or cr. HP them or they do it a bit further and you can use cr. MK, and if it whiffs they can’t punish it so there is no draw back to throwing it out just in case they’re close enough.
EDIT: I just watched the Nagao video. Man he let Tinshi get away with way too many elbow drops. Seriously, Guy shouldn’t be getting away with doing elbow drops that close to Evil Ryu, not even DP baits as I mentioned above. Nagao kept blocking or trying to do st. fierce which constantly failed for him. He started anti airing better towards the end when he switched to cr. HP instead. Hopefully he works on this, I’d like to see how he does again in the Guy match up. Personally I find Guy to be a very annoying match up.
I added focus. Didn’t add kara SRK though (didn’t have the inputs). Will do. Can you provide me with the motion ( :df::f::hcf:::mk:~:hp:?)
Don’t know if that was a fake cross up or a genuine unblockable against Guy in the corner, but I added the setup though.
The inputs you mentioned works too and I think that’s what the input was in the vid. Just pause the vid and you can see them. In fact, you can just do any srk motion ending at df, then plink mk with punch. It works even if there is b or db in the srk motion. And the kara focus in the vid was a c.mk kara. Inputs are any variations of down, mk~mp.
If you’re referring to the match against Guy that I posted, I only did a j.mk that whiffed against Guy in the corner cos I have problems doing divekicks early. Haha.
Nagao’s dash x 2 j.hk setup should definitely go in the guide imo. It seems unblockable or real hard to block at the very least. The vid also shows the Guy player getting out of the setup with run slide.
I kept trying that Evil Ryu set up against Guy until I got it to work. Here is what I’ve come up with
-not a unblockable, I guess you can call this one a fake cross up
-If they block it as a cross up, it hits, if they block holding back, Evil Ryu’s j. HK will whiff
-Timing for MK and HK axe kick are different. HK seems harder because you have to wait just a tad longer where as with MK axe kick you can dash twice almost immediately after the recovery
-if Guy does does EX tatsu, it will whiff so you can punish with whatever
-Guy can not escape with a dash or focus dash. A OS sweep will catch Guy’s dash recovery. If he tries to focus the cross up, it will whiff and he will still get hit if he dashes immediately
-Guy can escape with run, bushin, and MP/EX shoulder. OS sweep will catch LP and HP shoulder, but you need to OS jump forward or just react to it to punish a whiffed MP/EX shoulder.
That’s what I got, if your findings differ then let us know.
BTW, I found a unblockable against Seth. If you do a HK axe kick on a grounded Seth, and whiff a sweep(although not immediately, but almost), then you can land a unblockable j. HK. I couldn’t get this to work with a SRK, FADC, HK axe kick. Only worked when my opponent was grounded, but maybe the timing is just different, who knows.
Awesome. I’ll add it.
