Great set again Tko, one suggestion though. I noticed that you didn’t go for any dive kicks off a back throw. I’m not sure if you don’t know about it or you just don’t want to do it. But in case you didn’t know, you can land a meaty dive kick off a back throw. After the back throw, just dash once and jump immediately into the dive kick. This is a example of me doing one in a match.

If you already knew then forget about it. But if you didn’t I think that’s another great way to land big damage. Got a question as well, is there a reason you don’t go for axe kick combos? You have that cr. jab into st. fierce link down pat, but you always immediately go for the tatsu afterward. Are you not confident about doing the cr. strong/jab link after MK axe kick yet or is it something else?
Hey guys! I’m gonna enter a local tournament on the 8th and gonna be busting out my Evil Ryu. I’ve usually placed high with my main but I’ll be throwing my Evil Ryu in this tournament from start to finish.
I’ll upload all the videos I can and you’ll probably see random things I’ve worked on/working on.
Here’s me at the tournament letting my evil . I dropped the BnB quite a bit, nerves got me, it was double elimination but i really didn’t care for winning i was there supporting a friend and testing out E. Ryu in tournament, when we met in top 16, i had to face my friend i went there with & i pretty much threw the win away cuz this tournament meant more to him, as bs as it may sound.
Nice matches Fisticuffz, it looked like you got really frustrated in that Chun match up. I would know because the same thing often happens to me. I hate the Chun match probably more then any other match up in this game. Better normals, great anti-airs, hazanshou goes through fireballs, U1 stops fireballs, FADC back dash to escape every jump in, EX bird beats every jump in that isn’t a safe jump or empty jump bait. It seemed like some of those reasons played a part in making you get impatient and just rush in blindly at times.
Better luck next time though. But you would have probably won that 2nd round of the 3rd match had you not dropped that combo. Would have been interesting to see a 3rd round.
To be honest, I don’t think I rushed much, only when he didn’t expect it and zoned accordingly but got caught slipping. As you see, whenever the opportunity arrived I jumped in and caught him, then dropped the combo or safe jump and punished, or he block then mixed up.
If I could change those and have hit my combos I would have won. We played in casuals after and ya I won 5-2 just proved to myself if I landed the combos I would have won cuz personally I felt I zoned as best I could with the advantage chin Li has in that match.
I really didn’t feel defeated or out played more like lost rather than him winning ya know?
I’ve only used Evil Ryu a bit so I think my progress is well on its way.
Naga is , once again, taking up videos by storm, showing off his increasingly impressive evil ryu. Straight destroying ace with a full bar and a half set up. As you can clearly see, he used a full bar to put ace in the corner did a , amazing, setup to hit ace with the hard kick, using the combo to gain 2 more bars of meter…dude is sick
Naga is the most impressive Evil Ryu I’ve seen to date besides Sako’s. I’m glad there’s people playing this character because he’s definitely scary in 2012. I really want to see KOK’s Evil Ryu though
Very impressive Evil Ryu play by Naga. I hope he becomes a regular on YF’s channel. And what the hell at that cross up round house? Can it just be blocked like a regular cross up because I don’t think it’s possible to make Evil Ryu not cross up in that situation.
And yeah, after seeing those match stats at EH, I’d also like to see KOK’s Evil Ryu.
That new technology right? seems there is some way to make it a weird cross up or something way worse, if u notice ace tried to block it different both times he got hit with it and failed twice, meaning this is indeed a setup and not something regular
