For the whole ST Vega wall dive thing, it has nothing to do with its “consistency” the command is actually different.

Rather than charge down, up + kick, the command is charge down, kick, up. A way to consistently do this is to piano two (not 3) kicks, because if you piano 3 you might get back flip.

If the trap is done perfectly, there is no opportunity to escape. And if you think that’s impossible, well, people thought RCs were once too.

It’s not a perfect lockdown. It’s really really fucking good, but not a 100% lockdown.

Blanka is also sorta immune to the trap, as the scissor doesn’t hit twice against him… (and s.mk whiffs i think? i dunno)

What Bison trap are talking about, he has several.

link some good bison players right now, you guys are all wasting time talking about a character that sucks. bison is just a cameo, the main characters are what counts. bison is a filler character, put in to add “color” to the game.

There IS no perfect lockdown in street fighter champion +. Capcom is smarter than that. There is always a way out.

if they are doing that cr mk st lk mk scissor kick on the 2 second rep u can do it

if they are doing 2 st lk into scissor kick character pending either the 2nd or 3rd but a good bison player baits the st jab and just does crusher

I’ve always been under the impression that the proper block pattern was cr mp, st mk, mk scissor kick and repeat. If the scissor kick is on hit, the whole thing even combos which is beastly. But yeah, the trap doesn’t work against Blanka, but not many people play Blanka anyways.

Sorry don’t know where else to put this, if you know where, let me know. I’ve been doin the SF2 HF on Live and getting owned to high hell by E Honda and this one dhalsim player. E honda is a bunch of belly flops, I can’t get past them period - I dunno how. The dhalsim player seems to have a real nasty tick game involed with the inclose jab I think it is into a strong through - I can’t jump, I can’t block, I can’t attack. Any help would be wonderful.

Now the innner scrub comes out - don’t tell anyone this. I don’t get throws in this damn game. Seriously. I’m mid animation for a standing strong with character A and get thrown. I’m doing a jump kick and while I’m still in the air Honda grabs me and stars making love to me. I understand ticks into throws, but I dont’ see how people and the computer seem to be able to throw thru everything almost like a roll cancel.

Throwing is an art in street fighter. Don’t think…feel.

you’re probably doing early jump kicks? that’s bad…really bad. either way, you end up in close proximity to the opposing character…lag doesn’t really help you neither…the guy could be mashing on Fierce.

I realy don’t want to think about Honda making love to anything… :xeye:

But to answer you questions as far as when you getting grabbed; in the early street fighter games you can get grabbed out of you pre-jump animation. In the later games, cvs2, SFA3, 3s, you can’t get thrown in pre-jump. That is where you see a lot of the empty air whiffed grab animations that would be throws in ST/AE.
