Oh don’t sleep on Lin! She comes in handy with other aspects as well, like special ability cards. Special cancel, jump cancel, and super armor cards benefit from her as well. With Lin (M), Lin, Daredevil, I was able to do Skrull’s infinite 10 times before meter ran out. No other combination got that high. Mephisto(M), Lin, Daredevil only got to 7 reps. So it seems that Lin’s meter usage > Gain HC gauge of the same strength. I do like the fact that with 3 Lins, you can do a HC before you reach 1 bar…it can be used to freak out your opponent if they are unaware.
Here’s my scrubby deck which I’ve mainly been using to combat Sabretooth decks. The team I use with the deck is Wolverine/Akuma/Wesker.
Kaijin no Soki(Pri)/Lin/Silver Surfer
Soki gives me super armour on the ground at the cost of meter and level 3 attack power; Surfer constantly regenerates my meter and heals my assist faster (nice bonus); and Lin reduces meter cost.
What this allows me to do is go in and derp without having to worry too much about people pressing buttons on top of having the dirty best friends mixups. Sufer keeps me topped up on meter which means I almost have constant super armour and I also build a shit load whenever I get a combo. The damage boost in combination with the meter build (For DHCs) severely hurts or kills most characters, forcing them to DHC or raw tag, and I am protected from raw tags because of the armour so I never have to bait. Lin reducing meter cost helps a lot.
I’ve been messing around with the second slot a bit, I like Lin but I wanna try and find a card which makes the deck even better. Need to unlock everything first.
Just tried out a new deck last night with a LOT of success. I know there’s been some talk of Lilith, but she is the ISH! The deck I was playing was:
Lin / Lilith(M) / Lilith
Team is freakin’ awesome with whomever is main, really. If you land a super, you get a super back. If they block the super, you get %75 of a super back. If you land a happy birthday, you get 2 meters for landing a super. It’s CRAZY. Last night against a saber/cage/cage guy who hand a big streak going, he kept calling out sent. So when I predicted he was going to be on the screen, I did Book of V with strange (got both, gave me 2 meters), dhced into stalking flare (gave me one meter), did another stalking flare back into Book of V and boom Sent was dead, AND I was plus on meter. The rest of the game I just zoned his frank out with chaotic flame/flame carpets/stalking flares.
I think team infinite meter > regen. Sure you can regen, but you are never going to touch me
Still haven’t found Serpent or Captain Commando yet, any location suggestions?
Got some new decks I’ve been using:
Mephisto*/Daken/TheWatcher: This is primarily a deck for Hyper-combo fiends who hog lots of meter but are good at keep-away.
Mephisto*/Lin/Mystique: For those people who use Devil Trigger or Sougenmu a lot.
Also just for laughs:
Godot*/Spider-Ham/Howard the Duck (makes people think twice about comboing you). You can also swap Godot for Red Hulk or Ryu if you want an X-Factor Burst.
After a little card hunting over the last day, I can honestly say… I don’t think I’ve ever had more fun with Haggar’s :d:+:h: than I have today just dicking around with Lin / Vile / Black Widow. Just dash-cancelling into it over and over again, it’d almost be humiliating if not for the way it’s limited only by how much meter you have on you at a given time—seriously, try it… that much fun should be illegal. And if it is, then we can get Mayor Haggar to legalize it.
But so far, as fun as the combo makes itself out to be, it only works well for very few characters… Spencer, for example, is one of the best ones it works on. Being able to chain together around two dozen normals is actually kind of fun for a bit of a flourish—not exactly great for damage, though. Here’s an example for Spencer that does just over 440,000 damage, and only uses one special at the very end of the combo.
If I want to piss off the computer my team is phoenix + whatever and use mephisto/multipleman/and whatever. wait for DP and win. and if I want to put salt on my french fries I use nemesis/hulk/sentential and use sabretooth plus two luke cages lolololololololololololololololo the hate I get it pleases me it is neat
Haha, with two Luke Cages, according to Sleazoid’s helpful data on page 3, that’s two Level 2 health boosts… the maximum 50%! So 1,150,000/1,200,000/900,000 becomes 1,725,000/1,800,000/1,350,000! That 4.9 million heath is like having 5 Wolverines.
I’ve been screwing around with some alternative deck configurations:
Jester’s Deck
Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words… will kill ya
All taunt cards:
Secondary: Gain super armor when you perform a taunt. [Lv. 1] (uses HC Gauge upon hit)

**AKIRA ********

Primary: Upon performing a taunt: Temporarily increases attack power. [Lv. 2] + Temporarily gain the ability to cancel one special move into another at the cost of HC Gauge.

Configuration:
Cards: Akira (primary) / Dazzler / Lord Raptor

Team: She-Hulk, Akuma, Deadpool

Akuma and She-Hulk have fast taunts, and Deadpool’s have damage properties so you can work them into combos. Chun-Li’s fast taunt would make her a fair option as well (does anyone know any other fast-taunting characters?). One highlight I recall: I was facing down team Trenchcoat and Dante super jumped away from a clothesline. While he’s up there floating, She-Hulk is babbling “Is that it is that it is that it is that it?” while flexing her arm, boosting health and gaining a Level 3 attack buff. It’s absurd.
Haha I was playing with a taunt team last night. I really wished I knew how to play Deadpool! The fact that he can cancel his taunt into guns, tp, or anything makes him + Dazzler really broken! Altho not being able to configure a useful button for taunt kinda makes it annoying, he’s still fun nonetheless…
I believe zero has a fast taunt. It looks pretty good I just wish H&H allowed you to play with friends to mess around with your decks so much fun but most never see the light of day because most go for the most broken way to win no enough fun. I heard the speech does work because it’s like a taunt but don’t quote me on that I’ve never tried it
Haha I am now going with Kingpin / Red Hulk (M) / Kingpin
This is deck “ONE OF US IS GOING TO DIE”
One throw with Dr. Strange into super is 900K!
One DHC kills many 2x luke characters. I was doing so well with this deck that now I’m starting to get ducked in matches Why duck me? It’s just a game…
But anywhoo, this deck is REALLY fun against peeps who don’t have lukes. Random chaotic flame = BAM! Dead!
haha and heaven help you if I get the hero bonus going with Kp / RH (M) / Kp…
Another card that’s fun is Hunk on main. 1 full HC bar per parry! During a chaotic flame I could block, throw out a parry, repeat for the duration of the super and end up with max bar! It’s just stupid, but of course parry in general is stupid. Just tap towards your enemy. They throw out something, you parry and counter. If they cross you up, you start blocking normally and then just reverse the parrying…so stupidly broken…
I really wish there was a player mode, I bet we could get some good rooms going in this mode.
I’ve barely had the opportunity to get myself into H&H recently thanks to uni starting again, and frustrations with finding a match in the first place. Because SaberLuke is beyond repulsive to me now (just from encountering it less than 5 times), I dreamed up a touch of death deck out of that frustration.

With my main team, I can hit confirm into an XF/DHC combo that can hit for at least 1.5 million points of damage (having Trish at the back means I can use up to 5 bars if necessary), enough to kill most SaberLuke’d characters instantly assuming I can finish the combo. Of course, it depends on me being smart with my activation of X-Factor and being able to complete combos online. I truly hope I get results out of this next chance I get to play the mode again.
