Is the jump loop char specific? I sometimes cant do it vs certain characters, any tips?
The lightning loop seems to do more damage now (or scales less, or Rekkoha scales more) because for one of my combos doing the exact same combo with Rekkoha does 760k but with 1 super worth of the lightning loop it does just over 1 million.
I think it’s the latter, Rekkoha seems to scale stupid amounts. Same reason why Rekkoha XFC Rekkoha doesn’t seem to do anywhere near as much damage/ life bars don’t accelerate as much. Though not 100% certain.

Supers don’t scale. Rekkoha minimum damage is fixed at 180 0000.
Lightning Loop has always been a better use of meter. Assuming you use 2 Busters and 4 clean lightnings, that is already 200k damage without taking into account the clone
While it was worded poorly, that’s what I meant: “scales more” should be “gets scaled by more” in my post. Still, a 250k damage boost (plus extra meter built) makes me think the lightning loop is too good to not use now.
The jump loop’s not character specific but does anyone know what’s up with Dormammu’s hitbox? There are some other chars too but can’t remember off the top of my head. For some reason the timing on the air magic series is different on him, else I somehow manage to make sj.H whiff and end up on the other side of him.
Sure I’ve learnt to readjust but yeah, WTF’s going on there? Poorly phrased I guess, but go and try it out.
Um…Could someone post the notation for the lightning loop please? I’d like to learn how to do it…and that does TK mean? (Sorry for the stupid questions)
TK means doing a motion before jumping so you get the jumping special very low to the ground. A TK fireball would be :qcf::uf::atk:
Lightning loop is basically (after Sougenmu): jump, buster, :dp::l:, :dp::uf::l: x 6
or [jump, buster, :dp::l:, :dp::uf::l: x 3] x 2
Based on this comboI figured out a better one starting off a st.:l: and does 770k meterless, but uses Dante’s Jam session.
I lack recording equipment sadly, but maybe one of you could record it for me if I give u the inputs? its not hard really, but…yeah. can someone do it please?

What ? That’s all there is to it ? Guess i just have a problem starting it then. I’ll have to get the lighnting loop and the dive buster otg one tomorow then.
BTW, i think it have already been figured out by everybody but using Strider’s gram as an assist allow to get from one corner to the other with a simple magic serie. A simple neutral jump is enough to connect the dive after the j.MMHS and you have to dash after the gram and but that’s all.
u probably can but the damage is scaled a bit since you’rs using L and M. the loop i’m showing here only uses H and S (and L for charge and raikousen etc) which is maximising the damage.
to get past the 2nd OTG, u need to cancel the cr.H into S and then S very quickly. U can hear the timings of it when you do. if it helps, you can ignore the cr.H and just go straight for S if that helps.
I’m not the best at using Dante’s assist but i reckon i could do the same amount with vergil’s rapid slash assist at the end of the 3rd OTG and ryuenjin to finish for a meterless combo.
Oh yeah Vergil’s assist is good as well. The thing about the dante combo, is that ends with hardknock down :h: Dive so you can cancel it into Rekouha and then dhc for over 1.100.000 damage depending on your 2nd char.
Anyone want to try improving my Zero combo? Can’t seem to think of anything too amazing for my old Vanilla team. Right now I’m running Wesker’s otg gun assist and Ironman’s Unibeam but for the most part I try to not include Ironman’s assist at all as a combo extender because I would usually put him at the end and by then most combos I think of drop. So right now my corner combo goes like this
:l::h::f::h: :s: > j.:d::h: j. :h: > land > jump > j.
> level 3 buster > raikousen > :s: > j.
j.
j.:h:j.:s: > wesker assist > :s: > j.
> level 3 buster > sentsuizan > rekkoha
It does about 615k but I feel like just doing solo Zero combos nets almost as much damage and is a lot more consistent since the last j.m to level 3 buster drops kind of often. Any ideas on how to improve this?
Yeah Zero can do ~800k maybe a bit more just completely solo using the Ryuenjin cancel or jump loop combo into Lightning Loop. No bar requisite.
TBH it’s the case with A LOT of multi hitting assists now, simple magic series. Land, call plasma beam +neutral jump and do H Dive. Easy relaunches all round. That buff to H Dive is sooooo useful for me right now. Pretty much every thing’s carry to the corner.
what combos are you guys using once you have hit both characters aka /Happy bday lol
[whatever on the ground gets you enough time to charge buster] > launch MM Buster, L-Hienkyaku, relaunch, MMH (2 hits) S, Rekkoha. There’s probably more damaging options but this one is 100% reliable.
Ok thanks, that might be a practical combo then. Landing directly a :d::h: in match is lucky, at least to me. Damage scalliing isn’t my first concern, it always comes second.
Anyway, i have been practicing the lightning loop and holy cow ! That’s not hard at all ! It looks like it is but It remind me a lot of Viper’s seismo cancel from SF4. Once you got it, there ain’t no turning back until you pull it off effortlessly. Even after half a year without practicing it, it’s hard to forget to. The timing is the same once you have landed the first TK Raikouzen as the seismo cancel.
As for landing it, i find it easier to do :
Jump :dp: xx Buster cancel; :dp::l: :dp: :uf: :l: until the end of sougenmu. I’m doing it raw so i don’t know if it’s possible in a combo though. From what i see, the raikouzen
add 20k to the loop and is hard to miss, even if you screw up the raikouzne cancel.
And speaking of raikouzen buster cancel, i think you can begin Mystic Kal combo with it.

The dive->buster combo is SOO good for happy birthdays. I got a happy birthday midscreen the other day and was able to do a FULL zero combo on both of them (okay, I skipped the Virgil assist extension because I was scared of it acting weird on two characters). Even ended in a level 3 for good measure. (damn you Wesker and your 1 million health).
Setting it up with M raikousen seems pretty hard (the only way to do that is with an assist). Imo the best way to set it up is with L raikousen->sougenmu->j.Buster. L raikousen is something Zero uses very frequently near the end of combos, meaning you’ll be able to just tag on lightning loop to whatever you were doing instead of doing sentsuizan->rekkoha.

pretty much the same buster loop but with vergil and dante assist enders so you can end with rekkouha. dante can end with rekkouha and does 832k damage but i’ve only got 10 seconds to record stuff but u get what i mean. meterless with jumping QCF. h, buster, lightning and ryuenjin is about 750k as well. it almost makes using meter pointless with zero
