It seems like it causes too much hitstun det. to do much with it in combos. And they pop out way faster is looks like.
Really? Last time I checked I think I could get the lite steb ender at the end of my combo. But dunno.
I’ll have to try it out. I can’t even get S in time for the steb ender when I use Doom assist.

How much damage can you guys achieve mid screen without assist?
Just got a combo, starting from j.:h: (2hits) and cr.:l:, only with Jam Session.

This is nuts, 1 assist!? I am finding less and less need for Vergil.
MODOK, Taskmaster, Dante, and Zero. Just give them assists and their combo potential increases so much. Zero is doing Taskmaster damage now.

The timing for that last relaunch is pretty difficult though.
Could add in one more lightning for extra 35k damage, so effectively 950k for one meter with 2 being built.
Yo ive been working on my zero, as his turns out to be the character im most comfortable with -
right now im working with zero-ghostrider-akuma and I need some tips(besides working on the lighting loop atm)
my team isnt necessarily dhc friendly with ghostrider so I want to do as much damage as I can with just 1 meter. Is it a good idea to use ghost riders otg assist? or will that screw up my hitstun? im pretty much only getting 1 footdive otg into lighting before they drop after 1 hit when I relaunch, this gets around 400k without meter and I wish to do way better then that. The first issue arising from this “bnb” combo is that they drop out after one hit after the relaunch not giving me that chance to use my meter, im thinking I should just scrap what I have so far and im about ready execution-wise as im now able to otg footdive cancel into blaster into lightning here in umvc but how should I go about doing more then 400k-500k w/o meter?
well, sorry to sound like a dick… but how come I see all these amazing combos but when i see tournament zero matches, i don’t see anyone doing anything closely related to these combos. Also, most of the combos start off in the corner, or close to a corner. I don’t understand this though, like… What’re you guys using for high level play and not just flashiness?
Is there a reliable midscreen and corner BNB that works well online that can break 550k? I’m using Zero/Wesker (gun)/Doom (beam).
Because most Zero tournament players are either really out of touch with the Zero metagame or purposely play Zero in a simplistic style. I would name names but yeah.
The ‘flashy’ combos we’re doing here aren’t really hard, and we’ve been doing them since vanilla, they’re fine for tournament play and all that. But no Zero in the current US tournament scene that I’m aware of cares. There’s a lot of pros who really don’t want to put in the work. Even Viscant admits that his (vanilla) team is made to win with the least amount of effort possible.
I haven’t even seen that many good Zeros in tournaments. Maybe that’s why stream monsters think he does no damage. I’ve seen and played better Zeros online than some of the Zeros I’ve seen on streams.
The only good Zero combo that I’ve ever seen was pulled by Nini on the Canada Cup(?) stream. People don’t really know Zero can do tons of damage. The same thing with other characters.
People know Taskmaster does good damage, but they don’t know he is doing the exact same damage Zero is doing. That guy can do 700k meterless with assists and over 1mil damage on a combo that builds 2. Dante also the same case, just look at the real Dante pros do some crazy shit and doing tons of damage. The same goes for Spider-Man, MODOK, and many others. **You just have to put in the work. **Who knows when we are going to get the next version of this game, or even the sequel. During that time, don’t think people are still going to rely on Taskmaster’s abcdefg combos, things are going to get way cooler to watch and cheaper (hopefully.
If you play Zero/Vergil you can just do xxx st.:s: j. j.
j.:qcf::h: call Vergil-Y neutral jump j.:qcf::h: and when the Vergil assist is hitting you can literally run from half screen to the corner and continue the combo with a launch lol. Then you do your normal assist ender. I don’t know how to do that extended Dante Jam Session extender but when I do it should hit about 700K and it’s easy. I don’t like the midscreen Ryuejin combo because that cr.:l: link doesn’t work after a jump-in.
Most zero matches I watched, Zero get raped before they can hit the opponents …People played him so reckless. Zero was a very agressive char with a lot of options in vanilla, but maybe Dante/She Hulk/Wolverine was better choices… I read in the other thread that zero can´t zone wolverine… I agree… I Think Zero can´t even face Wolv…People tended to think “I´m the most agressive char, I´m a mix up machine, so I would face anyone” and get destroyed.
Zero can totally zone Wolverine. Especially now that Berserker Slash isn’t invincible and dive kick is nerfed and lighting cancels exist. You can basically just play Street Fighter against him, shooting buster shots and anti airing dive kicks with Ryuenjin+Dante.
