So, has anyone got any good combos for a Sougenmu-induced Zero?
It seems that the regular combos don’t seem to take advantage of his super, and usually breaks midway because of the second Zero.

I will, I just want to share in a fun an exciting way! Really see through the potential first to give a good finished product.

I think I am going to have trag do this one for his videos, because it can be done easily by a non-zero player.

Still experimenting but it seems that there isnt anything that you couldnt do with a :qcf::atk::atk: in terms of damage. Seems pretty useless except for a mixup.

Or as an assist.

Not really a combo, but more of a reset using Trish’s Peekaboo assist. After a launcher stay on the ground and call Trish. They’ll fall into the assist on the way down. Do what you will after that. You could do Marn’s BnB and then end it after the launch with this reset to stop the damage and hit stun decay - launch again in the air combo, end with super.

Any tips on linking the :f::h: into another :l::m::h:? Can’t get it exactly. Sometimes I get the :l::m: and it stops at the :h: and sometimes to don’t get any of it.

Is there any specific timing? I seem to drop the combo either right after the first :f::h: or after the first :l:

Thanks a lot, works perfectly. Also have another question for anyone with an answer. How in the world do you maintain the charge during the :l:, :m:, :h:, :f::h: loop??? I cant do it to save my life. Ill prob be back with more noob questions soon.

The timing for it is really strict. Best advice really is to just sit there pounding it until you see exactly how it needs to be timed. I think it’s basically impossible to explain in text. Only tip I can think of is to make sure you do the :f::h: as quickly as you can after the :d::h: since it knocks them into the air and turns it into a really strict juggle.

Seems like the only way to get the timing is by mashing :l: after :f::h: , if i try to time it right never seem to get it.

ok so i should start charging at the beginning of the combo with :l:. When you say pound it out and mash or you saying that i have to hold down :l: throght the entrie combo until i release it?? Im dont completly understand

The way I’m doing it is by putting :l: on L2, then I hold :h: on shippuga while I let go of the trigger and rehit it for :l: and continue charging with it.

I’m practicing by putting the CPU on All Guard and doing the l m h shippuga loop over and over again while trying to keep the buster at level 3

There’s a timing to it, just try and see how the character looks on the times where he does get hit, then use that to understand the timing (so that you can do it no matter who the character is)

for me, double tapping :l: helps a lot. and if u drop after the first :l: after :f::h: then you have to just press :m: quickly after double tapping :l:.

and for the charge, it takes practice but you pick it up quite easily. just do it over and over.

There’s a rhythm to it. Initiate with :l: :d::m: :d::h: with :f::h: coming out as fast as you can, then hit :l:. If you’re swinging underneath, you’re too soon. If the combo ends, you’re too late. From there you should be able to figure out the timing.

I don’t know if there’s a good combo or reset from this, but I’ve found that you can do :s: j.:m: j.:m: j.:qcf::l: :m: and it can link. Maybe someone else will find something worthwhile from that. Maybe you can do a few loops of j.:qcf::l: j.:m: all the way to the ground for a relaunch?

been messing with this Sougenmu combo. Can do up to 1,218,100 using 5 meter and X-Factor (not worth it :P) Average damage using 2 meter was around 600-700k I think, so I’m not sure if it’s worth using sougenmu at all, but I wanted to try finding optimal combos with it.

They have to be relatively close to the corner (it can push them a bit) and you would have to land the first hit immediately after activating sougenmu. This is basically the most optimal combo I could find with it in my last few hours of training mode. If you don’t land a hit immediately upon activating sougenmu, a few hits of this combo can be removed to make up for it. Anyways…

:l:, :m:, :h:, :f: :h:, :d: :h:, :f: :h:, :s:, j.:m:, j.:m:, j.:h:, j.:s:, land, tiger knee’d :qcf: :m:/:h: (OTG), :h:, :f: :h:, :s: From here on you’re at your bnb air combo, sougenmu should run out right after the launch or shortly afterwards. From there you can team aerial combo, or knockdown into super, then XFC into level 3 for teh lulz damage.

I didn’t mess with it but now that I think about it, I’m not sure what the difference between his air :qcf: :m:/:h: is. Haven’t checked damage or anything. I’ll mess with that eventually I guess…

Also, for some reason landing :f: :h:, :d: :h:, :f: :h: in sougenmu can be really tricky. I haven’t figured out the timing exactly, but it seems very strict and you have to do it quickly or it’ll drop. It drops midscreen at least half the time I try it… the corner, not as often.

Let me know what you guys think. This isn’t too much of an impractical combo, as you can work around it depending on how much time you have left of sougenmu and what hit you start with. The first hits you should remove if you’re short on time are the :h: hits after the OTG, and skip straight to launcher. I haven’t tested this out as much midscreen, the few times I did I was having a lot of trouble connecting some of the air hits. I’ll mess with it more though, as this was already a few hours of experimenting to get this far. Not to mention using assists and the charge shot. Although the meter may not be worth the damage, we’ll see.

Second day with the game for me and I came up with this combo. Sorry for the bad quality, my camera is pretty bad.

:d::l::m::h: > :l::m::h: > :f::h: > wesker assist > j.:m: j.:m: :d:j.:h: > launch > j.:m: > full buster shot > :l: Raikousen > launch > j.:m: j.:h: (make sure they’re above you when you do j.:h:) j.:s: > :h: Sentsuizan > Iron Man assist > full buster shot > :l: Raikousen > Genmu Zero

Does anywhere between 830,000 to 930,000. Damage fluctuates for some reason…

Any chance of seeing a quick video of a particular charge method?

Is anyone willing to post his combos from the strategy guide?
