I’m really not feeling Dante tbh, the nerf to Akuma’s Tatsu might just force me to drop him in the Zero team, really depends how easy it is to still combo off his Tatsu/ use it as a double raikousen combo ender. =/

Really fucked off about the Dormammu Carpet nerf too, not the distance (that’s alright tbh) but the fact that the carpet disappears once Dorm’s hit. =/

What happened to Dante in UMvC3? The Dante boards don’t have much concrete info on this subject. Other than Sky Dance not being as reliable in combos (probably slower startup?), nothing is really certain for him, so I don’t see any reason people would want to drop him.

Still a “best friends” combo for Zero in my book.

Hammer isn’t invincible anymore… that’s another staple gameplay element removed… although I did used to never do hammer at all so I could probably get by without it… I’d just miss it now that I score so many wins with it lol

Couple of people at SDCC were saying it. Haven’t verified in video yet but I wouldn’t be surprised.

I don’t mean to beat a dead horse or anything, but I found a way to make this combo very easy and very consistent (the buster, to j.mmh loop anyway).

5.S->sj.MM-> level 3 buster->sj.2H (just before landing)->land->[j.MMH]x2->5H->5.S->s.jM->level3 buster->sj.623L->land->j.HS
The timing for j.2H is very lenient, and even gives you a little bit of time to let them keep falling afterwards (if necessary).

I still need to test this on large characters though, but if it works this is definitely gonna be my corner bnb (mostly for the meter gain, but the tiny bit of extra damage is always nice). I’m a meter hog (trying to reach 4 bars as quickly as possible so I can do super broken stuff), so I’m trying to find the best meter building combo available.

This sounds nice. I will test later. But I assume that’s corner only.

I just started using zero, not sure who to pair him with so for now I’m using ammy and dorm. This thread is horribly organized can someone give some bnb’s that don’t need specific assists please?

Basic combo.

j.:h:->2:l:->2:m:->5:h:->6:h: ->5:s:->sj.2:h:->sj.:h: (land)->5:m:->5:s:->sj.:m::m:->lvl3 Charge shot->j.623:l: (land)->:s:->sj.:m::m::h::s:

Assist extension (insert after ^^)

call assist->2369:h: (tiger knee dive)->5:s:->62369:l: (tiger knee lightning dash) (land)->jump->lvl3 Charge shot->623:l:->2369:h: (tiger knee dive)->236:m::h: (or any two attack buttons)

You can add on a second assist extension before the rekkoha by just repeating it.

How consistent is this, I am new to fighting games in general but i really took an interest in MvC3 and am loving it so far, My zero is pretty basic compared to all of you guys my BnB is pretty much standard magic series buster raikousen relaunch rekkoha, is this combo consistent with enough practice? to incorporate it in my gameplay? i’m willing to put in the practice of course in the lab.

Yes it’s very consistent with a little practice. It works pretty much the same on any character and still works after most hitconfirms (if your doing it off of something like buster->lightning dash though, take out the Lightning dash before “:s:->sj.:m::m::h::s:” and replace it with L command dash).

yea I started doing that after i saw most of the videos almost everyone went for L dash instead of lighting unless in corner, however i am having problem with this (im in the lab now haha) do i do sj.2H at the peak of the jump or as soon as you launch?? can’t seem to get the timing right??

It’s a slight delay after the launch. If done correctly, you should begin falling almost immediately after the third hit of 2H (you can do it even later than in the video actually. If you do it really late though, only 2 hits of the j.H on the way down will hit. It will still combo into 5M afterwards though)

thx alot i’m getting it now, but i can only get it when i super jump straight up instead of at an angle to try and push to the corner, is it not possible to do it at an angle???

It is possible to get it at an angle. I delay the j.2H to be quite a bit later than the video (to the point where I actually start falling before 2H even finishes). Only 2 hits of the j.H will hit on the way down (I’ve occasionally gotten 3 hits on super fatties, but I try to delay the 2H as much as possible to prevent this for consistency’s sake). It’s trickier than the straight up version because you have to make sure your jump timing after the launch is correct as well (you should delay your jump very slightly to make sure you don’t go over small characters)

A TAC combo that builds 5 meters.

well, to do this extension you need an assist that hits multiple times and hold your opponent near the ground after the launcher (like Chun-li, Amaterasu, Dante, Haggar…) or else, that tigerknee lightdash won’t connect.
