Hey Guys I been stalking the hulk forums for a while now. I might as well post a video of a recent tournament i was in which i placed first in. I missed a lot of combos but i hit most of them. I also did a lot of random things lol but it all worked out for the best. Edited to post as a youtube video

Good stuff Sinister. That ToD is sexy. I have a question though, how tight is the timing on the gamma wave to AA gamma charge? and what versions of the moves are you using. I only managed to hit it once every 5 or 6 tries and want to make sure i’m doing it right.
I’m using Light gamma wave into Heavy dp gamma charge. Use the L version of gamma so that two hits connect then u follow up with dp gamma charge. When timing those two together u wanna make sure Hulk is not completely in the corner but kinda close to it or else you will only get one hit from the L gamma wave.
Always remember that being too close to your opponent in the corner results in a one-hit Gamma Wave. That messed you up at 6:30. I think you were doing this on purpose though from seeing your combos throughout the video.
A little too much j.S for my playstyle. A lot of characters can easily anti-air you, and every character can airgrab you before its active frames. More dash-cancelled j.Hs would be preferred.
The positive though is that you’ve upped your mixup game tenfold from what I recall in your last matches. Your pressure is solid, and you keep your opponent guessing a lot. On top of that, your bnb is getting the max damage that Hulk should be getting from single hits.
I placed 1st Saturday in a 36-man bracket using my Hulk/Dorm/Wesker team. The bad news is that my Hulk barely did anything in these grand finals. As shown, Hulk is free to Wolverine with assists.

Good shit with the comeback but there are some things I shall address. First of all your defense. It wasnt just Hulk that was free to that team with assists. You gotta get more comfortable fighting that matchup. There were also times when u ate akuma combos with a character coming in. I dont know if u were pressing buttons coming in but you got looped. One other major thing is that i’m guessing ur team is based on hulk tod’n the opponent but your Hulk doesnt have any help with his assists as far as covering himself. Your matches were basically Hulk vs. Wolverine w/ some of the best assists in the game and thats a hard fight. Overall you need to get more familiar with that matchup. And if u are it didnt show in those vids.
I don’t think there’s any more “getting familiar with the matchup.” It’s all 50/50’s from the start of the match. On top of that, Hulk is prone to instant overhead combos, and you’re not going to block those on reaction. As for pressing buttons when I was coming in, I was trying airthrow him, but it was my mistake on pressing it too early. Hulk got reset several times because I was trying to wakeup Gamma Crush (still not sure why it wasn’t coming out!) for the happy birthday.
I flew through the winners bracket pretty much only using Hulk. In fact, I demandingly took winner’s finals 3-0. That team in finals was just really tough to crack. You talked about covering Hulk, so that’s what I did in the second video. I took Doom with missiles to stop Wolverine’s left/right domination.

That was pretty awesome to watch. Gamma Charging with Sent drones assist is risky against smaller characters (Nova actually could’ve punished it), but you put on the pressure well. I saw that sneaky dash-over cr.L too. Too legit.
If you’re close to your opponent, you can always go for a command grab while calling Sent drones. This makes it safe unless the opponent has a beam super or Bionic Arm. There’s a time and place for that though, and you didn’t need it in those matches. lol
Yeah thank you for the feedback. I don’t play vs this guy that much so he didn’t know how to handle the hulk so I stayed basic with him. My friend Aaron plays nova and I figured that out real fast lol. I “use” to use the command grab a lot but after the patch they mess something up where I can’t combo with it anymore. Before I could L command grab to mid screen, assist with drones, gamma charge H, Gamma Wave, All 3 Drones hit, dash jump cancel j.h j.s into a full combo. Now I can;t get all the drones to hit, only the first one hit and they fall out. I <3 his command throws tho I try not to use it to much anymore because people caught on to it so I save it for when i really need it. I steal a lot of stuff from you guys that post videos on here so I thought I might as well share mine, mostly from Astaroth and mr.sinister. For example I saw you guys use gamma charge for a cross up on incoming chars. So I made up my own crossup using the same concept. Assist with drones, Gamma charge H,h , drones hit, J.h, j.s.
I’ll post my recent tournament last friday, where the matches isn’t so one sided. I made 2nd in this one.

(I was able to do 100% on ironfist at the start of the match 1:22:13) , (1:23:59 Crossup with drones, 1:26:19 S.h cancel into command throw), (1:47:22 This is a good match because AAron is the person i play VS a lot so we know our match-up pretty well. Also Serious Black)
I’m totally stealing all of those drone set ups and combos. Gamma Quake Drones Gamma Crush in the corner, I love it.
those are nice mixups with sent drones and i liked the otg with spencer after the air throw.

Ok I cannot get this to work. Can someone else confirm this? Am I just inputting that second charge too late?
Go to the combo thread for a breakdown, just make sure you get full hits for every gamma charge
