You have a point, but you can’t deny that jigglypuff mirrors are some of the most boring matchups in the game.
Jigglypuff mirrors are indeed boring. Wall of Pain is nowhere near as fun against a character that can recover just as well as you can lol.
Seth said fighting game fans should be happy with what they have upcoming. So we have three companies now with room to make this game …
- Capcom’s TVC team is now out of work since MVC3 shipped, I imagine they could be on task with a new, cell-shaded, three-button DS as is their style.
- Nintendo’s new systems need a new Smash to sell it. I imagine releasing Smash as a DLC game that could be played on both the Wii2 and the 3DS would strengthen both systems and their faith in their new online network. Of course you could always buy it in store still.
- Rare is sitting on their thumbs for sometime, whether or not KI was popular in the East, it’ll sell big in America/UK.
VF is too recent to be a big return and BR not big enough.
That wasn’t Daisuke Ishiwatari in the MvC3 credits. That was Daisuke Ishiwata or something like that.
I thought the same thing at first too.
This may not be true if the rumored Super MvC3 is indeed in production.
I’d much rather them work on a new game entirely or TvC2 than MvC3.
Really? I was curious about it, googled and it was on his Facebook page…then again, it is Facebook…
Well shut my mouth! I just googled it and your right. Apparently he did do some programming for MvC3. Hell I didn’t even know Daisuke Ishiwatari was a programmer.
What the hell is going on here? Is this just a matter of mistaken identity with that Daisuke Ishiwata guy having a similar name and people getting the two confused or this legit?
It’s not like the name Daisuke Ishiwatari belongs solely to the Guilty Gear creator. So even if that name is in the MvC3 credits, it’s not necessarily him.
I dunno, it said he worked as a programmer on it, if you watch MVC3’s credits, he’s first billed on programming…
If it is actually him, unfortunate Capcom didn’t…heh…learn from him about content, training mode…and stuff.
Yeah thats what I was thinking, but when I googled “Daisuke Ishiwatari MvC3 programmer”, his name, face and credentials all popped up. Several websites had him listed as a programmer for MvC3 and a few even went as far as to call him a lead programmer.
Curious…o_O
You guys realize Cap is too polite to come out and say the KOF series is dead. And to make another CVS would alienate the casual crowd who doesn’t care at all. I’m not trolling, it’s just fact. SNK has dropped in value a lot since 99’.
Say it without run on sentences so I am able to understand what you are saying here.
Ryota Niitsuma has expressed interest in making a new CVS3 a few times, so who knows.
Who said anything about CvS3? I don’t think anybody here expects the announcement of a new Capcom vs SNK game. At least not while SFxT is still on the table.
Really? KoF is pretty big in South America, Mexico, and far East Asia.
Fair enough. But America/Japan and Europe are some pretty big market’s to be missing out on.
You’re right about that. I just read a few posts of people asking for it and I wanted to get the thread back on track. Same thing I did with all that Jigglypuff talk. Just not the place.
Far East Asia includes Japan as well. However, I can agree that it is bigger in China, S. Korea, and Taiwan.
Sure. We had a machine for 12 in Hawaii but it kept moving arcades to find an audience for it. It was sorta a loss all around I’m afraid.
