Most shops are charging over $200, a few $300 for the SAME FREAKIN’ STICK!
$30 for shipping is NOTHING if you consider that overseas shipping is at least $50-$60 on top of the $25-$35 you WILL get charged for the “procurement” fee. You might as well be giving someone a license to mug you!
If you ever wanted this stick, ORDER IT FROM THESE GUYS!
IMHO, this is a better stick than the MadCatz TE… Especially if you’re the sort that lives under a dark cloud… you know, the kind of person that breaks at least 1-2 dishes a week!
This is without a doubt the best stick Hori builds now. Like MarkMan said, if you want easy access to its guts, the top panel with the cap sockets makes a huge difference.
I’ve gone ahead and modified ALL my HRAP-style cases with cap sockets. I’m not going through the B.S. of having to remove 26 screws, nuts, and bolts every time I want to do basic maintenance or switch out parts. That’s for the birds!
Problem with certain USB controllers not recognizing the stick. There is a post about it on these forums (tech forums) already with solutions and ways to see if your USB controller (usb ports) will be compatible or not.
Also PS3 version doesn’t work with PS2 games if your PS3 is backwards compatible. Total deal breaker for me. Also button layout may be more comfortable for some. To me the HRAP fits better with the natural shape of my hand.
This is actually something that got me quite upset Bought a HRAP3 from the same store (ArcadeShock, i love 'em!), about under 2 weeks ago. Totaled 165USD shipped to Australia, and was pretty much gonna stay as a single owned stick for quite some time.
A measly +$20 to what i payed for the HRAP3 was actually upsetting, especially when you factor in the costs of importing replacement Sanwa buttons, I’d be looking at a total of just over $200USD where as if i just fricken’ waited, could of gotten the SA.
Regrets…regrets, but still love my HRAP3…just…yeah.
Amazon also has the SA on pre order for October release and it’s free shipping…! i’m so tempted to just get the TE and get it over with… but knowing myself, i know i would be curious when the SA comes out too… i actually really like the looks and the button layout of the TE… it’s the Madcatz name that bothers me about it…
sweet I stand corrected. I hadnt been to the arcade shock website for a while, looks like ill be getting an SA if they arent sold out before september arrives, I wonder if theyll still let us So Cal people pick one up in person, to save on shipping…
I would totally be all over the EX-SE if I were sure it would be common ground. But for some reason Hori sees it fit to make all of their 360 sticks thus far non-common ground for some reason, so yeah…
i went ahead and bought the TE at a local GameStop today… it really has a nice presentation… i’m only a casual Street Fighter and i almost bought the SE, but i just couldn’t get passed all the negative comments users have about it… i didn’t like the idea of voiding the warranty just to properly fix the stick… i really like the button layout of the TE… when the HRAP3 SA comes out and if i’m still as enthused about it as i am now, then i’ll reconsider it again…
