Not using a restrictor plate at all will eventually kill your microswitches, that plate is a safeguard.
And I have no problem doing circular motions on a square gate, I do on the other hand have trouble doing strict dp motions on a octogonal gate.

is it possible to put a LS-40-01 onto a HRAP2?
i’ve heard that the second version of the HRAP1(the one with no mirror top)
can’t be modded with LS-32 stick???
iSanwa JLF-TP-8Y-SK or LS-32 stick?? cuz im a 3rd stike player
I’m having a hell of a time trying to remove the QDs from the HRAP2 buttons, any tips for removing them?
e: never mind, I just used pliers to pull them off. Hopefully I didn’t damage anything
Just got mine in the mail (yeah i’m a little late) I’m hype as hell though, can’t wait to leave work and crack the sucker open.
Yeah I have a hard time using the octagonal gate. Too hard to feel the corners.
i need some advice and tips regarding modding the color of the turbo switches on the HRAP2 box. what brand of spray paint do people use and what is the exact color of the HRAP2 box. i mean ya you say can say its generally white, i but i mean the stick around is a little off white. if possible can anyone tell me name or even number of the color. and yes i know this is is a little tedious and techincal.
^ ^ ^ I’m wondering the same thing.
I’m very curious about how easy it is to get those switches out… and back in again. Would you have to open up the bottom or something?
I have one coming in the mail and I suppose I could wait to see but I am way to excited for patiencE!!! WaaaaghughQLihjdh
Hiya.
I’m curious as to what would be involved in modding an HRAP2 with a Seimitsu LS-33.
I love the idea of a shorter shaft, but it doesn’t appear to have a 5-pin connector. How would one go about rigging one these on an HRAP2?
Also - does one need to secure the L1 and L2 buttons’ wires in any specific manner? (It being understood that I’m plugging the holes.)
Would their merely being taped to the bottom of the board be good enough, or would that lead to electrical problems? (I’m no electrical engineer, obviously.)
I’m planning to do a full seimitisu mod on my hrap2 and was wondering does screw-in seimitsu buttons work? i heard snap ins were recommended or was it just for sanwa buttons? can i use any seimitisu balltop on my LS-32-01? also for the start and select buttons what seimitisu buttons can i use for them?
thanks.
Seimitsu buttons snap ins fit like a charm and their connectors are the same as hori’s, so those are the easiest to install and you won’t have to open your box every few hours to rewire your stick like you’d have to with sanwa buttons:P
“you won’t have to open your box every few hours to rewire your stick like you’d have to with sanwa buttons:P”
can you or somebody else elaborate on this? i was seriously thinking about sanwa buttons for my hrap2, but now i’m reconsidering.
The quick disconnects do not fit really well on sanwas, so after a few hours of intensive plays they tend to come off. If you want to use sanwa(and yes, they are a lot better then seimitsu) you’d either need to solder them or get new quick disconnects that fit the sanwa buttons.
Never ever had ANY problems fitting either Sanwa or Seimitsu to my HRAP. The connectors on both brand of button are exactly the same size/shape. I just had a look at some spare pushbuttons I have lying around, and if anything, I would say Sanwa’s connectors are in fact slightly thicker, and should therefore be a tighter fit to the HRAPs QDs. Not sure what caused you the problems, GoLD ReaVeR.
you were using an hrap2 yeton?
I have a HRAP1, but I doubt Hori would be as anal as to put a different brand of QDs in different models of the HRAP. I know a friend of a friend who does have a HRAP2 with Sanwa buttons, and he has never had any problems whatsoever. Just go and buy those Sanwa buttons, you won’t regret it. If the worst comes to the worst, you can crimp the QDs, no big deal.
custom art
how do I put the custom art on my harp 2 ??? I can’t find a guide how to…

those links are the best help you’re gonna get. unfortunately, there’s no template available for the hrap2. to tell you the truth, i don’t think anybody has ever placed custom art on an hrap2. maybe the best way to go about this is to remove the metal plate from your stick and scan it. i don’t have a scanner though. :wasted:
yeah, screw in seimitsus work fine. The seimitsu nuts are smaller than the sanwa nuts so they fit even with the buttons being so close to the stick. you could also get sanwa screwins with seimitsu nuts.
Whoa whoa, Seimitsu screw-ins work on HRAP2’s without any problems? This is new info for me.
