Hrap ex lever replacement

I recently got a hrap ex shell with working pcb without a lever, and am trying to wire the 5 pin harness for my existing ls-32 harness version and I can’t seem to find a ground on it’s ribbon cable that works with all directionals. Anyone have any advice or done this before?
Edit: I would like to avoid soldering to my ls-32 but will if I have to.

the 5 pin connector on the harness should slide onto the levers 5 pins

you might beputting it o the wrong way, just turn it over and try the other way

or if you have a lever without the 5 pins, then you can put a wire in either the 5th or 1st hole of the harness depending on which way you look at it and then daisy chain to all four directions

make sure you connect the ground wires to the correct pin on the microswitch of each direction

It doesn’t have a 5 pin harness so I am having to install one. For some reason hori soldered hot and ground directly to each switch on the ex and ex-se versions of the hrap.

That is good advice and would normaly be helpful if I didn’t end up with this sorta thing.

that big grey multipiece wire, going from the pcb to the lever, 4 of them strands ends is the ground, and 4 positive, it already looks like its connected to each switch on the lever

maybe there is a bad connection to pcb

also if you put the ground on the wrong pin on the microswitch it will stay on for all the directions and wont work when in game

Based on the truth table I made it is definitely not common ground, so looks like I’m installing my padhack and going from there.

the pcb in the early 360 hraps is not common ground… so you might wanna get a LS32 (non 01 neither 02) so you can solder to each of those microswitches by their own…

another option is to get another 360 pcb that’s common ground and replace the stock hrap ex pcb

there’s also a non-commonground to common-ground mod that you can do with AND/OR logical gates or something

If you don’t have time neither want to buy another joystick you can cut some traces on the seimitsu LS3201 pcb so that the ground isn’t common and solder every pin for the microswitches

I’ve already started transplanting an existing common ground 360 pad hack I just forgot to post about that.
