i wouldnt dremel the heads off, but maybe dremel a straight line on the head itself so you can use a flathead screw driver?

Damn amazon shipped fast for it being free…I really recommend the EX-SE stick to those who are sanwa fanatics like me. It’s a really nice stick for realz.

for those who dont know… HRAP SA (speical addition) is for SANWA and the HRAP SE (special edition) is for SEIMITSU.
How easy is it to switch the buttons around? I’m not a fan of the layout of the a,b,x,y buttons.
Just pop open the top and switch the QDs around, its not very difficult even if you have not modded anything before. Just make sure you make a note of which color QDs are for which button.
Just pulled the trigger, got the SE. Didn’t have a true quality stick for the 360, and had $70 in game trade-ins post from Amazon today, so the whole thing actually priced out at $20 for me.
At least that’s what I’ll keep telling myself. Otherwise I’d just start banging my head against a wall because I bought another $100 stick.

Yup it opens from the top with a hex bit like the TE. I just got mine today, but I haven’t pulled out my wrench set yet. Overall I think its a pretty good stick. I think its kinda weird the way the Headset thing sticks out so high off the panel. Only gripe so far.
I really like the white case. The black cases look so clean, but this one is cabinet color.
That did the trick. I’ve finally gotten the stick out of the case. Now to do some parts trading. THe LS-32-01 and Pearl Seimitsu buttons from one of my Modded FightStick Wii are going into this one. I’ll replace that LS-32-01 with an LS-32. I don’t know where I’ll end up putting my MC Cuthulu boards…
Just received my EX-SE last night and boy do I love the feel of the seimitsu stick and buttons. I am considering swapping out my HRAP3 sanwa stick for a seimitsu. If I buy the LS 32-01 will it be a straight swap or do I need to mod it a bit to make it fit on my HRAP3? Also, I tried using the EX-SE on mame today but was unable to make it work. My HRAP3 works perfect but had no luck with the EX-SE. Can I have both sticks plugged in at the same time for 2 players on mame? Can someone help me out?

Do you have a regular HRAP 3 (the one with the black carbon fiber faceplate) or a HRAP3 SA/HRAP3 SE? If its a regular HRAP 3, you can’t put in a LS-32 without modding. Only SA/SE HRAP 3s on the PS3 can take a Seimitsu joystick without modding.
Ah, sorry, I should have been more clear. What I mean to say was as a sanwa fanatic I really enjoy using the seimitsu stick. Just wanted to suggest people try it out.
Mounting Bracket in HRAP 3 cannot take Seimitsu LS-32-01 unless modify the HRAP 3.
Either modifying the Control Panel by drilling holes, or modify Seimitsu LS-32-01.
Drilling holes, you would have to first remove the welded Mounting Bracket.
Then drill holes into the metal Control Panel to work with LS-32-01.

I have the regular HRAP 3. It originally came with hori buttons and a sanwa stick but I went ahead and replaced the buttons with sanwas. How bad/difficult of a mod am I looking at?
As always, jdm714 has you covered. Like his post says, you have to drill holes on the control panel or modify the LS-32.
Another option may be getting a custom control panel in our trading outlet, but I’m not sure if they are still being sold. The custom panels can be fitted with a universal mounting plate that should take Seimitsu sticks. You would have to PM hbreakz to see if he still sells them.

So what seimitsu stick can I buy for my HRAP 3 without having to do any modification? Will the LS 55 or LS 56 work? Do I have to buy any kind of special mounting plate for either stick and do they come with the wiring harness? Is there a difference between the LS 55 or LS 56 compared to the LS 32?

Apparently the 55 and 56 will fit anywhere a JLF will.
I agree. At its going rate, it can’t be beat. In some ways I feel a little better on the LS-32 than on the JLF, but I still can’t consistently do 360s in games other than SFIV.
